Very quaint hotel with a great location and convenient to all of the areas we needed to walk to. They offered a nice continental breakfast on the top floor with some nice views of the city square. The front desk morning and evening staff were exceptional with their excellent suggestions. While some lower level rooms appeared to have been remodeled, our upper level room had not been remodel which didn't impact our great stay in the city.

Nothing really although parking was a bit of a challenge and a two hour limit was an issue. Underground parking garages were close by but presented a challenge given the rental van I had.

Great hotel in a great location. Spotlessly clean, excellent staff at reception and breakfast room, especially Phillipa who gave us excellent information and guidance, couldn't have been more helpful, she must love her job as she was so pleasent. Good breakfast, had everything you need. Room was clean and quite for a good sleep in the centre of Porto. All tourist sites within walking distance of the hotel. Great hotel would highly recommend it.

Nothing to dislike. Previous reviews referred to worn carpet didn't effect us as you don't sleep on the carpet. If you want 5star then pay accordingly.

Thank you for warm welcome, we had experience with super nice Administrator - it was a Lady with glasses, she was ultra helpful in all and positive. She proposed to us better room with bigger bed, was enough space in the bathroom, we had a terrace. Breakfast was classic with bakery, cheese, jam, butter, jama for bakery, yogurts, coffee, tea, juices, water, fruits and tomatoes. Thank you very much!

I expected to try some eggs for breakfast or other dishes too. But in common, breakfast was good. Thank you. Also in the room I expected to have a slippers, with it I feel more comfortable, my feet’s are more warm and like at home.

The location is very good. The stuff is very kind and helpful. The place and the room are very clean. It has am elevator. Great view from the rooftop. I asked to keep our luggage because I we arrived before check-in time, and they not only save it but also put in our room, so when we arrived to the hotel I just ask for the room key. Very kind 😊 I also asked to keep our luggage on the checkout and they, very kindly, did it. I recommend this hotel for sure.

The room furniture it is a little bit old. If they renew it, it will have a better look. The Breakfast was ok, but miss the scrambled eggs.

Arriving early morning from cross-Atlantic flight, before room ready, I was welcomed warmly, offered use of large restroom and other space in lobby to change clothes and reorganize. Helpful directions/suggestions were offered for touring city, which I set off to do, leaving bag for check-in later. Location was quiet and fairly convenient, lively enough and very safe (stating as woman alone). All staff friendly. I'd go back!

All was good! While location a bit far from river, it was near many other enjoyable sights.

Friendly and very helpful staff with warm smile on their faces. I really like them. They answer any of your questions with great pleasure and giving you helpful information. Location was super. In the city center. The great restaurant just around the corner, but you have to book it in advance. Worth to visit.

A little bit uncomfortable was the breakfast. The dining room is small. You are asked about preferable time for breakfast in advance during check-in. That's not a big deal, but anyway. Not a big variety of food.

Amazing location and really clean hotel , a super market 3 minutes walking and next to the metro station

I didn’t like that they said that you will pay at the hotel once you arrive and they charged the first night one day before my reservation without permission from my credit card It’s weird that you have to leave the key every time that you go out , sometimes I had to wait long time because it was a line in the front desk just to get my key . The rooms are really old , the furniture it’s old but to be honest everything is really clean so I didn’t mind that much

Friendly staff. Kind and helpful. Fabulous location. Close to everything - especiaĺly for the markets and a quick snack without blowing the budget. Walk everywhere

Visitors slamming their doors and not considering other people staying in the hotel. Window is jammed partially open. It did not bother me as the nights were warm and l enjoyed the natural breeze. There is air conditioning but did not require

From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel so welcomed and every member of staff we encountered were friendly, professional and so informative. The location was perfect and within walking distance to so many points of interest. We had such a busy itinerary that we just needed a place to sleep etc. This hotel was so much more, so clean, provided for our needs and even when we checked out, we could come back and freshen up when we collected our luggage. I will definitely stay here in future when I'm in Porto and will recommend it to family and friends.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. If I was being picky, I would say the room didnt have milk for my cup of tea. That's just me!!!

The hotel is in a great, very central location just minutes from the metro to the airport and the lively downtown area. The staff were all very friendly, kind and professional and were a highlight of my stay at the Vera Cruz. The price was also very reasonable for the location and breakfast was just right - lots of choice and located in a rooftop area which has views over the central square and neighbouring areas. I would highly recommend.
