Everything was just good. Rception staff who was very welcoming and friendly, housekeeping ladies helpful and made sure our room was clean and we had all we needed. Restaurant staff super polite, chatty and positive and let's not forget about leisure center girls who were nice and understanding with our kids. We had a great stay, kids enjoyed they first night in hotel. Our bed was comfortable and sofa bed was good size for two 13 years old girls. Breakfast was tasty and served in clean restaurant. Laisure facilities great, just all we needed. I really can't say anything negative about our stay.

We like the hotel, location & staff. Rooms are OK & reasonably priced.

Our window was broken. We got moved. It wasn't put on the system, so another couple walked into our room at 2am. The cleaners tried to walk in at 8:30am, thinking it was empty, but we'd locked it. Our breakfast was still under our original room. Luckily, we remembered the number. Got back to our room & the room key didn't work. This is our 18th stay here since 2019 & it's the 1st time anything like this has ever happened. The lady in reception was very apologetic & understanding. She reimbursed our room cost & offered to let us stay till 2pm. Unfortunately, we already had plans, so we couldn't take her up on her offer. Windows need updating.

Good location just off motorway, convenient for an overnight stop. Nice reception and bar/dining areas. Excellent breakfast. Wide menu choice for dinner, a little overpriced maybe but nowhere else nearby to eat. Standard room was clean and comfortable, huge bed and good shower. The included leisure facilities were a big bonus, and made the price we paid excellent value. The pool, sauna, steam room and gym were very quiet on a Friday evening and we really enjoyed the facility. Generally very friendly and helpful staff. Only downside was didn't get the twin beds I requested...tried charge me extra to ' upgrade ' , although on my initial booking said both were same price. Double bed was huge though, and as we were mum and daughter it was ok !

Room service was difficult, no phone in the room and the qr code for room service errored. Tried to call reception but no answer ended up having to go down to the bar in my pj's. Ended up getting a refund but not ideal. Also several times you were waiting at the bar to be served and the restaurant staff would stand at the end of the bar chatting. Spoke to receptionist on check out and was told they probably weren't bar trained but understood how it makes you feel ignored and would address it

Breakfast was self service and very good. Thank you. The room was lovely, clean, warm and comfortable. The hotel provided everything that we needed. My son and I enjoyed a swim in the pool. I am very thankful that the hotel accommodated my request for a ground floor room as my son and I have a disability. Thank you so very much. The biggest THANK YOU has to go to all the staff who work in this hotel. What a lovely, friendly and very hard working team. Over the years I have stayed in many lovely places, including other Holiday Inns. This Holiday Inn outshines them all for its amazing staff team! What a warm welcome we received and every member of staff, from reception to dining, bar and housekeeping, every single member of staff were amazing! Going out of their way to help us enjoy our stay and see that we had everything that we needed. Thank you all so very much. The breakfast was great! First time I had experienced that I can order ấn omelette the way I like it on all of my bookings in the hotels. Great restaurant service! The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and very helpful. Thank you. I loved the pool and the sauna too plus a gym was a bonus. Late check out was great too.

The room allocated. I booked the double bed and when we arrived in the room, we were surprised to be given 2 single beds. I wasn’t informed at the time of booking neither on checking in that the double bed was a problem! Ị requested for a change when we got in to the room but I had to go on a waiting list. Had I not asked about the waiting, I wouldn’t be offered either. I was not informed at all of any update the following day. We had to move the beds together ourselves, no offer of possible help at all. We had to use the two single duvets which were very small too. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable.

The location is fantastic—conveniently close to the motorway yet surprisingly peaceful, making it an excellent base for exploring the area or just relaxing after a long drive. Whether you're traveling for leisure or business, the accessibility and serene surroundings make this hotel an ideal choice. The rooms were impressively spacious and perfectly suited for families. It's one of the few places we’ve stayed where a family with small children can comfortably spread out and enjoy a relaxing stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the room was well-stocked with plenty of towels and bed linen, which made everything so convenient. What stood out most was how thoughtfully the room was set up for families. There was enough space for our kids to play without feeling cramped, and the overall cleanliness and attention to detail left us truly impressed. We also appreciated how close the hotel is to local attractions and amenities. Being near the motorway was a huge plus, as it allowed us to get where we needed to go quickly while still enjoying the quiet retreat the hotel offered. Overall, this hotel is great for families looking for comfort, convenience, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and will definitely recommend it to friends and family!

Stayed here for a couple of days with my 3 children (5 and 1 year old twins) and they make a great effort with children and are child friendly. They have a children’s breakfast table laid out in the morning which my 5 year old loved, a communal play room and they get given an activity box on arrival as well they a little ticket to hand in at the bar for a treat. I also went down to the bar in the evenings for ask for milk for my 1 year old’s and they provided this free of charge. We booked two hotel rooms and the lady on reception made sure we were next door to each other. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They happily provided two travel cots for the twins. Cannot praise the staff enough including the housekeepers who were all welcoming, warm and friendly. A pleasant stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

The only thing missing is that there is no fridge in the bedrooms.

The staff were lovely, so warm and friendly and helpful with our little one. The swimming pool facilities were nice and clean as was the room. The cot was set up for us which last time we stayed at a different holiday inn we had to ring and remind we'd ordered it and set it up ourselves without bedding. The restaurant was lovely, food was clearly fresh and homemade and tasted amazing.

It's quite close to a busy road which you can hear from the room but not too bad once it dies down over night.

This was a perfect family stay, hotel was so geared up towards children! Didn't know but has a small playroom for the kids with so many games TV football table and in main dinner area also a separate smaller children's corner. Free access to pool steam sauna until 8pm on weekends. Vik ( very important kids) goodie bags were given out on check in and token for free sweets/ toy from the bar were Inc too. We had pointed out was daughter birthday and they made a huge fuzz, decorated the table, Inc a birthday card! And balloons. Was those little extra touches which was amazing, not to forget kids eat free!!! So we saved bout £40 on evening meals which also were really yummy from onsite pub. Breakfast was nice everything you could of wanted, kids table with pancakes, waffles, cereal etc and plenty hot fried bits, topping for cereal.. really good spread.. overall great stay, brilliant location we were visiting meadowhall and few other local things.

Nothing negative to say , we enjoyed our room ( best family suite stayed in was huge as big family 2 queen beds and sofa bed!!) pool area is small and kids zone gets busy but that's to be expected but we enjoyed using the facilities and great could sit in hottub which next to toddlers area so could actually relax whilst kids played.
