Great apartment - had everything we needed. Right across the road from the beach, lots of other attractions and activities close by (Go-carts, Wildlife Park, Car Museum, Wharf, cafes, restaurants). Main Street, supermarkets and town centre only a quick drive away. Even without a beach view apartment, the view was west towards the mountains and we could still see the sea and enjoyed some surprise fireworks on the balcony that were set off from the oval across the street. Secure off street parking and access to the apartment was convenient and felt really safe. Was a great home base to put our feet up and relax in when we weren't out exploring Nelson.

The view looking out to the water, on-site parking, shops/restaurants on the ground floor. Great sized apartment with wardrobes. Well equipped kitchen with utensils. Bed was really comfortable. Great having an outdoor area that was accessible.by a big ranchslider.

The Aprtment could have been cleaner. You could see where under the fridge, TV cabinet, and behind the couch. There was a kind of musty smell in the bathroom and you could see that the ventilation system vent in the bathroom needed a good clean (build up of dust). The air conditioner remote batteries were going flat - so the remote would only work sometimes.

Second stay. Standards maintained and apartment well-equipped and laid out. Plenty of room to spend time relaxing in the lounge area. Bedrooms a good size, beds comfortable. Apartment clean and in an ideal location. Although on a main road, traffic noise was not an issue. Resident manager polite, helpful and a reassuring presence. Two bus routes serve the area. Great location for both walking and running. Second bathroom and laundry facilities greatly appreciated.

Not a problem, but apartment only had showers (with amazing water pressure!) No bath.

Great location and stunning view. Right across from beach, and above excellent coffee shop with extraordinary breakfast buns. Neville was very personable. Apartment had lots of space. Nice kitchen facilities, great shower (except leaky door).

Bedrooms are at back of the apartment and are dark and windowless, and no option for air in back twin bedroom as window goes onto inside carpark. Bathroom was clean and good shower pressure - but needs shelving and more hooks. Could easily pop a corner shelf on the floor by the basin or suspend shelving. Would be helpful to top up milk and coffee for 2-or more night stay (I could have asked but didn't.)

Very spacious apartment, great position, lovely views of mountains. Kitchen was fairly new and nice. Overall a nice setup. Beds were soft but surprisingly super comfortable which was brilliant. Gated parking was a nice bonus.

Carpet was dirty. Could do with a professional clean or replacement as lots of stains and ingrained dirt. Curtains were also quite dirty on the lining. Property was nice just a little tired in places. Missing glassware, only 1 wine glass, 3 tumblers and 3 champagne glasses. Wasn't a massive issue but would be good to restock.

Fantastic view of the beach and coast. Straight across the road for beach access. Coffee and nice French style patisserie at street level. Several restaurants and bars within easy walking distance (6mins max) Very handy having washing machine & drier in the apartment.

Not a dislike exactly, apartments front onto the main road. It was noisy during the day, and particularly peak times. However the noise did not bother us and was completely eliminated if we closed the balcony doors. Traffic was extremely light from 7pm on. It certainly didn’t disturb our sleep. The apartment had a stale water smell, unsure if it was from appliance lack of use (dishwasher & washing machine doors closed) or perhaps an appliance or kitchen leak.

Very easy check in. Location is excellent, directly across from the beach. Apartment was large, well laid out and extremely comfortable. Furniture and fixtures were well maintained and a high quality. Close to regular bus routes into town. Restaurant directly beneath building is excellent. Fantastic view, enhanced by being able to open bi-fold doors wide. Great to have washing and drying facilities in the apartment. Master bedroom also had a walk-in wardrobe/dressing area! Manager very helpful and welcoming.

Very minor, but light carpets showing signs of age!

Loved the fact that surprisingly you could park right at the door to your room, the views were amazing and overall it was a really nice place to spend a few days to relax

Thought we had booked a room at front with Seaview, but got a side room which was ok - if you want a Seaview room check availability before booking so that you are not disappointed. In the end it didn’t really matter to us and we were happy with what we got

This spot is fantastic. Everything that we needed. The beach is across the road, so we went for swims, just a lovely spot. Room 309 was the best!!!!! It's a 3 bedroom with 3 toilets which was perfect! There is a bar downstairs which, has lovely locals - but please note this place closes by 8pm. The bar is just so lovely and friendly!

We stayed for 3 nights and it might be good if the rooms are serviced with extra supplies like toilet paper, because these were not during our stay. Fish and chip shop (which was ok - everyone was raving about it, but we weren't too impressed and the guy in the shop is so grumpy). This closed at 7pm and if you place an order after 6pm....don't expect him to be all cheerful!

The Sands was in a convienet location with fabulous views and some cafes, restaurants nearby. Unit itself was very comfortable with a great balcony overlooking the beach. Would stay here aagain.

Need a mat on carpet when go onto balcony. In the morning balcony floor was wet and then when inside felt needed to wipe feet.
