I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Porto! Actually, I booked one of their apartments, which is located 50 m away from the hotel. The location is absolutely perfect—situated right on Rua Santa Catarina, one of the most vibrant and sought-after streets in the city. It’s surrounded by great restaurants, shopping centers, and local attractions, making it an ideal spot for both tourists and business travelers. A huge plus is the Bolhão Metro Station right at the doorstep, providing easy and quick access to the airport and other parts of Porto. Additionally, it’s just a 10-minute walk to Avenida dos Aliados and Praça da Liberdade, the heart of Porto’s historic center. The convenience, comfort, and accessibility of this hotel make it a top choice for anyone visiting Porto. Highly recommend!

The only thing I would point out - which is not a bad thing but should be improved- is the lack of kitchen utensils, such as pots and pans and stuff like that, There was only one small pan available, so if you are traveling with kids and wish to cook your breakfast, check what is available first.

Functional room, balcony opened for a Santa Katarina church. In general, it is a good place for staying 3 nights. Outside hotel Bolhão metro station (connected with airport). Nice and helpful staff. Perfect WiFi.

There weren't glasses on the window, just wooden door to close. In the morning and evening, the humidity came into the room because doors didn't cover a room correctly. Tiny space between bed and wall for going to bath. Very old furniture and floor (need to be renovated definitely). No elevator (unfortunately).

The location was amazing, and the staff were so nice and new multiple languages which was helpful. It's right next to the Bolhâo train station which we arrived at from the airport which was great, as well many restaurants and shopping centers including souvenir spots! The room we shared was great, it was spacious with a nice bathroom that they cleaned everyday. For some reason nothing was plugged in, including the fridge and even after I plugged it in and waited hours it wasn't cold and then the room got cold since it was raining but the air conditioning/heater didn't work or at least the remote didn't. But we enjoyed our stay here.

so the location is perfect! really in the center of Porto, near everything and with a subway station right next to it. the room was small and a little bit old but again, great view and a mini fridge where one can put what they want and a tiny bathroom. the coffee machine in the room above the reception was very good and cheap. everyone we met was nice and helpful.

there is no elevator so travel light. it's an old hotel so don't expect modern design rooms there is no parking, but again you really don't need a car to stay in there

We were accomodated not in the hotel itself, bu in an appartment directly on Santa Catarina street. Location is perfect. Since we had "B" room, the windows were directed not to noisy pedestrian street but to patio. The appartment was specious enough to accomodate 5 people.

Despite the appartment was newly renovated, but as always in Portugal, it is done sloppy and careless. Bring your shampoo and shower gel.

The location was excellent in terms of being in a vibrant shopping district, next to a Metro station and close to the terrific market and a number of points of cultural interest. The staff were all great - a particular shout out to Manuela and Ruben who were very gracious in going out of their way for us. It was great bonus to be able to leave our bags there when walking the cammino.

The location would not suit those wanting to get away from the tourist beat. Also, being in such a prime location, the rooms were not large.

The location is amazing!!! The staff is very kind. The room is spacious and comfortable. Considering the location, it’s quite expected to be a bit noisy since you’re in the very center, but after 10 PM it’s peaceful and quiet. My only complaint is about the internet it’s really bad. A sincere recommendation 🫶

The staff is WONDERFUL. I turned a 1 night stay into a 3 night stay. I had a few days off from my job in a neighboring city and decided to stay longer. They have a charming personality that makes you feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located in a popular Porto location, Santa Caterina, near Bolhoã. The metro station is less than a minute walk. The rooms are well insulated to keep outside traffic to a minimum. I am an extremely light sleeper and wasn't woken up by noise. The rooms are average size. Some rooms you can view the beautiful Capela das Almas, the blue tiled building that many people take pictures in front of because of its stunning architecture. For the price of the room you get more than you pay for in my opinion. I say this because of the location and comfortability. They provide you with top-notch service and professional yet friendly, which is a hard to master I find too often. There is also a pleasant aroma in the hotel that I find relaxing and comforting. They provide you with the usual hotel toiletries. My room also came stocked with plenty of towels. There is a mini refrigerator and air conditioner in the rooms. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my stay at Hotel do Norte.

The location is perfect, close to the metro station, bustling area with shops and restaurants and also walking distance to all panoramic and most important attractions. The staff was excellent, the room was big enough and clean. The view from the window was spectacular, facing a mosaic wall of great traditional Portuguese paintings. 100% recommend if you're looking for a budget friendly and comfortable stay.

A good and cosy hotel. The location is ideal. Staff is helpful and understands English well. Rooms are clean. The view is nice. There are fridges in every appartment and condition. You can also have offitial registration there during the period of your stay.

There is no kitchen inside the appartment, you can not cook there by yourself.
