Both private and public spaces of the hotel are extremely clean. I could find no bug at all within my stay of a week. The staffs are very kind and friendly. Given the price, this hospitality and cleanness were far above my expectation.

The room is very very small. No desk or table. Most of my dissatisfaction comes from the location. The location is not convenient if you want to travel to other locations of Manila. You have to walk for 30 minutes to get to public transportation. You can take a ride but the traffic near the location is quite heavy and drivers often refused to pick me up. The safety of the location is questionable especially for foreigners. As there are many foreigners around, there are crimes targetted at them. I was robbed my glasses and had to pay 40 pesos to get it back from a criminal. Though my loss was tiny, it was scary.

Hotel is very central to nightlife and restaurants. We arrived around 930am and were given a courtesy early check in at 11am as the room was available. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed. The hangers provided were such a big help as we had clothes that had not been fully dry due to the humidity on the southern islands where we were before arriving to Manila. Every staff member that we interacted with was so kind.

-No elevator but staff will assist with luggage at check in -The water in the shower drained slowly but we only stayed for 2 nights so this didn’t really affect us. -The WiFi was ok for the most part but was very spotty from the second floor. There was a different wifi password for each floor bc we were given a separate password for the lobby and another for the second floor. They should invest in a better internet plan with a larger bandwidth. Would not recommend for remote workers. -The tv is useless without your own streaming account. A ready to use Netflix account would be a great touch

You couldn’t fault this place! The room and bathroom was immaculate and the staff were more than friendly. They made our stay so comfortable and welcoming.

Third night at Gomez House - Upgraded An upgrade was available from a standard double room to a studio for only a couple of pounds, so I took it. The standard rooms are pretty good but I’d highly recommend trying to book a studio if available. My particular room on the 4th floor has two windows overlooking nice everyday life of Makati. Totally different to what I’m used to in England. Very nice

Because of the way the building is built, some rooms don’t have great ventilation like my previous room, so it can get quite smelly. The staff were kind enough to leave a disinfectant air spray with me which resolved the issue. Perhaps the spray should come standardised with the room for future customers

Second night at Gomez House - great. Another good experience at the property which came with a few little challenges but again the staff resolved it very well. Chris is an amazing guy. Very helpful and busy all the type working tirelessly. Despite working so diligently, he always has a smile. The owners of the business should be proud of employing people like him. The reception staff are also wonderful.

Despite it being a budget hotel I think management can afford to employ one more cleaning staff to increase the attractiveness of Gomez House. I’ve hyped on about how brilliant Chris is but I think he’s the only cleaner in the entire building so his work load is too much, and waiting to have my room cleaned took a very long time after my initial request. Still a 10/10 hotel in terms of value but the above is just my suggestion as a previous manager myself.

First night at Gomez House - absolutely perfect. I’m trying my best to think of any negative points regarding this property but honestly, I can’t state any.. The building is super clean, great quiet location despite being close to the busy area, good value for money, and a very professional team of working staff who are smiling 24/7 whenever you meet them day or night. Very helpful too. The room has everything I need. Clean toilet and shower, safety deposit box, and the AC is brilliant. The bed is very comfortable so I slept like a log. Feels safe too because visitors are required to provide ID so nobody can visit illegally. I’m so glad I’ve booked all 5 nights here. Highly recommended residence. I will 100% return here in future if I visit Makati

It was a really good stay: nice, clean room ehich Had Netflix and a load of options on the TV which was cool. Beds were grand, it's in a nice area too and easy accessible to most places you'd want to go to.

WiFi was really bad, and had multiple different passwords which was just confusing. What worked for me, didn't for my boyfriend despite being the same one and connection was really poor. Room was pretty small, loud outside a lot

Final night at Gomez House - wonderful. Another opportunity to give these guys a high rating of 10/10. Location is great because it’s walking distance from the main attractions, yet not too close so it’s relatively quiet at night. The building is always super clean, and my studio room was spacious with all my requirements handled. Any minor issues that I had were dealt with immediately and with great professionalism by an unbelievably pleasant staff team. I’d recommend this property wholeheartedly and I hope to return here on my next visit to Makati.

It was so clean, something i didnt expect for an affordable hotel in the heart of the city.

Just had trouble carrying my luggage downstairs cause theres no elevator. They have staff to help me but since i had to check out early for an early flight, i brought my luggage down myself . The hot shower is bit cooler to want I wanted. Checking in was smooth I had help.

Fourth night at Gomez House - fabulous. The new studio room I’ve upgraded to is perfect. No issues at all. The point I’d like to emphasise (and I’m sure all other guests will agree), is that the staff are wonderful. They seem go above and beyond their levels of duty and expectations. Men or women staff, they’re always smiling and making you feel welcome. I thought I’d once more stress this point on the review. It’s a budget hotel in terms of the fee one pays but it doesn’t have a budget staff, they’re a 5-star team..
