Smallish, characterful hotel, perfect location half-way between castle and main square (10 mins walk in either direction). Quiet location. Super-friendly, cheerful, helpful staff. All spoke fluent English - thank you Aleksandra and all your colleagues. Rooms spacious. Comfy beds. Brilliant buffet breakfast. Also, didn’t know it when we got hotel to book in advance for Auschwitz/Birkenau & Salt Mine trip, the hotel is the pick-up/drop-off point – very convenient (and they’ll provide packed lunch if an early start).

Very close to the Castle and Main Square, max 10 mins walk. Approx 25 min walk to the main station. Our room and bathroom were very spacious. Could occasionally hear the water from the neighbouroling bedroom but not enough to ruin our stay. Room was nice and warm. Good selection for breakfast, cheese, meats, fruit, yogurts, breads and local delicacies. Martin the hotel manager was exceptional - very friendly with a lot of helpful local information. The area seemed very safe. Would definitely stay in this traditional hotel on our next visit.

The hotel's location is ideal—very close to the old town and everything is within walking distance. The room was nice and comfortable, and the bathroom as well. We had an issue with the shower, but it was resolved the same day we reported it. The breakfast was nothing special, just the basics. Because of the location, I would choose it again if I visit Kraków.

At times, a faint odor was noticeable in the room, possibly related to the plumbing system

Perfectly located, a small boutique hotel situated very close to Wawel and the Main Market Square, right on the edge of Planty (the green belt surrounding the Old Town). Stylish well equipped rooms, comfortable bathroom. A baby cot provided on request. A complimentary bottle of water waiting for us in the room. Delicious buffet breakfast with many options, and a coffee machine ready to use. The hotel went an extra mile for us, as the ground floor room that we had been told wouldn’t be available for us, was offered to us after all (as the other guests who had been occupying it checked out early).

The communication with hiccups. I had to ask several times about the availability of the baby cot. Also, it took time for the hotel to confirm negatively about the room on the ground floor that I had requested. When we arrived at 14:00 the room had not been prepared for us, so we had to wait (the staff made it bearable as they offered us coffee and water for the wait).

Location could had not been better! Hotel is a short walk away from the old city, just around the corner from the Wawel Castle. Our room was roomy and airy with large bathroom with a window. After a whole day walking around the city or going to tours it was so nice to return to quiet and cool room to rest. Breakfast good, they had all we needed. Staff were super friendly and nice. If we would absolutely stay again at Hotel Maltanski.

No complaints!

My single room (#11) was very small, however the bathroom was large and lovely. The windows were high so that i could not see the ground below, however there was a beautiful tree outside that i was able see. Very good location, walking distance to everything of interest, quiet. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was the same everyday--a good selection of breads, yogurt, juice, fruit, cereal, eggs, meat, cheese, tomatoes/vegetables, plus lots of choices of coffee and tea.

The only thing that i didn't like was that the room was smaller than i expected.

Lovely little old palace by the park. Could do with some updating but if you like to be surrounded by Krakow historically it is perfect. Staff lovely and friendly. Big bedroom and bathroom. Plumbing all working fine. There is no restaurant in the hotel but the lovely Biala Roza is just across the carpark. Just 5 minutes across the park to the old town and castle.

Only minus was the internal phone system was not working so I could not get early morning wake up calls but the receptionist banged on my door on time instead! No convenience store closeby.

The staff really do go out of their way to help with any requests you might have. Our room, No. 17, was on the first floor. Good size, black-out windows; very large and comfortable bed; TV; kettle with coffee and tea; extra pillow; good breakfast - even for vegetarians. Soya milk was provided on request but not as standard.

Walls are quite thin and we could hear other people's conversations and the bath and sink taps running. We didn't notice there was a kettle in the cupboard with free tea and coffee until the second day - maybe this could be more clearly pointed out; also green tea as an option could be added to the tea bags.

Superb location approx 5 minutes from Wawel castle, large room, lovely shower and comfy bed, coffee to go was very useful, nice sitting out area outside our room, extra pillows were in our room as requested, typical Polish hotel next to the park and Martin the manager was so helpful, couldnt have done more for us...

Thought maybe some sweetie type buns at breakfast would have been nice. Taxi from airport was approx £25, the return journey was approx £8 as we used Bolt...

Location was perfect, small hotel of just 19 rooms. Breakfast was brilliant for visiting old town. Great trips out to key locations you wanted to visit and everything was reasonably priced
