This hotel was absolutely amazing. Fatima and Calo were the most inviting and kind hosts, and I would stay here again just to see them. The room was huge, breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect - just a little off the beaten path to be quiet, but close enough to easily get to all the tourist spots. We could not have asked for a better spot for the end of our trip in Portugal.

The Apartment was very tastefully decorated and had all facilities required. Wi-fi was excellent and I had a balcony room although no room for seats but pleasant all the same. In a quiet location.

The propietor had stated that you had to run the shower for 12 minutes before hot water this was true but will have to be surely rectified. The apartment did not have a safe which I personally prefer. A downhill walk of about 10 minutes to the nearest metro would have personally preferred closer. Breakfast outsourced to a couple of cafes therefore I personally lost out because of an early departure. Finally no lifts which may pose problems for those less mobile

Where to start? Fatima and Calo have designed a beautiful aparthotel and are incredibly welcoming, offering lots of suggestions for where to go. We stayed in the loft which was so spacious and had a lovely terrace for enjoying a view of the city. The location was perfect as it is in a quieter part of town, but only 3 blocks from the main walking street and 10-15 min walk to river. We walked everywhere and had no issues getting around. But what we really loved was the breakfast delivered to our room each morning. We were sad to leave after 5 amazing nights in Porto. We will be back and no doubt we will stay here!

Everything was above and beyond!

The apartment was really nice, clean, and equipped with all the basic facilities such as a toaster, microwave, air conditioner and fridge. It was a great place to stay for a couple of days. The location was ideal for us, just a 15-20 minute walk to the city center. The host was friendly and explained everything clearly.

However, being on the second floor, carrying large luggage up the stairs was a bit tiring. One downside is that you can't leave your luggage after checkout, which is at 11 am. We had to find a nearby locker, which cost around 30 euros for two large suitcases and two backpacks for about 2-3 hours. The breakfast included with the apartment was just a 5-minute walk away, but it was limited to bread with butter, coffee, orange juice, a croissant, and jam. There’s only one option, and the place itself isn’t very pleasant for breakfast, so keep that in mind.

Our hosts were just amazing. Their property was just wonderful. We were met on arrival by them both and despite being early for checkin, they allowed us to leave our bags at the property and gave us keys to our rooms. We arranged a time for breakfast and each morning breakfast was presented beautifully in my room on the terrace - which was lovely! Everyday, one of them would greet us, whether we were leaving or just popping back for a rest before heading out again. My terrace studio was perfect - so much so that my friends who also stayed at the property want to return with their partners. The Gardenia Aparthotel has been lovingly and beautifully restored by our hosts and is situated a short walk from the main tourist street and 'Blue Church'. Everywhere is easily accessible on foot and there is a little local shop on the same street where one could purchase groceries for the fridge. My terrace room was tastefully decorated with all the standard ameneties, fridge, cutlery, kettle, hairdryer, WiFi etc. Despite being so close to the center - it was very quiet and the terrace was a place to chill or spend an hour with friends. Just amazing!

Really lovely building and very comfortable room. Within walking distance of all of Porto's atrractions

It appears that there has been a change of ownership. The breakfast is no longer delivered to the room as advertised. Instead, you are given vouchers for a bakery 100m away and they provide breakfast. The breakfast is very nice, but this is not what we were expecting and feel we should have been informed of this change prior to travel as this was not ideal and not what we booked

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fatima's and Calo's apartments. The apartment was well-equipped and clean. We were truly appreciative of Fatima and Calo's hospitality, as well as their helpful suggestions. The breakfast delivered to our room each morning was delightful. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

In our ground-floor apartment, the bathroom was quite small, making it challenging to move around. However, it was well-organized to maximize efficiency. The double bed, at 140cm wide, was the smallest my husband and I have ever slept on, leading to some restless nights

The location is perfect, easy reach to main tourism points; balcony dining table is romantic to enjoy the sunset and the gentle wind and accompanied with some wine and food; the staffs are always smiling, and Mr. JP and Lucas helped me a lot with everything about Porto and the apartment, highly recommend!

Mostly everything

No screen when we opened window which allowed flies in room. We enjoyed having the window open to blow in fresh air, but the wind almost knocked over mirror above sink to fall, but luckily I saved it from falling. It surely would have been broken. The bath towels for after shower could have been thicker.

The personal welcome at the door made us feel very welcome! A nice welcome drink (Port, what else?!) , meeting the host and hostess, It was really a personal, excellent experience. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, thank you! Just a short stroll to the shopping streets, just outside city center so a nice and quiet place. Would stay again here!
