Comfortable hotel with basic amenities. Breakfast was nice though not amazing. Room was a nice size with a good shower.

The person opposite was playing very loud music which eventually involved the night porter waking him and us up at 1am to get him to turn it down. This was in no way the fault of the hotel and the manager/porter handled it well but it did detract from our first night's sleep. The hotel is also on a busy roundabout which is difficult to cross to get into the town centre on foot. It would be nice if the hotel could work with the local authority to make crossing the roundabout safer.

Not the best hotel in the world but more than adequate for my needs. There were stains on the hall carpet but it was clean in the room, had everything I needed and I would happily stay there again. I was pleased at this three star hotel.

I'm not great on my feet and there is a busy roundabout to get across if you want to go into the town center. Thankfully, there are still a lot of kind drivers out there and it isn't the hotels fault. The fire alarm went off during my stay which was probably due to someone smoking in their room, but we were allowed back in quickly.

The room was great, and the MASSIVE shower even better ; ) The buffet breakfast was superb. I'd just had mouth/gums surgery and so the scrambled eggs, yogurt, and coffee were just perfect for me. I would have given top marks except that the lift was out of order while I was there. No big deal, no inconvenience to me. Thanks very much. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it.

Decent enough for £50 a night. Location is central to retail parks . As other reviews have mentioned, it isn't pedestrian friendly to get into town as there is no pedestrian crossing. We found it was easier going left out of the hotel and across the foot bridge . Room was basic, but clean. Bed was comfy. Plenty of clean towels, plus the usual shampoo and body wash. Check in was straight forward and rooms were easy to find.

Room was quite basic and a tad dreary. The hotel could do with a bit of updating and a refresh. Maybe irons in the room, rather than having to get one from reception. Not the hotels fault but it isn't easy to walk into town, there should be a pedestrian crossing on the side.

This time I requested a room on the first floor in an even numbered room. Much quieter than the last time I stayed. The room was just as large, no draughts from the window and the water pressure was better. The room was just as clean as previous visits in different rooms but shampoo in shower had run out. I did however provide my own batteries for the TV remote as originals were weak. (Previous experience) If the owners of Ibis hotels read this I would jump at the chance to be your hotel inspector.

Nothing this time

The bed was very comfortable and clean. Had the best sleep for the longest time after a long hours shift. The staff in particular Calum was super helpful with an early check-in. This is what customer service is about.

The restaurant and the buffet was small for the Brand Ibis as an experienced traveler from Dubai and parts of Middle East, a live station freshly made omelet or more will add more value to the variety. A freshly baked bread set would make more sense as well.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was a decent size. Bathroom was perfectly adequate. Location was ideal. Great parking. Good price.

Sadly, the bed wasn't too comfortable. Although the radiator was incredibly effective, I couldn't turn the radiator lower than 19°C so had to turn it off at night, resulting in a cold room in the morning. Unable to open exterior window due to the design of internal window. A few friendly cobwebs on the ceiling.

The staff were amazingly kind and helpful. They looked after my mother wonderfully, especially as she was so stressed. Her partner had fallen while we were on holiday in the UK (from Ireland) and he ended up in Chesterfield Hospital needing surgery for a broken femur. This hotel was very convenient for visiting the hospital, but it was the lovely staff that made a world of difference to the overall experience for my mum. Thank you to all of you for your kindness.

Greeted by polite friendly staff. Tea making facilities in the room. All laundry felt fresh and clean. Comfortable beds. Plenty of towels and toiletries in the bathroom, and a good pressure of hot water when showering. I was able to park our car safely in the well lit rear carpark.

The noise coming through the link door from the people and TV in the next room. Tiling to the bathroom floor was cracked and loose in odd places, several tiles missing from the wall under the sink leaving a hole! And tile joints dirty in many places. Our main concern thou was that we were told there was no guarantee of a car parking space, it's on a first come basis apparently - which isn't very reassuring when you are traveling a distance to get there like we were, and there really is nowhere adjacent to the hotel where you can park on street.

When we checked in, we were told that there was only a reduced menu for evening meal, due to competition from the town centre venues. We were quite happy with the items to choose from. It was very tasty, The breakfast had everything you needed, and there was free tea & coffee all day! what's not to like! The rooms were large enough, and clean. It was on a busy roundabout, but did not have lots of traffic at night, so I slept well, It was only a short walk to the centre, if you are fit.
