We liked that the downstairs reception was staffed during the day and we had the whatsapp number for the receptionist and she provided lots of restaurant tips etc., she also met us at the property on arrival. The communal stairs up to the apartment were clean. The apartment was bright and spacious and the bed was comfortable. Although not super central there were some fantastic coffee shops, bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk, and we actually liked the quieter location. Bonfim is a good, local neighbourhood, and doesn't feel touristy. On arrival we were offered a room on the ground floor, with a garden(for a small nightly supplement) which we declined as I had read another review that said the garden was overlooked with people walking past the back fence. I can clarify this is not the case, we could see both the garden and back fence from our 2nd floor apartment and it was very private in terms of a view from the back of it. It was very quiet at night so we slept well. There is an aircon unit and the windows open so you can have a breeze too if you prefer

Only things which could have been improved were there were no hooks anywhere, just one in the bathroom. This meant that hats, bags, jackets etc couldn't be hung up anywhere, just draped over the back of chairs etc. Not that many hangers in the wardrobe and the longer part of the wardrobe had no rail meaning long dresses etc got crumpled on the bottom. The water from the kitchen sink and bathroom tap was BOILING hot, be warned! Only one bedside table and lamp which was frustrating when you are travelling as a couple

It was clean, comfortable and central to most things. But Beatriz, made my stay at Pause simply fantastic. She is the heart beat of Pause. She does it all, from making reservations for dinner, taking care of luggage, directions, recommendations for everything. She is awesome!!! When the lights went out, she made sure we all had candles. Lighters and whatever I needed, the level of kindness and compassion with concern was unbelievable. Please keep Beatriz at Pause. And I forgot she even made sure she cleaned the apt. Wow! Young with energy and passion and professionalism for her job. Beatriz, gets an AAA+ she is a keeper. Whoever her manager is please continue to support and fully appreciate and compensate her. I will definitely 💯 stay at Pause in Porto, all the time. Just make sure Beatriz is there. And will spread the word to my friends and family about staying at Pause apartments. Our Pause apartment was the perfect home base to use for exploring Porto. Located only a ten-minute walk (albeit uphill) from the Campanha train station, it was the perfect size , very modern in an old building, and very quiet and comfortable. We stayed for four nights, visiting all the major sights around the old town. Most everything is within a half hour walk or you can hop on the Metro or take a bus to all the attractions. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants and bakeries and there is a Lidl right around the corner. Marina, our host, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was beautiful, felt luxury and had a lot of space and amenities. The building was mostly private and quiet. The room got lots of light, and the terrace was lovely for brunch and sun! The blinds were also great to black out if needed. We were a short walk from the centre and there were lots of places to eat and drink around. If we needed anything, the host was very helpful and welcoming. She gave us lots of advice and places to visit and was easily contactable, going out of her way to make our stay as good as possible. This enhanced our stay a lot. Thank you. We hope to stay again and recommend others too!

Very minor issues: The first is not the apartment's fault—we saw a man looking at us through the gates of our terrace from the back of the apartment, which made us unsettled, but the apartment still felt secure. I wonder if something could be put up so the public can not see in to improve privacy on terrace. Some of the light switches did not work. Also, the back door did not always lock properly, we had to make sure we checked. but these were very small criticisms, and we really enjoyed our stay!

The apartment is located in a quiet area, about a 5 minute walk from the metro and a 5 minute walk from the train station. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and Lidl nearby. The apartment and its facilities fully met our expectations, the bathroom was new, the room large and the view from the balcony pleasant. With Beatriz's excellent communication, we were maximally satisfied.

Extremely clean space with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment was newly renovated and centrally located enough that we were close to everything but far enough away from the noise. The check in was seamless, and the staff were very helpful.

The pillows were not great, luckily I had a travel pillow, and was able to give my mom an extra pillow. Would have preferred a pillow with more filling /firmness, as these were very unsupportive

The apartment is at a perfect location, walkable distance from historical part of town, in a calm area with grocery store, restaurants and coffee shops on same street. We had a car rental and could park near the apartment. The train station and rental car office are very near. The building was renovated with style, keeping it’s historical essence. Very comfortable and calm, we slept like babies. We had a little outside terrace to sip our coffee in the morning sunshine. Highly recommended! Home managers easily reachable. Perfect location since you are near the church (if you are Catholic), metro (4 mins. walk) , bus stop (just outside the main door), and a nearby supermarket. Restaurants are near as well, like a 14-minute walk. What I like the most in the apartment is the minimalist style of it, squeaky clean bathroom with a very large mirror (which we love), lots of amenities, and complete kitchen appliances. Neighbourhood is quiet and calm. The hostess (Beatriz) is amazing in which she suggested all the good restaurants and the picturesque buildings in Porto. She has been very welcoming and helpful since we arrived. The only thing that I'm worried about to other travellers is the short uphill walk to the apartment (if you're not taking a bus), but for us, we easily managed it. All in all, it is a great place to stay in Porto, Portugal!

The apartment was fantastic! Really spacious, light and airy, with a little kitchen, eating area and balcony. Bed was super comfy and slept really well. I loved staying here! Beatriz from Pause Apartments couldn’t have been more helpful and I’m really grateful for her recommendations.

Might be noisy in the summer as there’s wooden floors so at times I could hear upstairs but fine with ear plugs.

Beatriz was really lovely, communicative, and gave us a great list of activities and restaurants to try around Porto. The flat itself was nice and the bed very comfortable.

The sink in the bathroom wouldn't drain and only a trickle of water would come out the kitchen tap. It was also quite loud when turned on so there is likely some pipe issue that requires a plumber. The location wasn't the most picturesque but we were half an hour walk away from the center so it was fine overall.
