I recently stayed at the Makarem Hotel in Makkah and had a positive experience. The staff are well-trained to serve international guests, with good communication skills to handle any inquiries. A standout aspect of their service is the continuous emails hotel sends to check in on your stay and offer assistance, which adds a nice touch of care. Additionally, their shuttle service to Al Haram is available every half hour, which is a great convenience and effectively addresses the hotel's location. Overall, the Makarem Hotel provides a comfortable stay with attentive service.

The parking area at the hotel is quite congested, making it challenging to park the car. The entrance to the parking lot is narrow, and the overall space is limited, which felt like navigating through a driving test.

I had another great stay at the hotel. The breakfast was delicious, as always, with a wide variety of options to choose from, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The location is excellent, and since I've stayed here many times before, I was already familiar with how convenient it is to get around. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment after a long day of travel. The bed was simply amazing. Super comfy! The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay, and I look forward to coming back again!

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, and there’s honestly nothing I could complain about or suggest for improvement. If the prices and discounts became more affordable, especially during peak times, I would happily extend my stay and enjoy the experience even more.

Ramadan 13 th - 22nd March 2025 Group of four ladies. From South Africa Alghamdullilah All thanks and praise to our Generous Creator for facilitating ease for us. Arrived in Makkah at hotel approximately 12:15 noon. Reception advised that we could leave our luggage with the concierge. They would contact us if the room is ready before 4 pm. We made use of the prayer room for thur salaah and to take a rest. Shortly after 2 pm we were given access to our room. Alghamdullilah, it was as requested. Light and airy . Beds was good size and very comfortable. Bathroom was good. Shower has a fixed panel , could be improved with a sliding enclosure. Room cleaning, top up of toiletries , clean towels and beverages supplied daily. Aura in hotel one of calmness. Lifts operating swiftly Alghamdullilah. Staff from reception to cleaning was always pleasant and helpful to assist with everything. Our transport from Makkah to Madina was arranged and negotiated at a good rate by the concierge. Location, not in walking distance to gharam. However we found it to be a plus for transportation to gharam. Busses were frequent and empty as this was starting point. Taxi's were readily available at hood rates 20 riyal per trip. Was our preferred means , no stopping or waiting for bus to fill up. Coming back after taraweegh via the bus services can be a bit of a challenge. However, try to wait at least for an hour or more. Have a meal or shop. Thank you Makarem for providing us with a pleasant stay. Will recommend this hotel to others.

Breakfast was good giid variety, and the restaurant manager was great.

The shuttle bus should have a schedule as we were not sure what time it would be there, but overall, it was frequent bus service before and aftee each Salah and take 5 min to reach Bus stop that is almost 7 min walk away.

The hotel is very clean and staff is amazing.. All the services provided right on time..

The shuttle bus needs improvement. In my opinion there should be two busses so that every 15 mins there is bus available instead of every 30 minutes..

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times now and this is my only go to hotel in makkah. the beds and pillows are comfortable rooms are spacious and lighting is cozy not bright in the room that helps build a relaxing atmosphere. the breakfast is really nice, staff are accommodating and always provide prompt needs. the bus shuttle to the Haram is always there for you and only takes 6minutes to arrive near the haram by swissotel. the rooms and beds are very nice to same standard as the 5 star hotels in the clock tower, the price is more reasonable I recommend people book this hotel to get more for their money than going near the Haram and paying extortionate prices.

In the Juniour Suite the plug sockets are not near the bed, which is a good thing as it is better to sleep away from phones due to the radiation emitted from phones being too close by.

1. Customer service is really good. Especially the receptionist they answer call 24/7 and help with anything you need. 2. The room is clean and comfortable (but not upto the standard of a 5 star hotel. You get what you pay). 3. The floor man was nice. He will clean your room every day if you need/ask. He will replenish everything (i.e: towel, tea, coffee, water bottle, toilet tissue, etc ) 4. There are a few shops (gift shops and grocery) in hotel reception but they are very expensive compared to outside. 5. There is a mosque in the hotel and restaurant (which i did not use as it is expensive).

1. Location was a bit far from Al Heram . Although they have shuttle bus to Al Heram (they say every 30 to 40 minutes) but in reality you have to wait longer than that and bus time table are not fixed. You don't know what time the next bus is until you wait and bus shows up. And Bus not gonna start until it is almost full. Then bus will drop you off half way , from there you have to get on a different bus, which will drop you off at bus stop near Heram. For a family with kids and elderly it is difficult. I used Taxi most of the times , which is more convenient. 2. Bathroom is not very clean. Not up to the standard of 3 star hotel in UK.

Always an extraordinary experience. First floor was recently renovated and we got a Quadruple room there Alhamdolillah. Unfortunately only one keycard; as Mr. Barakaat explained at the counter but he's a helping personality. Thank you very much, we'll definitely look forward to coming again (as hotel prices are going high) and will recommend it to everyone who needs a special stay. Kudai Bus stop is walking 8 minutes which has FREE buses to Haram round the clock! You can use the hotel Shuttle as well to reach Kudai bus station, but that's really time consuming and not that frequent :(

Hotel Shuttle is not very frequent and time consuming as it waits a long time at Hotel before leaving for Kudai Bus station and vice versa. Hope this can be improved.
