All round excellent, but the stand out is Ricardo who manages the establishment. I lost my passport in a taxi on the way from the airport, and he spent the first hour or more after my arrival calling taxi companies trying to help locate the passport. The guy is a gem and any company is lucky to have him. Its not often one can say that these days. The facilities were also excellent, especially if one is rating from a value for money perspective. Nice sized rooms, great shower, everything works as it should.

The staff were always available in day times, helpful and friendly. Very clean room, Towels changed regularly, Excellent shower with very hot water quickly available. WiFi. Excellent location for a walk to the town centre with other great bars nearby.

The room was a bit small but met our needs. The bed could be improved as dipped in the middle a bit plus pillows not great but still slept like a log. Some noise from the street below as there was a bar around the corner but to be honest, that is going to be the case almost everywhere in Lisbon. The double glazing kept most of the noise outside while the air con kept the room cool.

Location of the hotel is very good, just 10 min from Rossio square - about 274 steps down :) . The hotel is on a quiet street but very close to the main street. There are many restaurants nearby and just next door is a very good brunch place - JAC brunch. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a room with a balcony facing the street and for us was very romantic. The building across the street was abandoned and with destroyed facade but that was ok for us, actually we loved it - great for some pictures. Also this added privacy. There is no elevator but for us it wasn't a problem. The bed was super comfortable. We had everything that we need even water and some sweets. Highly recommended.

The location was exceptional as it was literally in the heart of the city, and we could easily find a parking slot. Additionally, the receptionist was very friendly and willing to help with all our inquiries. Last, room was clean and definitely value for money.

We were not very satisfied with the mattress, which of course can be a personal preference but it was really firm. Location was also a bit tricky to find as there was no property name outside of the building.

Very clean and comfortable room. Despite being in a very loud neighborhood, our room facing the courtyard was very quiet. Location was great for exploring the city, walking distance to almost everything we did. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

The room itself is very small, barely enough room to fit a chair and a suitcase, no other amenities, and was relatively expensive.

It was a heritage building and I loved the charm of it. The staff made all the efforts possible for me to be comfortable despite me checking in post midnight due a late night flight into Lisbon. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and accommodating to keep my luggage late when I checked out. I would definitely stay there whenever I’m back in Lisbon. Thank you - Bairro Alto team

Very pleasant stay. The hotel is perfectly located in the Bairro Alto. Check-in was very smooth, with very secure procedures , the staff was reactive and helpful. The receptionnist especially was absolutely charming and spoke a distinguished English.

The location, the cleanliness and the bed was comfortable. No keys, all you need is a code

Missing 1-2 furniture to put your things down. It’s quite sound proof but you can still hear your neighbours banging their doors

The location was great. The room was a good size and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet. Staff was welcoming and helpful.

It took a bit to find because there isn’t a sign. It was a comfortable stay but I think the price was a little high for the facilities.

Gentleman checking in was really polite and very welcoming. He had all the paperwork ready and was great at explaining the entry system. Room itself exceeded my expectations for the price - was spacious enough, comfortable bed, was clean, the bathroom was small but really clean and entry/room entry was very straight forward and great for not having to carry a key around. Great to have opening windows.

Noise of pigeons from the courtyard but this wasn't the hotel's fault.
