Room 103 needs to repaint the bedroom walls. The internal security chain door is useless because it's installed the wrong way and can be easily opened from the outside LOL. The TV mounted on the wall was on the left most, side of the bed. If you're unlucky you'll have stiff neck in the morning when you wake up.

Hotel is a beautiful, well maintained traditional building with original features. The rooms are comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities provided, also they provide a bottle of water and a fridge. Air conditioning is very quiet. We loved the room. We had one on the back, which made it quieter as the road on the front was busy. Breakfast has plenty of choice. You can fill up to keep you going for the day. The hotel is just a few hundred yards from the metro, which is cheap and easy to use. A great hotel with bars and restaurants close by.

Location is a bit far out of the main area, it's quite a walk down. So if you struggle walking you would need to use the metro or other public transport to get about.

The reception staff is great. Friendly, courteous, polite and willing to help. They made sure to help me with everything: information, room services, amenities. And always with a smile on the face. The location is great. The hotel decoration is unique, the breakfast room is an experience itself. The room was very good, clean, spacious, beautiful and with a comfy bed. They changed and cleaned the room daily, with several new towels every day (not just one or two).

Maybe more options of bread in the breakfast (considering Portuguese have the beat bread and bakeries). But nothing to complain. Wonderful hotel!

Although it doesn’t look so good from the outside, don’t be put off by that. We were 100% satisfied with our stay, and can certainly recommend the hotel. Exceptionally clean rooms and very friendly staff. The breakfast varies every day, with a variety of food offered. Bus and trams run past the property, a bus stop is only a short walk, the metro is about 10 minutes away. A tip for first time visits, buy a daily, (or 3 day) ticket which gives unlimited 24hours travel on buses and yellow trams, ( not the special tourist ones). Unfortunately this ticket cannot be bought online, but is available at every metro station, the machines offer various language options and are easy to use

The only minus point I would make is the amount of plastic waste after breakfast. The butter is in small, one slice bread, portions, similarly the jams are also in single portions, other hotels in Europe manage to put small bowls of butter and/or jam out, there’s no waste there. Buying single portions must also be more expensive than buying in bulk, and spooning it into a larger bowl where the guests can help themselves…..

The best things are the position, right in the centre of the city but surprisingly silent and peaceful. And the other top feature is the dimension of the rooms, spacious at levels you rarely find in hotels costing less than 200€ per night. It’s clean, especially the bathrooms, the staff are all friendly and smiling people and the breakfast, included, is really good especially if you prefer sweets. Price/quality ratio is excellent.

Everything was really good

This charming, quaint hotel is a real gem set in an old historical building which oozes character and charm.It has a homely,welcoming and cozy feel. The room was quiet,spacious and beautifully furnished in traditional style. The staff are helpful,obliging and welcoming.I had to return to the UK two days earlier than planned and although I had paid in full (nonrefundable) the hotel readily issued me with a credit voucher to use withing the next twelve months.Location is great with good transport links.I have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel,without any reservations whatsoever.

This beautiful hotel is full of character and decorated exquisitely—I couldn't stop taking photos. The room was impeccable and cleaned every day. The air conditioning was wonderful, keeping the room comfortable throughout my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was varied and delicious. I absolutely loved the neighborhood. The hotel is close to everything but just far enough away from the more touristy areas, offering a peaceful retreat. I would definitely return to this place. It's truly a beauty!

Everything was perfect.

Amazing location close enough for all the shops and close by restaurants. Easy to get buses and the metro from nearby Rato. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was amazing value too and being open until 10.30 am meant you could have a lie in without missing out.

Not alot to dislike. Perhaps the only downside were some inconsiderate guests who on the first night were having a loud conversation in the common area just outside our room.

Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Not a lot of facilities in the hotel. It was located perfectly for metro. Nice quiet area within walking distance to Biarra Alto. Perfect place to stay when sight seeing. Not so good if you just want to hang around the hotel. Rooms made up everyday.

Breakfast could have had a bit more variety. WiFi was poor. Tea, coffee in the room wasn't replaced when room was cleaned.
