I recently stayed at Dom Schumanów, located right in the heart of the old town of Gdańsk, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to explore the city, as everything is within walking distance. From the moment we arrived, Viktoria, the receptionist, was incredibly helpful and kind. She made us feel very welcome and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. The staff overall were exceptional, always available and friendly. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean. Our room was arranged beautifully, with an antique look that added a warm and cozy feel to the space. It really made us feel like we were staying in a piece of history, while still having all the modern comforts. We highly recommend Dom Schumanów to anyone visiting Gdańsk. It’s a place that truly makes you feel at home.

Location of the apartment is very central. Our apartment was spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast in a cafe next door. We could leave our luggage at the property before check in and after check out.

Location of the apartment is not only blessing, but a curse as well: it is very noisy even with all window closed, street musicians playing with loud speakers until midnight. I will hate guitar music for the next couple of years:).

The hotel is located directly on the main square of the Old Town, it is very beautiful and convenient for walking around the city. The hotel is located in an ancient building, the furnishings in the room are designed in this style. A very romantic place. Breakfast in a nearby cafe, delicious, varied and plentiful

Due to the fact that the room's windows overlook the central square of the city, the noise from people walking is almost around the clock. This is logical, and we have no complaints, you just need to take this factor into account and stock up on earplugs

We truly enjoyed very friendly staff of the Dom Shumannów. It is in a perfect location right in the center of the Gdańsk old town. Our room had a beautiful view of the Długi Targ. We liked the entire experience of the historical house.

Since the house is an historic landmark, there are limitations on the contemporary comforts. This is not a luxury hotel, but for us the historical character of the place was charming.

The breakfast was amazing, and it was RIGHT in the middle of the city centre! The room was very spacious, and the furnituring was beautiful as well.

Personally we didn't mind, but it can get very noisy into the night, it quiets down around 1-2 am, sometimes later, since people outside are drinking and dancing and playing music and having fun. So just a heads up to anyone that isn't a heavy sleeper.

Great affordable accommodation in the heart of the Old city. Very convenient if you want to shop and walk in the historical city centre. I had to leave early in the morning, went out and felt like traveled to the past as the old city was empty, atmospheric and very real. It is a great buzz though in the evenings as well.

There is no lift, which is a disadvantage of all old historical buildings, so bare that in mind if you have heavy suitcases or difficulty climbing up the stairs.

like the location-age of the property- lovely generous breakfast at the cafe as you step left out of the hotel. Not possible to get a taxi to the hotel-as surrounding town access streets are dug up. So a bit of a walk re mobility issues-41 steep steps at property

the young reception staff- were very ignorant-lacking any hospitality skills. Gave hardly any facial contact-eye contact. A dumpy lad barked at me when i closed the door as asked the previous afternoon early eve. As a gay man-myself he gave gay guys a bad name with his prissy queeny behaviour

The hotel has an unbeatable location-right in the center in a historical building. Our room was on the last floor and was a bit long and narrow with two separate beds but not next to each other. We had to take quite steep stairs to reach our room (no lift)which was not a problem but it might be quite difficult for some people with mobility issues. Kettle, cups and instant coffee is provided in the room. The staff was friendly and kept our luggage after checkout. To sum up, it was pretty basic but not bad for a couple of days. And again you cannot find better location!

There is no fridge in the room, no common space, internet was not working in the room; no breakfast

The breakfast in the cafe next door was great and the staff friendly. The location was perfect for sightseeing and the railway station. The fact that the hotel is also a tourist nformation centre was an added bonus.

It was great. There was a problem with one of the shower doors, but it will be fixed by now.

The location is perfect - it's in the old town and only ~15 min walk away from the railway station. The building looks very beautiful from the outside, the staff is friendly, all the facilities (shower, hot water, kettle, heaters) worked well. Shower gel, soap, shampoo, some tea are provided. We stayed one night only and the room is good for such a short stay.

I do not see any specific improvement areas, but there are a few facts for the visitors: 1) we used a room with twin beds - it's rather tiny, located on the 3rd floor what is the last floor of the building: you'll have to climb by stairs to the 5th level of a building. Mind it if you have large luggage. 2) the room is facing back = no nice view, no view at all, only some roofs. 3) the clock of the Town Hall rings every hour and you hear it rather well)). Fortunately 12am - 7am are quiet hours. 4) beds are too soft for my taste, but ok for a short stay.
