The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was ready before the official check-in time, and the personnel at the reception assisted with my every need while being exceptionally nice. The location is also just 10 minutes from the city centre, but you can also enjoy the river in the opposite direction, which is close by as well. The room was clean.

The room was very basic, with a small window that couldn’t be opened and no mini-fridge. English breakfast isn’t really my cup of tea, so I didn’t have much to eat. Since they don’t cook on-site, there’s not much you can customize or alter.

Staff absolutely welcoming. Had a close bereavement so arrived at this hotel very emotional but hid my emotions. On checking in The Manager Ferderica was so supportive and kind. Had problems with my heating personally came up to my room after another staff member who kindly brought up some ice for me as I had a fall so using mobility aid. I even had a hug from Federica. I was even provided with a heater. Other occasions Ferderica was just attentive helping me with the lift and asking after my wellbeing. Absolutely wonderful. There were other wonderful staff that embraced my conversation because I was soo low needed to speak with someone about general stuff. Jack and Fran were wonderful. Jack was just so welcoming and enjoyed our conversations.. The hotel was extremely busy that weekend as they had a lot of guests being booked in for an annual Christian convention that i myself was attending. Yet they made time gladly to speak with me. Ben too was lovely.and Iram. All have excellent customer services very professional and nothing seems to be too much to ask. Although I didn't request a lot from them. There was another staff member older gentleman who even offered to knock my door as a wake up call as I was concerned about not waking up in time for convention and he was also helpful. There was another staff member who was lovely helped me with my dress but removing some strings. The staff member who provided my evening meal twice also very supportive. She brought up my soup and roll on my first day as I was struggling and also tried to sort out the heating. I went to the beach on Monday and Ferderica was helpful in providing information about it and asked me on my return home I enjoyed it. Just sooo caring. I had to thank the staff with some chocolate and a card. Really appreciated their kindness and going the extra mile in making me feel so welcome.

The only problem I had was that because of my severe mobility I could not walk far so I was unable to walk to the restaurant area which was only 10 mins walk away. however there was a premier shop across the road that sold hot bakery stuff or there is sufficient menu although it was a bit expensive for me so I couldn't utilise everyday that I was there. But there is a good variety. Had it twice.

We use Hampton by Hilton fairly often and are rarely disappointed. The rooms are comfortable & clean and have all the facilities you need for a stay including tea/coffee facilities & an Iron. The breakfast although promoted as complimentary will be included in the room tariff ! The breakfast offerings are very good though, with a wide selection on offer, both hot & cold. I very much compare the Hampton by Hilton brand to a really good Premier Inn.

It's the same in any hotel nowadays, you have to ring reception to tell them to let you control the heating !! Rooms tend to be cold when you arrive and because you can't immediately control the temperature, it doesn't give a warm feeing on arrival, but that's my only negative comment.

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in in the UK. The room was extremely spacious and contained extra comforts such as a small sofa, well-placed TV and sockets and plenty of mirrors for getting ready. The bathroom was modern and everything was very clean and well-kept. The room and bed were very comfortable, especially the pillows. We also appreciated the fact that soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were available. All the staff were fantastic also and were very willing to help as much as they could.

The only thing we thought could have been improved was the breakfast, as the juice and eggs didn’t taste very fresh and there didn’t seem to be a very large range of hot food. The waffles were great though.

Really lovely and helpful staff throughout, especially at reception. The rooms are quite large & very clean. The bathroom was nice & had a great shower. One of our rooms (booked 2) had an issue with the bathroom door and it was fixed quickly once we let reception know. We were attending an event at Kelham Island and it was a great location for that.

It seemed a little bit expensive overall. Completely a preference thing, but I didn't find the bed comfy, bit too hard and for the price, a larger bed would be good. While most of the breakfast choices were nice (+ a good selection available), the scrambled egg was horrible - a really odd taste!! (I see others have said this too, wish I'd have read that before trying it as it made both my husband and I feel queasy). Great to have parking available, but it was very tight.

Quick and easy checkin. Had been in the room for only 10 minutes when I received an sms from the reception asking if there was anything not as expected with my room. Very nice touch of customer care & service! I replied emidiately that I could not get the TV-remote to work. A few minutes later, one of the staff came to the room with new batteries for the remote, but she also brought a new remote, just in case it wasn't the batteries. This proved to be necessary as only the new remote got the TV to work. Very quiet room. Could not hear any disturbing noices from the corridor or adjacent rooms. I travel alot for work and stay at many different hotels, but this stay really impressed on me. Breakfast was top grade as well. Fresh, and good looking food in a well kept area. The area was kept nice and tidy with staff working the area non-stop.

Nothing! Maybe only the fact that I didn't bring my gym-bag, as the hotel had a nice gym! :)

From start to finish, our stay was absolutely perfect! The hotel went above and beyond to make the occasion extra special with thoughtful touches in the room – it honestly blew us away. You don’t realise how much that meant to us, it made the whole experience unforgettable. The staff were warm, welcoming and genuinely cared about making our stay perfect. The little details really set this hotel apart, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We’ll definitely be back again soon and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere that truly goes the extra mile.

Good location, easy to find. Friendly breakfast staff who offered advice on the gluten free options. Good choice for breakfast. Friendly receptionist in the early hours of Sunday morning, polite and chatty. Good that there was parking available but not clear of the duration, we found out that it is in 24hr periods but had to check with reception.

The bed was very firm and the pillows were soft, the quilt was thin. The sliding door to the bathroom did not lock and kept sliding open, we put a trainer to stop the door sliding open. When we got back from breakfast the lady was turning the room over, then when got back from being out the room had been turned over again On Sunday morning the cleaner didn't knock, the door was just opened and we had to say no thank you for cleaning. We were checking out anyway and the do not disturb sign was on the door but she let herself in. No mushrooms at breakfast

Breakfast was very nice, plenty to choose from hot and cold. items were replenished very quickly, staff cleared away very quickly. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant in fact all the staff in the hotel we came across were very very friendly which made our stay really nice. Every question we asked was answered eg where was such and such place, what tram to get us somewhere etc. I would give the staff and hotel 10 out 10 also would recommend to friends etc. The location we found was ideal for getting everywhere walking, trams etc.

The hotel I had the pleasure of staying at is a place that stands out not only for its comfort and elegance but also for its exceptional service. From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt truly welcomed, thanks in large part to Ferrarica – the true gem of the reception. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made my stay even more special. This is a place I will definitely want to return to!

The sofa was very uncomfortable – small, sagging, and lacking proper back support. It’s okay for one night, but I wouldn’t recommend it for longer.
