Absolutely everything. The room "Premium Double with Terrace" (Rm 302) was a dream. Large room, comfortable bed, great bathroom with separate shower & bath & double sinks. Welcomed to the room with two (2) Pastel de Nata's & a small bottle of port. Large balcony which looked down the street to the river & "Christ the Redeemer" in the distance. Plenty of room to sit in the sun & enjoy the port & other food/beverages. Area was quiet but only 20m up the hill to lots of restaurants. Also located close by was the Botanical Gardens, a local park & the old water reservoir where we saw a terrific Fado performance one night. Breakfast was designed & made in front of us by the chef each day. Food was fantastic & applicable for my Vegan partner. Elevator on premises made access to upper floors easy. Employees were so friendly & helpful (Daniella & Diane were a standout) & they helped with sightseeing activities, Fado night, Tagus Sunset cruise, taxi's, day trip arrangements, etc. When the staff were not around communication was via Whatsapp. Responses were quite quick. We have stayed in many places around the world & this has to be one of the best. (I haven't checked but I do not think I have ever given a 10 before for any accommodation)

I usually always find something to write in this section, however, this time it is incredibly difficult. We did notice that two (2) power points in the main room were not working. They acknowledged the issue & arranged for maintenance to be sent up.

We loved the elegant architectural design of the hotel and the fantastic gourmet breakfast served by the lovely chef Luis. Our room was comfy and spacious, fabulous bed, and the bathroom was excellent, with beautiful toiletries. One of the really great things about the hotel is the staff, particularly Daniela and Diogo, who went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect for us, with recommendations and tips, and they attended to all our needs so generously. And a big plus is having no piped muzak in the hotel generally and at breakfast.. It makes it extra calm and relaxing. Bravo!

The digital arrangements for breakfast were a bit torturous, and could be made easier - we had to remember to fill in an online form every day, which didn't feel like a holiday! Also it would be helpful to know what time we had booked as we didn't get confirmation. But that was all.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was amazing, from the design of the hotel, immaculate cleanliness of the rooms to the exceptional service provided by the Staff. The facilities were outstanding, and every detail was taken care of to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The live cooking, healthy breakfasts were delicious and gave us the perfect starts of days spent on exploring the beauty of Lisbon. On our last evening we got he bottle of Porto and handwritten thank you note from the hotel, which was a very nice gesture. There was no problem with leaving the luggage in the hotel before check-in hour and we could stay in the room longer, what gave us the opportunity to take a shower before a flight, what we really appreciate. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect stay. Thank you for make our visit so memorable! <3

The hotel is beautiful in a great location, a stunning and quiet neighborhood that is not very central, but also not too far from the center and the tourist attractions. Public transportation is nearby and accessible. The room in the hotel was charming, clean, and comfortable. The interior design is beautiful, and the breakfast is delicious and indulgent. The staff was pleasant and approachable. The hotel is small, calm, and quiet. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

The bed was too small for us and the lights near the beds was too low for reading

The Design aesthetic was incredible - very beautifully set up- tasteful and in keeping with the charm of the character of the building. I had only one breakfast- it was a delight. Louiz the chef did such a beautiful bkfast spread for me- Diogo was a charming host.

The fact that there is no provision for separate quilts for 2 people sharing a bed- ideally some facility to accommodate twin beds would be good- and if that isn’t possible, they should at least provide separate duvets…

Perfect boutique hotel. We loved everything in our state: well built facilities (quality of materials used is very good), large and beautiful room, delicious breakfast, superb staff that truly cared about your experience (e.g. Adriano gave us priceless tips on cities to visit in our way to Porto). Location is amazing, we loved the neighborhood and the fact that we could go to very good restaurants and bars at walking distance is a great plus. We also liked the quietness of the place.

The hotel is in a great location, everything looks newly remodeled and is spotless. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE! Everything was made to order and served by lovely chefs/waiters. When we needed help with a taxi, they were very helpful.

The room was small and without a closet or mirror, while the bathroom was large but had a very small sink and mirror. It had 2 shower heads and a bathtub, but drainage was a problem and we saw lots of water collecting on the floor.

I loved everything about the hotel but in particular the staff.

Unfortunately my husband knocked the lamp off the bedside table and the shade broke. We were perfectly willing to pay a reasonable price to pay for the damage but were sent an invoice for 441 euros. Needless to say I was in shock and did respond as felt this was excessive so suffered the loss of 150 euros security deposit. So beware if you are clumsy.

This hotel was amazing! Delicious breakfast cooked for you. Rooms were so lovely and spacious. The staff were amazing, very warm and just so helpful. Highly recommend and am very eager to come back again!

Would be nice if there was a 24 hour concierge for any issues as became difficult to contact anyone past 4pm.

This small, beautifully designed hotel is designed in minimalistic Scandi-style. It’s unique concept is focused on providing guests with a friendly, calm place which also cares for the environment…..we were converted to the soap shampoo bars! Bedroom and bathroom were luxurious and very comfortable; air con was very efficient. Breakfast is pre-ordered the night before from a wide choice and cooked by Wagner, the amazing chef, watched by guests. We enjoyed this experience and the lovely staff shared many tips on places to visit and restaurants to try (Tascardoso being a real find as we loved the simple but wonderfully cooked traditional food). Montecarmo12 is different. Engaging with the staff and other guests over a leisurely breakfast allowed us to have a memorable time. For those who prefer a quieter start to the day, breakfast can be served in another area than the beautiful kitchen with its breakfast bar.

As the concept of Montecarmo12 is quite unique and different, by only describing it as ‘a hotel’, allows guests to assume it has facilities big hotels provide which could lead to disappointment. Perhaps ‘Boutique Hotel’ is a better description? We loved it and applaud the staff!
