Room 103 needs to repaint the bedroom walls. The internal security chain door is useless because it's installed the wrong way and can be easily opened from the outside LOL. The TV mounted on the wall was on the left most, side of the bed. If you're unlucky you'll have stiff neck in the morning when you wake up.

The best things are the position, right in the centre of the city but surprisingly silent and peaceful. And the other top feature is the dimension of the rooms, spacious at levels you rarely find in hotels costing less than 200€ per night. It’s clean, especially the bathrooms, the staff are all friendly and smiling people and the breakfast, included, is really good especially if you prefer sweets. Price/quality ratio is excellent.

Everything was really good

This charming, quaint hotel is a real gem set in an old historical building which oozes character and charm.It has a homely,welcoming and cozy feel. The room was quiet,spacious and beautifully furnished in traditional style. The staff are helpful,obliging and welcoming.I had to return to the UK two days earlier than planned and although I had paid in full (nonrefundable) the hotel readily issued me with a credit voucher to use withing the next twelve months.Location is great with good transport links.I have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel,without any reservations whatsoever.

There is nothing to dislike about this hotel.

This beautiful hotel is full of character and decorated exquisitely—I couldn't stop taking photos. The room was impeccable and cleaned every day. The air conditioning was wonderful, keeping the room comfortable throughout my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was varied and delicious. I absolutely loved the neighborhood. The hotel is close to everything but just far enough away from the more touristy areas, offering a peaceful retreat. I would definitely return to this place. It's truly a beauty!

Everything was perfect.

Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Not a lot of facilities in the hotel. It was located perfectly for metro. Nice quiet area within walking distance to Biarra Alto. Perfect place to stay when sight seeing. Not so good if you just want to hang around the hotel. Rooms made up everyday.

Breakfast could have had a bit more variety. WiFi was poor. Tea, coffee in the room wasn't replaced when room was cleaned.

Staff at the hotel are very hard working and caring. Check in was easy, the room was superbly clean. Beds were comfortable and shower was hot. Breakfast was wonderful, hot eggs, bacon, pastries, excellent coffee! Loved it. Location was great, easy enough walk to restaurants in many of the districts, or cheap ubers in Lisbon as well. Recommended to stay, an Aldi very close by for anything you need for snacks drinks etc.

great location near metro and tram, the staff is very friendly, nice breakfast.

the room was nice, however we got the one facing the main street (room #103) and it was quite noisy to sleep. Windows and wooden window shutters didn't provide much of soundproofing. If possible, ask for a room not facing Rua da Escola Politécnica. The wooden bed in the room was not comfortable, was making a lot of sounds every time you turn in your sleep.

Everything! The kindness of all staff was superb, the hotel was the best so far in my life based on value-price. It's not a luxury hotel, plain and simple, but based on the equipments and the kindness and comfortability it feels like a 4-5 stars hotel. Breakfast was also in big variety, tasty, fresh pastries and fit for the need.

2 things for me to improve: electricity plugins and maybe the coffee quality.

It was our first visit to Lisbon so I wasn't familiar with the area. As it happens, this hotel is in a great area, fortunately it isn't right in the center, and it's lovely to walk or take a tram, bus or metro all of which are easy to find and use. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Our room was very spacious, with a large bathroom, AC which you can control yourself, and a comfy bed. The breakfast was one of the best we've had. Large choice, delicious fruit salad, eggs, choice of cheeses, hams, salami, fresh fruit tart daily, nice coffee. The staff in the very pleasant dining room keep it clean, well stocked, and are there to assist if needed. I had my birthday there and a bottle of lovely red wine was left in my room. This was a very kind thought as was the card with the very lovely words on it. We would definitely come back and recommend.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the Metro and great restaurants and bars. I was upgraded to a suite, which was very nice. The decor in the room is a tasteful blend of traditional and modern. The room was very clean and the housekeeping was very good.

There were a few things that needed attention in the room, like peeling wallpaper in a few places. The hot water took a long time to come out of the tap and wasn’t very hot, but warm enough for a comfortable shower. It’s an old building, so these things are not unexpected. A topper on the mattresses would improve comfort of the bed.
