Staff very accommodating and helpful and gave us a ground floor as I had a temporary mobility issue. Our unit had everything needed for a one night stay. Lots of eating places nearby, and the map of Nelson was very handy.

Size of room was the smallest by far compared to the other 11 motels we stayed at on our trip, that were of similar or cheaper cost It was the longest of our stays in any one place so had hoped for a bigger space, but that was the only fault we could find. Couldn't fault anything else about this motel.

Our room was downstairs and private and a little bit dark/moody which suited us perfectly. We could open the door and have views of the trees if we wanted to. We were able to park our car directly outside and the motel was in a great location. The kitchen had everything you need and we loved the shower top to stop the room from getting all fogged up. Super friendly and helpful staff and management made the whole 4 day stay a dream.

Nothing not to like!

It was the perfect location for us for what we were up in Nelson for. I had rung beforehand to ask if we could check in early as we had driven up from Christchurch for a funeral that morning and it wasn’t a problem. The lovely owner, Bruce, had made sure our room was clean and ready for our arrival four hours early!! We were very very appreciative of that. The room was fastidiously clean on our arrival! The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows which we were also thankful for. Being right on the main road we were surprised we didn’t hear the traffic at night. Good parking right outside our room too so it was literally three steps from the car to the room.

Brilliant motel. Even had the owner offer to take my bags to my room. Amazing service. Fancy coffee machine in Superior Room, it's the little things that make it enjoyable. Super comfy bed and pillows ... a must when wanting a restful night. Quiet, comfortable, GREAT water pressure in shower. Bliss really. Happily stay again with Stephan and Toni. They are always so welcoming and friendly. Great knowledge of the area also.

Quiet staff clean & tidy good location not far from Nelson airport either driving or walking to airport like I did this morning Owners are very helpful as I did a very late check in & Steve turned light on & door unlock they did up & beyond Awesome thank you ☺️

Location brilliant. Did not order breakfast. Clean, comfortable, ideal for what I was after. Compact but sufficient. Lots of parking. Great greeting by the owner on arrival. Very pleasant and helpful. Knowledge of the local area top notch. Would stay again in a heart beat.

The room was warm, well equipped, comfortable and immaculately cleaned. It was also serviced daily during my stay. Excellent value for money and well located for my needs.

The only small issue I had was that the refrigerator froze items put in it and I couldn't adjust the temperature.

Warm welcome. Clean. All the facilities that we wanted. Relaxing break and easy check in. Safe car park. Just what we were after for an overnight stop. Would like to have had time for a second night.

Fridge exterior got very hot when cupboard door was closed. Not a problem, we just left this door open.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Bella Vista. Even though it's on a main road, you don't hear the traffic. Facilities are great, fabulous water pressure, clean, tidy, comfortable bed and pillows. Just a joy to stay.

Liked everything.

Lovely place, very clean and quiet. Bed was comfy and the shower is amazing! Staff were helpful and kind. It's a little way out of nelson city but has a beautiful walk to the local beach and an amazing and huge op shop 2 doors down. It's a great place to stay.
