I liked the space and the beds were comfy. The unit felt roomy, but the main bedroom a bit small. I loved that there was plenty of heating options and the full length mirror. I loved being able to use the guest laundry.

There's no option to alter the air conditioning unit ourselves so we couldn't get the correct temp for us. Each unit should have their own airer rack rather than having to wait on other guests to be finishing finished with the 2 for all guests, this would help to reduce the environed impact of using the dryer. The cost of using the washing machine is extreme and you can't even use your own washing liquid/ powder which isn't helpful if you have skin allergies, we still had to do hand washing in our unit for 2 of our children which was far from convenient. There were only 2 hot choc saches but many more of tea/ coffee. The toaster either seemed to only heat the bread, not toast it, or burn it, it may need replacing.

Awesome location with large open grounds. The studio unit was well appointed.

Access to the room was along a rear pathway which was not lit when we returned in the eveniny.. There were lights in the border garden area but these were not turned on. Similarly, on entering the room, the bulb was faulty for the light which is supposed to remain on so that you can slot the card for turning on the power to all the other appliances. Not big issues but someone without a mobile phone light would have been lost. A couple of plates and the fry pan hadn't been cleaned sine being used. I assume this was an oversight as there was good attention to cleanliness in every other way.

We loved everything, the location was great for us, the grounds were beautiful with space for our daughter to explore and the unit was clean and spacious and well equipped. We were asked if we needed a portacot when we booked with our 1 year old, it was there when we arrived with all the bedding and I was able to borrow a baby bath too. Our unit was cleaned during our 3 night stay, so nicely and with a little note and treats :) the bed was super comfortable too!

Loved the space outside very quiet and rooms equipped with all you need. Units were tidy.

Felt the rooms could have had better trundles as very uncomfortable and pretty hard to sit on as a couch also. They must allow animals but need a better vacuum as seen it in the carpet: and noticed when checking on departure under beds haven’t been done for some time.

We loved the peace and tranquility at Longbourne Lodge. It is very close to the airport and Dunedin itself. Our hosts were very helpful in pointing us to the channel to view a Six Nations rugby game. Thankyou both. Highly recommend this property if yr looking for some R & R.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

We had a beautiful stay - lovely cosy cottage, beautifully clean and welcoming, with all the personal touches you don’t often see anymore (being shown to your room, fresh milk etc). Hosts are absolutely lovely and it was a truly welcoming, relaxing and lovely place to stay - thanks for having us!

Nothing - was absolutely perfect

The owners were very welcoming and friendly! The property was spotless! Lots of tea and coffee were available and lots of milk. It was a good location and the views were beautiful! A screen was present on the patio door preventing insects from entering i.e. flies and bees.

This is a great location and the units themselves large and well appointed. We had a very comfortable nights sleep. The refurbishment of the bathroom and kitchen fairly modern and clean. Great shower. A great cafe across the street. The host very sweet walking our milk over to our room .

Nothing it was great.

There was nothing too difficult for the owners. Each morning we would have knowledge of the roads (due to black ice) quickest route to drive. Even suggested sites to see and if we asked they would supply an answer. Wonderful.

You would have to be a difficult traveller to not appreciate the detail, openness and quietness of this place.

We wanted to stay out of the city of Dunedin, so chose Mosgiel as our base. The motel was perfect for our needs. We couldn't have wished for anything more, apart from more time to stay. You could easily spend a week here but we just had the one night. There's plenty of room for suitcases and drawer and hanging space for clothes. We only used the kitchen for breakfast but it seemed to have plenty of cooking utensils to make meals. The outlook from the verandah was lovely, and it was very quiet and peaceful.

The vanity in the bathroom was rather small. A built-in vanity with cupboards below would be better.
