We upgraded to a premier balcony room which was good value for money. It was very clean and had good space and it was nice to have an iron rather than having to call room service for one, which is now generally the case. Staff were absolutely excellent - all staff throughout. Very impressed. The lady who checked us in was exceptional. Unusual that all staff are so good. They would definitely make us return. Location is fantastic 5 mins walk to great eateries and theatre.

The “balcony” room is actually more of a half balcony and you cannot sit out in it which is a shame but that’s just the building, nothing you can do. Breakfast was not good quality and definitely not worth £14 a head. Get some decent coffee, bread, bacon and sausage it’s letting things down. Would not have breakfast next time. The Malbec we had in the bar was undrinkable and we both left it. Everything else was very good.

Bed was extremely comfortable. All the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was buffet style and was so nice. Our doggy joined us for breakfast and had her own little cooked breakfast as well. We had our evening meal there and I had sea bass which was one of the best cooked sea bass I've had. Everything was really nice would definitely stay again.

Not enough plug sockets for 2 phones to be charged, hairdryer, and there was a small fridge in the room but wasn't plugged in because I'm assuming there wasn't enough sockets unless you plugged it into where the kettle was plugged in instead of the kettle.

Room lovely for what my friend and I needed. Beautiful location. Nice food places a short walk away. Parking made the trip much nicer knowing the car wasn't far away. Plenty of spaces. Room had a bath which wasn't used during this stay, but was nice to have the option. Managed to check in early which was fantastic. (12:00 rather than 14:00)

There was a peanut under one of the chairs other than that room was spotless. No USB charging ports, had to plug my charger into the back of the TV to charge as I'd forgotten my USB plug, again not major but would have expected a USB port somewhere other than the TV.

Breakfast was well presented and plenty of choice However we were there for New Year’s Eve party night. We were last to go to the buffet and there was very little of the food we wanted and was told there wasn’t any more. We paid our money and expected there to be enough food for everyone regardless of choice but this was not the case. To be fair after complaining to a member of staff they did cook us something else

All of the staff are amazing. So polite, welcoming and helpful. Especially the receptionist in the evening when we booked in. Her service is perfect

The rooms are very tired and dates. I expected a smart tv The carpets were stained in places Only one plug socket and no USB charger in the room. The reception did tell us the hotel is due a refurb This wasn't reflected in the price though. If I'd stayed in another city hotel I'd have paid the same price and had a far nicer room.

From first going through the door to departure, every member of staff was friendly,helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We both struggle with mobility, but on asking for our luggage to be taken to the room Kai was very helpful and on leaving Lauren brought our luggage down and even put it in the car. I’m sorry I didn’t get the name of the lady on reception but she too helped us. A good evening meal and an excellent breakfast choice, met with polite and smiley faces.

Sadly the water in the room wasn’t very warm.

Huge comfortable room with excellent view out over Spurn Lightship in the marina. Hotel very clean and well maintained, staff friendly and helpful. I don't think the location can be beaten in Hull. Breakfast was very good. Would very much stay again.

Paying for parking... but not really an issue given room price represented excellent value for money. Silly issue - no crunchy nut corn flakes at breakfast! Car access is a little difficult at time of writing but this is due to on-going road improvements and no fault of the hotel.

No noise at all from the A63 and roadworks outside our window - brilliant! But occasional noise from the corridor and adjacent rooms/doors slamming, early in the mornings. But you often get that in hotels. The room had proper, really effective, black out curtains! Breakfast was extensive and good, except for first morning, when the scrambled eggs and mushrooms tasted like they'd been kept warm - a bit dry and tough, not freshly cooked. There was no hot cooked food out on display that morning, but was all available to order from staff. The full cooked breakfast was all out on display (self service) on the other mornings. The staff - all exemplary - friendly, helpful and efficient. The view across the marinas from the restaurant/breakfast room. The location - interesting, historical. Some good eateries nearby in the fruit market area.

Trying to charge guests £10 per day to park in the hotel car park!! It should be free. It was not made clear on Booking.com that it was not free. We had a twin room - two single beds, the duvets were ridiculously small (and quite thin). There were no extra bed covers in the room, in case people weren't warm enough. The duvets were inside double duvet covers, bizarre. The bathroom extractor fan didn't work. Because of roadworks it was awkward to drive to the hotel. Security - the door on the marina side was always open - anyone could walk in and make their way up to the rooms.

The staff are fantastic, very welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. We didn't eat in the restaurant but when we returned after our evening out, we went to lounge/bar area and had a drink and a pudding which was very nice and, again, the staff were lovely. It is in a fantastic location overlooking the marina and close to the restaurants and bars. Comfortable beds and very quiet. The road diversions are clear to follow and make it easy to find. Excellent car parking. The hotel had lots of photos on walls of Hull and I always love when there are photos of the actual location you are in rather than generic photos of somewhere unconnected.

Nothing. Perhaps the bathrooms are a little tired but certainly nothing that would stop us from booking here again.

Great location on the marina. Rooms are spacious if a bit tired. Breakfast was good with lovely views over the harbour. Staff were great- friendly and extremely helpful.

I booked a top of the range room which was described as having a large double bed. The bed was a standard double. Reception were very helpful and moved us to a twin which they locked together and made up as a double. We also received a complimentary drink as recompense as the room lacked some of the facilities we had paid for
