The hotel was well located, the staff were very friendly / accomadating, and there was car parking onsite onsite, although at an extra cost of €17.00 per day.

I should say that I have significant hotel experience, and in my opinion the breakfast bar was mainly geared up for continental breakfasts, and not for those Irish/English hot breakfast lovers. There was only a minimum amount of fried eggs & bacon kept in the hotlockers at any one time, and even when they were topped up, only small amounts were added to the hot lockeres. This meant we were waiting for items to arrive to the hotlockers, and subsequently we only got bits of our breakfast at a time. The plates were very small & cold, and I suggest that the hotel provides hot/warmed plates for the hot breakfast lovers as there's nothing worse that getting hot food and then putting it on a cold plate, it defeats the hole purpose of hot food.

The hotel was very good, clean and comfortable. We had breakfast each morning, which was excellent. We chose to eat out for dinner each day as there are some very good restaurants within 10 minutes walk from the hotel. We didn't use the pool and spa facilities, but they looked really good. Would recommend this hotel as it is in a good location to see Porto and metro is around the corner if needed

From the moment we arrived, this hotel completely blew us away! The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and every detail was taken care of. The Pool: Absolutely stunning! Crystal-clear water, comfy loungers, and a great vibe whether you're swimming or just relaxing. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of exploring. The Breakfast: WOW. One of the best hotel breakfasts we've had — a huge variety. Everything from the service to the ambiance was just perfect. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, quality, and a little bit of luxury. Would definitely come back!

Everything new and clean. Staff is extremely friendly. We enjoyed our stay that much so we extended it. Highly recommend. The breakfast is various and delicious. There are fresh juices. There are 3 sockets from each side of the bed. Location is great - a supermarket around the corner, Catarina street 5 min walk

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The bed was nice and firm. The room was spacious. The staff was nice and accommodating. The breakfast was good with a nice variety. The pool and sauna was really nice giving you a nice spa feel. The location was great. There were stores, a shopping center, and restaurants within a short walking distance of the hotel. We walked every where even to the riverfront but we’re walkers. Comfortable shoes are essential . We didn’t use any public transportation, other than bolt to the train station to go to Lisbon. When we come back, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

The bathroom need a lock on the door. It just slide close so not much privacy

Great location on a quite road at the top of the main shopping high street, supermarket, good size shopping mall just around the corner with very frequent tube trips to the main railway stations and down to the river tourist Port tasting area. 20 minutes to the airport by Taxi, 30-40min by tube depending on the time of day. Hotel was very clean and tidy, the bedroom was very good the bed was comfortable, linen and pillows were very clean, fresh, selection of drinks in the room fridge was good, plus the selection of making your own hot drinks was also good. Breakfast was very good it catered for most needs - hot and cold, doesn’t need any additional changes otherwise it just goes to waste. We enjoyed. a number of evening meals and drinks, they catered very well for our needs and allergies especially with our lack of Portuguese language and knowledge.

Unusual bathroom took getting use to and limited clothes hanging in the room for longer stays. The swimming room area felt hot on a hot day outside

I recently stayed at BessaHotel Baixa and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is ideally located just steps away from Rua de Santa Catarina and Mercado do Bolhão, making it perfect for exploring Porto. One of the highlights was the indoor pool area, which provided a relaxing space to unwind after a day of sightseeing. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the staff—especially Gabriel, who went out of his way to ensure every guest felt welcome and cared for. Nothing - just that we had to leave

Excellent staff, who are so incredibly helpful and attentive. The swimming pool is gorgeous, and the gym is excellent. The internet is good enough to do long days of meetings. The location is great for people who want to explore the city center. The in-house restaurant is extremely high-quality for lunch and dinner, although reservations are recommended.

The breakfast is a little limited, especially for those with restrictions or allergies. e.g. very few vegetarian or gluten-free options, no oat milk, and the cheeses are pretty basic.

Indoor pool was amazingly clean and relaxing (quality of water in the pool, hygiene excellent). Alma at the reception along with other were professional and always helpful. Claudio at the bar was so kind. Ramon at the restaurant was always ready to help and also kind. The location is fantastic, and it really exceeded my expectations. I´d go back and highly recommend it. Breakfast was delicious and quality of the food was great! Had dinner on my last night and wish I had had more dinners there. I´m so pleased with my choice.
