The size, the outdoor space which is rare in a smaller hotel in Porto, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the excellent bathroom and breakfast.

I found it quite noisy sometimes at nights. I was going to be early to make the most of sightseeing during the day, but a number of guests were returning to their rooms quite late at night. It was difficult to shit the bedroom door or walk from the lift to the room without making a noise as the floor wasn’t carpeted and the hallway echoed. I don’t think other guests were being especially noisy but every sound they made echoed around the floor. I tried to shut my door quietly a couple of times but it was impossible to achieve this even when holding the handle down while closing the latch.

The room was fine and since we had a dog it was really cute that they left a small pillow for her and a bowl. I also liked the area, which was close to everything, and it was a relatively clean room. Special kudos yo Angelica who was an angel(!) and gave us tons of advice on what to do, where to eat, where to drink and she has been extremely caring and thoughtful!

My only concern was that we found that the fridge was not working since day 2 and although we mentioned that to 2 different people no one fixed it or replaced to our surprise... Maybe it was a miscommunication issue but it did not looked good. The price was a bit too much for that room.

The hotel is very clean and pleasant. Room was amazing. Lovely color palete on the wall gave you energy immediately after waking up. Bed was comfy and very big. A large TV with good channels. Spacious bathroom. Fridge and 2 bottles water in the room. The lady at the reception was very friendly, she recommended vineyards, attractions and treated us with glass of porto . Breakfasts were tasty, delicious cakes and good coffee. The location is also great.

The balcony was smaller than I expected, you can only stand on it. Space for clothes limited if you are planning a longer stay, but it was fine for our 4 day stay.

Loved the location, right on the main shopping street but quiet at night. Front stuff super friendly and helpful. Place was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom products were good. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

Light system was weird. You could only turn on the lights when you put your card in. Air conditioning was blowing straight at the head of the bed. Too many little lights made it too bright at night. Shower did not have the enclosure, just the curtain, and part of the shower ledge was missing. So each time we showered there was water on the floor.

We have just returned from Casual Raizes spending 3 nights there. Great location only 3 mins walk from Bolhao metro and the indoor food market. Quiet but central location on one of the main shopping streets. Double room was very comfortable and modern. The bathroom was also modern and spotless. The hotel provide soft towels and Rituals products. Breakfast ample and delicious Choice of bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, fruit, breads, delicious pastries, cereal and fresh fruit juices. There was a mini fridge, safe and kettle provided in the rooms. Would definitely recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely clean hotel. Very friendly welcome when we arrived close to midnight after our flight to check in. Rooms were soundproofed and despite being next to the lift, we heard minimal noise. Air con worked well and the fridge in the room was a bonus. Excellent location and we walked everywhere as we felt safe at all times.

Breakfast - in hindsight we would not have paid for breakfast as the selection was small and not to our preference. There are lots of cafes nearby including the Mercado do Bolhão.

Great location The staff on the front desk Camilla. Angelica and Catarina were all so friendly, kind, helpful and extremely knowledgable about the city and have some good tips for getting around! The room was extremely clean, loved the little touch of a handwritten note and some pastel de natas in the room. Breakfast very basic but definitely does the job, if not for you then there is plenty of cafes within walking distance

The sofa bed was a little uncomfy however you do that much walking throughout the day you can definitely sleep on it!!

The location is perfect. At the end of the main pedestrian shopping street. We were able to walk everywhere from this location and when we were lazy, it was super affordable to Bolt to and from. We were able to park our rental car right around the corner to unload and load. The hotel recommended parking garage is about a 5 minute walk away and is big, clean, safe, and reasonably priced. The hotel has a modern, bright, clean aesthetic. Our 3-person room was huge. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was huge. Great water pressure. Lovely soaps and nice towels. Our room was super quiet. The breakfast was very good with a great variety, well stocked, and in a hipster space with a courtyard view. The check in and check out were seamless. Appreciated the large elevator for moving our luggage. Good wifi. Appreciate the refrigerator in the room.

I'm struggling to find any faults or concerns.

The hotel was beyond my expectation. It was in an excellent location at the start of the pedestrian street of Sta Catarina with major sites within walking distance. It's modern, cozy, very clean; breakfast had a variety of warm and cold dishes and the bedroom was very clean with a soft bed and bathroom with modern fixtures. The best of my stay was the front desk staff, the friendliest and most helpful people I've ever met. Camilla, Illary and Jorge were always there to help. For 2 mornings, I had early meetings, the hotel prepared a sumptuous breakfast bag of drinks, sandwich, pastries, fruit and a chocolate candy stapled onto the bag! Internet connection was excellent. Oh yes, it has a lift:-)
