We were so grateful for the upgrade to the one bedroom suite & being offered a choice of rooms- main or upper floor & different layouts & locations in the building. The room was very spacious- with enough room for both of us to unroll our yoga mats for a good stretch in the evenings. We loved the round window & relaxing seascape colours of the decor. The big spa bath was a real treat as well. The hotel is impeccably clean and within an easy walk to the beach- there is a feeling of ease and generosity about the place.

We don't mind traffic noise at all, but a thought for noise sensitive travellers is that this hotel is on a busy street.

The manager went above and beyond to make our stay memorable despite the fact that they were experiencing the storm of the century. We were able to book in early, she pre-warmed our room and even upgraded us to a bigger unit. The unit was squeaky clean and well equipped. TV had more channels that you would normally get. The spa-bath was absolutely the cherry on the cake for us. We will definitely stay there again.

Could you please provide a toilet brush? We don't like if we can't clean a toilet after we used it

Jacqie was so very friendly and kind to myself and my wife Sharon, the welcome we received was as though we'd stayed there before, the room was very spacious and comfortable, extremely clean throughout, the bathroom/spa was an extra that we didn't expect, restaurants, local shops and drinking holes were recommended and nothing was to much trouble, we would most definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone who intends visiting Nelson, thankyou for your friendliness and hospitality 10 out of 10

There is absolutely nothing negative to say

This motel is on the main road in Tahunanui, so very easy to find and in such a good position for the beach area, restaurants, pubs and lovely walks around there. I was in a one bedroom unit on the ground floor, it was really spacious, very clean, with modern furniture, and THE most comfy bed!! One of the things I really liked, was that the motel was very well appointed with modern plugs - including USB inputs, and loads of them. So you didn't have to juggle having all your phones, etc in one plug. There was a TV in the lounge and bedroom, both were a good size and had all the channels and streaming services available, plus easy screen sharing, with the push of a button. No pfaffing about trying to connect things up or get things going. The bathroom was big, with a shower over large spa bath, great water pressure and good hot water. All the amenities were supplied - shampoo/conditioner, body wash/hand wash, etc. The front of house team were really friendly and tried to do anything to make our visit a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would definitely book again.

Beaches Nelson has a prime location and is close to all amenities and the city center. When we checked in, the Receptionist Janie was super helpful and promptly checked us into the appropriate room. She was very considerate as we were traveling with our elderly mother. The Beaches Nelson rooms are pristine with everything you need for your stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling into Nelson. The staff are accommodating, very friendly, and willing to go the extra mile, should you need any information. Clean room, extremely beautiful layout of the apartment, ample supplies, and fantastic location of the property. The staff are super friendly and provide great housekeeping services too. It is very close to Tahunanui Beach, so anyone can take an easy stroll and enjoy the beautiful beach. There is an onsite laundry facility as well (although we didn't need to use this service). This was our first visit to Nelson and we will surely be booking Beaches Nelson for future stays. Thank you Janie for being the kindest person and a friendly face of this property.

Room was fantastic, clean comfy! had everything that we needed, staff were very friendly, saying "Hello" when they saw us. Location was great, short walk to food etc! Was warned of road noise, but didn't hear a thing, and we were right on the road! Shower pressure was amazing!

Shower pressure (which was amazing) was a bit much for shower over spa bath, as it had a curtain so couldn't have it up to its potential! The place must of just had a paint/spruce up as there was paint on the stairs and tape still up, but glad to see they were spending time and money on it!

Th room was clean and cleaned every day. We asked for a quiet room and it was very quiet, we didn't hear any road noise at all. The hostess was lovely and was available at all times to answer any questions, and she was very helpful. It was a very handy location as we did some biking and walking, even walking to Nelson and back. Plenty of restaurants that are handy. We also did a lot of day tripping in the car and the room was our base. We did pay a little extra to have a separate bedroom from the lounge, which was a good move.

Friendly & helpful managers & cleaner! Unit was spacious with lovely décor. Everything we needed & more was provided, incl bottle of milk in fridge! Clean towels & tidy up of unit each day which was fab! A laundry was available at a small fee for washing & drying. And it isn't a huge block - good size - think 16 units. Our unit was on ground floor which helped - no dragging suitcases up the steps!

Just found our lounge area a bit dark as we were at back of block - but it was quieter as front units face a very busy road.

Great place to stay for returning nelsonians. Clean, comfortable bed and linen changed frequently. Good kitchen facilities.

Jacuzzi bath sides too high to get in and out of for a shower. . especially for older people. Not enough hand rails to grip. A walk in shower is much preferred these days, jacuzzi 's are very 70's !!! To have one unit with a jacuzzi is ok for the honeymooners, but frankly, I never saw many staying while we were there.

Lovely friendly lady at reception. We were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment which was spacious & very comfortable. We were a bit concerned about being near the road but couldn't hear anything once windows were shut. Great sleep. Walking distance to Tahuna Beach plus a really great Thai Restaurant (Thai Tahuna) down the road. Had a lovely relaxing time here.
