Beautiful ground floor location overlooking marina with many large boats. Rolling hills in the background and morning sun into two of the bedrooms and lounge room. Grassed backyard with outdoor seating and bbq and side gate access to property pool and giant heated jacuzzi, open til 9pm.

Communication leading up to stay was very difficult and unresponsive. Even booking.com staff couldn't make contact - as a result, I nearly cancelled the booking. After arriving it turned out reception staff were new (2nd day on the job) and temporary, and the place was in transition to new management - likely explaining the poor communication.

The property was immaculately kept & felt luxurious & comfortable. Morning coffee outside on the deck felt a world away from everything else & the relaxing, beautiful views were exactly as we expected. We felt like we were living the dream while we were enjoying our stay, will definitely be booking here again.

The guide on the table referred to instructions in the laundry, however there was none. It also referred to a fan that needed to be switched on, but there was no clarity on where it was or how to use it.

We thought the apartment was fantastic, super clean and well presented with lovely amenities. It is an easy flat walk into the town centre with great facilities and places to eat. We loved the lock up garage as well as the security into the complex.

The building manager was reasonably helpful but made a few comments that tainted the overall experience - for example we arrived 10 mins before recommended check-in and he said - You are early! We said we can walk around the block if that helped! On departure date we left early at 8:30am and there was a phone number to call which we tried three times, left a message and put the apartment keys under the matt at the front door of reception. He rang us back - 45 mins later and said there was note at the apartment on where to leave the keys which we did not see despite looking several times. There was no thank-you for staying, I hope you enjoyed it etc. A real opportunity lost to encourage you to come back, unfortunately.

The location was convenient and the views were spectacular

We were unfortunately an hour late for checkout, which we understand is not ideal. However, the staff member was extremely rude in handling the situation. Instead of allowing us a few minutes to finish packing and cleaning up, she was verbally aggressive and kicked us out of the room while we were still gathering our things. A more professional and respectful approach would have been appreciated.

We recently stayed here as a family of five and had an absolutely wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the warm hospitality extended throughout the town as well. The stunning views made each day feel even more special, and the accommodation was well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our trip so memorable. we truly appreciated it!

The apartment was very spacious and immaculate. The views of the Marina were fabulous and this accommodation exceeded my expectations.

I did not receive a reply to my emails. I had a few questions about our stay and I emailed them. I didn't receive a response. We left home late and I emailed as courtesy to let them know that we will be arriving late. Again I did not receive a response. When we arrived to Sovereign in the evening, reception was closed, it was dark and it is a gated community. I did not receive instructions as to where I needed to collect the keys. I started calling them and then my daughter saw an envelope sticking out of the door.

The apartment is very spacious in a nice location with a pool and a gym. The city and beautiful places for trips within driving distance.

If you come for a few days, you should organize in advance even with toilet paper because the place only provides these things for two days or so. The place is beautiful but it is not a site on the beach but in a marina. The beach itself is within driving distance and in general - all the nice things are within a short drive and not a walk. We stayed in the apartment mainly in the evening and at night and the wifi most of the time - didn't work.

Great outlook over the waterway & boats. Very quiet and peaceful & lovely comfortable beds. Also bonus being able to use the gym. Manager's were also very friendly and helpful.

We had a downstairs unit, so the only downside was that it was a bit dark and the downlights were not very bright. Not a major issue, and we would still highly recommend this accommodation.

Lovely spacious apartment just outside the main streets of Whitianga. Surprisingly we had two parking spaces. A garage and an uncovered space. We enjoyed the swimming pool and tennis courts. If we had stayed longer we would have used the kayaks too. The lady in reception was very helpful in settling us in and informing us on what to do in the area. If she hadn’t done this I don’t think we would have seen the wonderful beaches north of Whitianga, which are outstanding. So thank you.

A very comfortable apartment on the first floor with an excellent balcony for outside dining with a barbecue as well. Lovely views over the marina. Good facilities, excellent for self catering purposes with a very good kitchen. Washing machine and tumble dryer as well.

As with previous reviews, with there only being 2 of us, the additional bedroom and the main bathroom were closed off. No problem with the former but the ensuite bathroom is quite small and doesn't have a bath. You can have them opened but at extra cost.
