Generally, everything was fine. A beautiful historical building. Friendly staff (especially cleaning ladies and in the breakfast area). Cleaning every day. A gym with basic equipment. Various food for breakfast.

Cleaning could be better: stains after a toothpaste in the bathroom were with us all week, dust. Constant outside noise from the a/c. No chicken/fish for breakfast. On the last day, Netflix disappeared from TV. I reported an issue to the reception. They sent a technician who didn’t speak English. He tried to fix it but he wasn’t successful. After that he told me he would check the system and never showed up again. So the problem wasn’t solved.

I am a fan of Crowne Plaza worldwide. For istanbul old city, the clublounge was exceptional. The food, the atmosphere, the service and most importantly Zin Thu. Her customer service level is outstanding. She remembers what we like and dislike. She is very very professional. Our room was very clean. Khoon did a great job. And Fatima was very nice and friendly. I never write reviews but this time I felt the need to do so because everything was awesome. Thank you and hope to visit again soon.

This is a recommendation: to have at least one hour Hammam access per day for women only. The mixed arrangements does not fit everyone.

I stayed at this hotel for five days and would definitely come back again. Everything is thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience, with attention to every detail. The room was well-equipped and cleaned daily to a high standard. The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and always ready to assist. Every evening, I received a lovely good night card along with two small chocolates. I was also given a free room upgrade on arrival, and all of my room preferences were met. The soundproofing was good. My windows faced a mosque, so you’ll hear the early morning call to prayer — but for me, it was a beautiful part of the experience. The location is excellent: just steps from a tram stop and close to a metro station. Still, you can easily walk to many of the main sights. I even walked from Galata Tower, across the Galata Bridge and Egyptian Bazaar, back to the hotel. From the atmospheric lobby to the perfect pillows — everything was exceptional. Highly recommended!

The room was good, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the spa was great. The location is good, not far from the tram line T1 and it is easy to get to the center and main attractions.

The room could be more clean, the bath accessories are old and does not work properly. The room sound insulation is not good and you can hear everything that happens outside (especially several mosques around)

The Crowne Plaza Old City is an excellent hotel, perfectly located, clean with exceptional staff! We arrived to the hotel at 9pm and had a seamless check-in. The ideal location places you steps away from top attractions, dining, and convenient transport links, perfectly located for both the tram and metro station. The hotel has an amazing spa with lovely and helpful staff, always ready to assist. Firstly, we would like to thank Kadir for ensuring we had a wonderful stay from checking in to checking out on our last day. Kadir and the team at Crowne Plaza fulfilled our request for a late check out, as our flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia was later that day, they provided 2 hour complimentary late check out for which we were very grateful for. My husband and I would like to commend Fatima and Sevde for their continued professionalism and fantastic concierge services throughout our stay, who were always available to answer any questions we had both in person and via whats app, even after we checked out on our last day! Finally a huge thank to Windy from Hospitality including Jon, Julia and Gurchin who made our stay special too with their helpfulness and willingness to attend to our every need and questions. We stayed at Crowne Plaza Istanbul - Old City in April, and our experience was absolutely amazing! Their warm welcome and support truly made our stay more enjoyable and comfortable. The hotel is elegant, perfectly located, and offers exceptional service. 1. The staff are quite good and helpful in all aspects. Fatima at the concierge desk was excellent in giving us indications for main attractions and how to get there. Aleyna (and the lady before her who went for holidays) at the VIP Lounge were amazing in their services. 2. The food was excellent, particularly the breakfast and VIP lounge. 3. The location is great and close to main attractions.

1. The mattress was too soft and not comfortable at all. We asked for a change, and we got a comfortable one for the last two nights out of 12 nights that we spent there. 2. Windows were not fully sound proofs. We could hear the train all days and nights in our suite. 3. The swimming pool was freezing to death. Only the first two nights, the pool was at adequate temperatures. 4. The bathtub was elevated and not comfortable to get in and out. It would be really hard for middle-aged and elderly people to get in and out. It needs to be fixed to avoid accidents.

This is a 5 stars hotel, with plenty of services (not the cheapest ones in town, yet good quality), good value for money even for the normal rooms, the normal room is not very big, yet the size is very realistic even if having a crib next to the bed, very clean (room service was checking on twice a day, which I didn't see in any other hotel), family friendly staff (especially Julia at the breakfast, she was checking daily if everything is okay, even giving us some recommendations for things to do in town, she's very friendly with kids, as well Hussein at the reception once he gave my daughter a small gift because she was crying). Location was very central for those planning to use metro and tram, 1 minute from T1 line and 10 minutes away from M2, 15 minutes away from Yenikapi station (Marmaray subway, M1 and M2) The location is good for people going with family, or for those who don't stay awake till after midnight, it's a calm area almost from 8 PM till 9-10 AM in the morning.

Excellent location, nearby Grand Bazaar (15 min walk), Suleyman Mosque (15 mi walk), Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace, Blue Mosque 35-40 min walk. Hotel is in 4 nice historical buildings, interconnected by covered patio - nive hall area with cafe, bar, shops. Breakfast is plentiful, half board used - served dinner froma limited choice menucard - tasteful, but variety could be improved. But OK for 3-4 night stay. Room is on smaller side (18 nm standard room), bed comfortable, room service and cleaning very good.

Wellness area is very small (small swimming pool, steam bath, sauna) and has an old house odour, as it is located in the basement. Only for beds for resting - used it only once.
