I was at the hotel during the power outage, for an international flight the next day. When we first arrived the hotel was operating on a generator and the lobby was filled with misplaced people and their luggage as they utilized the internet to make arrangements. Every one of the hotel staff handled this very difficult situation amazingly well! They were ALL kind, compassionate and professional as they helped scores of desperate people. As a guest, they did their utmost to make our stay safe and comfortable under extremely difficult circumstances, and they succeeded beautifully. Thank you!

Found hair in my bed that was not mine.

This was an overnight stay before a very early flight, the room was immaculate, there was a pool and spa, which we took full advantage of. the restaurant was very good for both dinner and breakfast. Its within walking distance to the airport, so we just wandered over at 5am. On check in someone came to our room and gave us 2 small bottles of Port and the kids got kinder eggs, such a small thing that really made a big impact on me. Most importantly; we left my 7 year old's stuffed rabbit behind and the staff were very thorough in finding her, holding on to her and boxing her up while I organized a DHL pick up. When the DHL thing fell apart, the hotel took the rabbit back and held on to her again until a friend could collect her. DHL have earned my fury, but the staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful and patient while I was being very annoying.

The location is directly next to the airport, so it's not a place for an extended vacation.

We had a 6:am flight out in 2 days so we wanted something close to the airport to save time in the morning. Mélia was perfect. I wouldn’t call it the “Lisbon experience” by any means but with the airport a 15 minute drive to central getting in and out of the city was incredibly easy and we had zero drama making our flight. There’s a free airport shuttle every 15 minutes as well. Breakfast is included and it’s fine. All in all it’s a well-above-average business centre airport hotel with very comfortable rooms and a wonderfully appointed spa & sauna, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful…especially after I told them my accent is Canadian, not American ;)

Nothing. It’s exactly what we wanted and exceeded our expectations.

The hotel staff was wonderful, including their willingness to help us drop the car off the night before our flight home (and they were 100% right to recommend that!). The shuttle service to the airport was super easy and every 15 minutes. We also loved the small bottles of port in the room---the perfect end to an amazing trip to Portugal. Room was a tiny bit small, but given it was for 1 night that was fine. Nice and quiet, too. Really, if you have an early morning flight to the US or elsewhere, this is the way to go.

Staff was outstanding! Great check in service, explanations of the hotel, courteous and friendly. The doorman/shuttle service gentleman had my husband shadow him to the car rental return, then brought him back to the hotel on arrival. Great room, but a lot of glass! Nice decor and amenities. Room very small, but included a tub and shower. So quiet at all times even right next to the airport. Nice restaurant for dinner. Great breakfast included in our stay, starting at 430 a.m. greatly appreciated as we left very early for the airport. Quick shuttle service to the airport in the morning.

breakfast, very good, lot of selection & starting full service at 4am, fantastic. greta location for airport - 5 mintues walk, & easily used metro to enter city & back.

2 things. 1st - when checked in, was told gym was not 24hr, open from 8am, no good for morning workout (especcially being airport hotel)- needs to be 5am. - but the best was in 1 of the 2 elevators- on a poster - its said guests have access 24hrs to the gym, just come to front desk & sign to take responsible. - Need to make sure the staff know the rules- so they can inform guests 2. Was told in spa by girl- you couldnt enter the pool without a swim cap, & they had some for purchase- the next night, went to use the gym & funny enough 2 people using pool without swim caps? - no piont having rules if they are not enforced.

Proximity to airport. Friendliness and helpfulness of reception staff. Good exercise and relaxation facilities if wanted to use them. Good bar and restaurant area. Well thought out bathroom. Excellent breakfast included.

Shuttle to airport was chaotic as serves two adjacent hotels. We gave up and walked .Not a problem as weather was good Bed was too small so we paid 40 Euro for an upgrade. Only one small window in room which makes if fell smaller. Noise from rooms above and adjoining. Outdoor pool not operating which was a shame as beautiful summers day. No iron in room but one provided on request.

The hotel facilities are exceptional. The indoor swimming pool/sauna/steam areas are probably the best we’ve come across during our travels (we notified the staff about a small section of the steam room ceiling having detached). The snack bar provides lovely meals. The restaurant is a bit overpriced.

We were really excited for breakfast as we’d seen several reviews using adjectives such as “excellent, phenomenal, and fabulous”. We were disappointed, however, as it was no different to any of the other breakfasts we’d had at other European hotels. The main failure was the fake bacon substitute provided.

Booked this hotel because I arrived at LIS airpot at 2100 and had an 0540 flight out the next morning, so I wanted something exceptionally close to minimize travel time. This hotel was perfect! Easily walkable from arrivals with dedicated zebra crossings, but they also have a shuttle if you have unmanageable luggage or need other accommodations. The staff was so friendly and accommodating at check in, including offering to have a boxed lunch prepared at 0345 because I would miss the included breakfast that started at 0400. Would stay again, if I needed accommodation close to the airport.

The room was great, but the only thing we didn't like is that the bathroom is open to the bedroom. This means little privacy for the toilet or shower, which might not be an issue for some couples, but wasn't ideal for traveling with friends. Everything else about the room was super comfortable, though!
