I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Axis Porto Club Aliados Hotel for four nights and had an overall wonderful experience. Location: The hotel’s location is superb, nestled in the heart of Porto. It’s within walking distance to many of the city’s main attractions, including the Livraria Lello, Clérigos Tower, and the vibrant Ribeira district. The proximity to public transportation, including the metro, makes it easy to explore the wider area as well. Staff: The staff at Axis Porto Club Aliados are exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly and made to feel at home. The front desk staff were particularly helpful, offering great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries and made sure my stay was comfortable. Cleaners: The housekeeping team did a fantastic job maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. My room was spotless each day, with fresh towels and toiletries replenished regularly. The attention to detail was noticeable and greatly appreciated. Room and Amenities: The room itself was modern and well-appointed, featuring some convenient gadgets. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the overall design of the room was both stylish and functional. In summary, my stay at Axis Porto Club Aliados Hotel was delightful. The excellent location, outstanding staff, meticulous cleaners, and the thoughtful room amenities all contributed to a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Porto.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Exceptional, bountiful breakfast. Really friendly, always helpful staff with suggestions about things to see and how to get around. Very good restaurant and menu with good indoor and outdoor seating. Comfortable room well laid out. Good temporary parking spot in front for unloading. Underground parking is about 4 blocks away. Very good access in the hotel for anyone with mobility issues.

A couple of times the restaurant was out of things on the menu, not communicated to the servers until after the order was turned in.

The Hotel was in a great location, in the town and close to the metro station. Everything was in walking distance , great bars and restaurants. 15 minutes walk to the river but you could also get the metro, just 3 stops to the Bridge and get the cable car down from there. The staff were always friendly and welcoming and the hotel was lovely with nice clean rooms. Nothing to fault really, we will stay here again.

There was a restaurant attached to the hotel, where you get 10% discount. It's not actually part of the hotel but we ate there one night. We had an issue with our main dish which we had to send back. This spoilt the meal as we still couldn't eat it once it had been cooked further. However the manager did come to speak to us and knocked the price off the bill and dealt with the matter in a professional manner. This was probably a one off as the rest of the meal was good but it has put us of eating there again. However this is not the hotels fault hence the 10/10 rating.

Its location. Bang on Aliodos square! Also, the staff was very warm, especially the restaurant staff! The breakfast itself was quite good. The rooms were nice and big, but there are some problems (listed below)

1. The rooms come with very little cupboard/storage space. If you are on a holiday of 7-8 days, of which 3 are in this hotel, then you need a lot more storage space for clothese 2) There was a peculiar problem with room lights. On one night, all the lights turned on by themselves in the middle of the night. This happened 3 times at intervals of approx 20-30 minutes. This happened once again the next night. So for two nights out of three, I was unable to sleep well

Great location, just next to the Town Hall on Aliados and a 5 min walk from the main subway station, Trindade. I was lucky enough to have a room with a view! The room was spacious, the bed really comfortable, everything spotlessly clean and in good condition, with good sound and heat isolation. Staff was kind and attentive, without being intrusive. Breakfast (buffet style) was available at the restaurant next door for a fee of 15€ per day, so there was no need to venture out into the rainy wilderness for food early in the morning. I loved staying there and look forward to returning!

The hotel is in a great location. If you are going on a tourist trip and arriving by plane, it is certainly one of the best locations. The hotel is modern and clean. The beds, sheets and pillows are great. The staff is very friendly.

I didn't like that they only have scrambled eggs for breakfast every day, but they make it early in the morning and then if you come around 9 the eggs are dry and no one refills anything. The tables around you are all left with dirty dishes and no one clears them. We had an unpleasant situation where the fire alarm went off at 2 am and imagine waking you up in the middle of the night. Of course, that's not a problem because it can happen to anyone, but no one apologized for it, not even when leaving.

Fantastic location, excellent, friendly, and super helpful staff and service throughout our stay, nice and rather new property. They also made special arrangement to give us some super-early breakfast on our last morning when we had to leave for the airport at 6:45am.

No hot water at all on two of our four evenings (Friday and Saturday), which seems to be - based on the discussions we had with the staff and our own observations - due to inadequate hot water capacity when all rooms are occupied. On one of our four mornings (a Saturday) breakfast started half an hour late and was very limited, apparently due to the responsible person(s) not getting to work that morning. The hotel credited us for this breakfast, but frankly we would have been happier to pay and have a proper breakfast than get the credit. Luckily, there are many places to get breakfast nearby, so it was easy to find whatever extra we wanted after this limited (and free) breakfast.

We got a room to accommodate 3 people. The sofa bed was set up for my son in the living room. My husband and I had a bedroom with a double bed. I was concerned that the room would be too small but no worries--plenty of space for 3 of us! Small refrigerator in main bedroom to keep drinks cool. Bathroom size was good with plenty of counter space. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Hotel is across the street from City Hall. Very convenient location with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Convenient location for first time in Porto. Updated rooms, professional staff, luggage assistance, upscale restaurant with many breakfast options including mimosas. Enjoyed the French doors in the room and bathroom which brought in natural light. Bonus was umbrellas being provided in the room and lobby. Also a free glass of port coupon.

Water in the shower was lukewarm on our first day. When mentioned stated it was due to the power outage the day before. 2nd day the water was hot.

The staff is very welcoming and professional. The hotel is decorated very well, and our rooms were very spacious. I really liked all the amenities (specially the slippers, which felt quite sturdy for being from a hotel!). Our rooms all faced the inside backyard, which was very silent and peaceful. The location is quite good, a short walk from the main train station and from where most of our tours/activities were starting. There's a mall nearby, and plenty of restaurants. The hotel itself doesn't have parking, so it's quick 5 minutes walk from the actual parking site (we could park our big car pretty comfortably). The water pressure in the shower is good, the beds are comfy. complimentary tea and coffee is replenished everyday. Breakfast is simple, but good.
