Loved the brand new soft carpet in our room! Good A/C unit and the small fridge definitely came in handy. Awesome shower. Continental breakfast was quite good. We especially enjoyed the muesli.

Driveway is incredibly narrow. It was a super tight squeeze for our Toyota Highlander. Guests have to back out, make a 90° turn and then back to the right to drive out. The owners offered to back our vehicle out, but I didn’t feel comfortable with that. As we were leaving, John made a snarky comment about me not knowing what side the steering wheel was on (we are from the U.S.). Totally unnecessary.

We enjoyed our stay. The room is in a quiet residential neighborhood. The house was designed with the intention to have a separate room and bathroom for renting to guests. There is one designated parking area for guests. The room is nicely decorated and I really liked the bathroom. The there was a shower head, a handheld shower handle and a faucet which is really nice. The towel heater is great to have warm towels to dry off with. There is a nightlight in the bathroom which is great for using the bathroom in the middle of the night. The breakfast was toast with a choice of three jelly/marmalade, peanut butter, or Vegemite. There was yogurt, honey, freash fruit, slices of cheese, and salami. There was also museli and corn flakes. Coffee, tea, milk, and orange juice were available. A load of laundry could be done for $15. I had a really nice conversation with our hosts. It's great to get to talk to the people living in New Zealand.

There is an outdoor patio area with table and 2 chairs where you can sit and eat breakfast outside which is very nice. The hosts also said we can bring the table into the room to eat inside. The room has 2 chairs but not table. Unfortunately, the first night of our stay it rained so the table was very wet and we did not want to bring it inside. My husband ended up eating by sitting in the floor. This was the only negative part of our stay.

The hosts, Ineke and John, were incredibly hospitable and friendly. The room was well equipped, the shower room was modern and a range of good quality toiletries were provided. The breakfasts were exceptional with a variety of foods, the fresh fruit being appreciated. What I really liked was the personal touch - the beautiful cushions and place mats, the quirky table on which to out the luggage, a few magazines to look through. A lot of thought has gone into this room to make it so special.

Amazing B&B in Nelson. Top quality room in a lovely property in a quiet location away from the town centre. It was lovely to sit on the patio and take in the view and the birdsong. Ineke and John were great hosts and very keen to help with suggestions of places to visit in the area. A wonderful fresh and healthy breakfast was provided each morning. Would highly recommend Grampians as a great place to stay.

The breakfast tray was a pleasant surprise it was enough for both of us to see us through to dinner. John and ineke were the perfect hosts very friendly and informative of the area etc. Spacious clean room with outside patio area where you can see views across and the birds drinking the sugar water John puts out everyday. Snow the cat even came to hello and sat quite content on the patio with us.

The breakfast was great. I especially liked the homemade muesli - delicious! Lovely welcoming hosts. Very clean room and great service. The car park was so close to the door and very accessible to the room. We loved our stay and even had a visit from a very cute black cat. Thank you John & Ineke for our stay!

This was a great find, the hosts really have thought of everything which made our stay very comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and the accomodation exceptionally clean! The view from the patio doors was lovely and outside seating was available, unfortunately we weren't able to use because of the weather. The breakfast was delicious and the home-made options were a beautiful touch. It is about a 30 minute walk to the centre, which we were more than happy to do, but parking is available for those who would prefer to drive. If we ever return to Nelson we would definitely stay again. Thankyou.

The hosts are amazing people. Our names were written on the board, making us feel very welcomed. Great breakfast tray, very nice selection. Wonderful view, spacious room, comfortable bed, quiet area and nice bathroom. Would recommend it to anyone and definitely would stay here again.

Owner of this property is very nice. Contact with her was without any problem. Room is with separate bathroom, very modern look, and with nice details. Comfy bed. Kind of homey vibe & very nice place to stay in Nelson.

Lack of even small table to sit and eat, I mean, there was one table outside (but weather was no good, I bet it is very nice eat there and ejoy the view without rain;), so maybe they should consider adding small, even foldable, table somewhere inside.

The Grampians is a wonderful place to stay. Hosts Ineke & John have provided a very comfortable, private setup that is just outstanding. The breakfast is delightful and all guests’ needs are attended too.
