The staff was very friendly and helpful, the host (business owner?) is a very hospitable old man who was genuinely interested in our stories, and I felt more like a guest than a client. The location of the place is excellent. The shower was fully functional, the beds were more or less comfy, the room was clean. There was a very powerful hairdryer in the bathroom which saved us a lot from the damp climate issues. A huge bonus - it was very convenient that we could leave our bags at the reception after the checkout and have a walk in the city before going to the airport.

It would be a great improvement to put duvet covers on the blankets. Currently the blankets are given with just extra sheets. The breakfast lacked diversity, but it was ok for the three nights of our stay. The rooms were a bit moist, but I guess it is just the climate in early spring.

We arrived on the day of a major power outage and were relieved the accommodation was so nice and safe, central, and the staff were excellent especially given the odd situation. Amenities, metro, attractions in walking distance, including an amazing vegan all you can eat restaurant basically next door.

The walls are a bit thin, you can even hear the next room's occupant brushing teeth. However, given we were just happy that we had the power back, and the guest house is otherwise really nice, we didn't even mind that.

Great location in the city centre, all attractions are within walking distance. Excellent staff: receptionist was polite and friendly, room cleaned every day. Very clean, freshly renovated bathroom, no mould (I am allergic, this is important for me), quality white towels and bed linen. The room was warm, but just in case there were 2 large double blankets in the wardrobe. The floor has lovely old parquet which is lovely to walk on barefoot. I asked for a quiet room when booking, we were placed in a room with a window to a courtyard with greenery and a cat in a collar.

The mattress on the bed was very squeaky.

Location was great, and overall super value for money. Everything felt spotlessly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff (maybe the owners?) were super helpful - even though one of them did not speak a word of English. Great for a quick stay in Porto!

The only bad thing was that it's an old guesthouse - renovated but still old - so if you expect something like a traditional hotel you will be disappointed. It was great overall, the only thing I did not like was that "old building" smell that was in the rooms, which did kinda go away eventually after airing out the room for a few hours.

Centrally located, clean room with twin beds and a separate personal bathroom. Beds were comfy, there was air-con in the room that was very quiet and worked well. The family who run this accommodation are really lovely, they went above and beyond to help us. We walked the camino and they stored our bag for two weeks and for a days sightseeing before our flight at no cost. Breakfast is available should you want it at a reasonable fee. Excellent value for money

It's pretty basic but very good value, and the AC worked very well. The owners were friendly and helpful. Well located on a quieter part of a busy shopping street. Bed comfortable, and AC worked just fine

Carrying heavy suitcases up to the top floor! Pretty basic facilities Porto is pretty hilly, so be prepared for a good walk back from the riverside, if you go there

Great location for exploring the city, going out for food and groceries and sight seeing. We hardly used any public transport as everything is walkable or is for us as we as family, we loved walking and exploring. Its a steep hill walk just like as in Spain or Istanbul so be prepared for that. Lovely shower.

Just remember there is no lift and you may will need to carry your luggage upstairs. We did not find any fault with anything else.

Two very helpful receptionists (Emilia and Karina), both speaking English. A good location, not far to walk to old town, river, Luiz bridge, anything; although one should know, that Porto districts have quite a difference in altitude - which, I guess, is part of the charme of the city. Closeby is a bus station for city busses e.g. to the Atlantic (EUR 2,50/person/trip). The area feels safe at day and night, a car may be parked in a private garage at the opposite of the guest house for very reasonable EUR 12/day (cash). The breakfast for EUR 6 offers a huge coffee or tea, milk, corn flakes, croissant, bread roll, simple cheese/sausage slices, jam, honey (on request) and fresh orange juice - a lot for the money. One may sit at the patio in the back. A good place to stay!

The staff and facility as well as the location where amazing. The room rates were also very good. Very kind, helpful, friendly staff. Very clean, gave us room cleaning service everyday. The breakfast at €7 was very good & good value as well as plentiful & convenient. We stayed 6 nights, I would highly recommend and would definitely go back. Thanks so much Marion & Helen

simple B+B very close to centre of Porto, but still pretty quiet. 5min walk to Trindade or Bolhão metro stations. no lift -- my room was on top floor. Wifi worked fine. Bathroom and bedroom clean. Good value for the price, pleasant helpful staff (English spoken), Breakfast (€6) was acceptable.

would have appreciated fresh fruit at breakfast.
