The hotel is in a prime location not far from the Friedrichstrasse, Oranienburger Tor and Hackescher Markt train stations. Museum Island is a 1-minute walk away and there are numerous cafés and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The interior is high quality, the bed is comfortable and the shower is very good.
However, the staff at breakfast was so overwhelmed and inattentive that after a while we decided to have breakfast in a nearby café even though breakfast was included in the overnight price. There are plenty of options around and I would personally recommend not to have brekkie at the hotel tbh. Also, they don’t have bikes, which is a huge bummer compared to other hotels in Berlin like Das Stue etc. They would not even organize bikes for you even if you’d ask if it was possible.

The hotel has a wonderful design with spacious rooms and the service is incredibly kind. The hotel has a British vibe, which adds to its charm. The location is also great as it is close to everything - Alexanderplatz, the Reichstag, and I didn't even need to use public transport. I was impressed by how clean the hotel is, and I particularly loved the parquet floors in the rooms. It's a relief to not have carpets, as they can be quite bothersome. What I appreciated the most was how quiet the hotel was. I have stayed in numerous hotels before and noise is always a complaint, but here, it was a pure pleasure to sleep undisturbed.
The only suggestion I have is that the shower could benefit from a stronger water flow and hotter temperature.

I booked two rooms one for my Chair and the other for my stay. We both loved the hotel! This place was dark and moody [not for everybody as it can be difficult to see in the hallways and rooms], beautifully renovated and decorated, comfortable, quiet, ultra cool, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, lots of history, excellent location [close to a lot of things you might want to see, eat, drink, do]. The food was lovely in the restaurant and in the Diesel Haus, their other restaurant at the back of the hotel (make sure you check it out). One thing to note we were there on a holiday weekend so this may have affected everything I experienced from reading other reviews I've read that were not so positive, but overall was an absolutely lovely stay. Not to mention the vintage market that happens on the weekends just over the bridge... bonus!
I didn't like that the toilet was not attached to the bathroom and there was no hand soap in it or the bathroom. Also it took me several tries to figure out how all of the switches worked. I'm familiar with master switches but all of the other switches were a little confusing, but I finally mastered them.

I can't imagine a better location for exploring Berlin on foot. Steps from the Spree river, you can easily get to many of Berlin's major sites. The walk along Monbijou Park and the river is so scenic, cute coffee shops and restaurants abound, and it's well connected to trams and subways. The hotel is very stylish, very friendly and thoughtful staff, and a great cocktail bar and restaurant. Super lively bar scene, yet the rooms were quiet.
This is more my problem (50+ year old eyes) but the rooms are fairly dark, which makes a nice vibe, but it can be a bit tough for reading etc. For business travellers something to be aware if you need more light. For leisure, it's great!

Fantastic place to stay as a tourist in Berlin. The hotel was a walkable distance to museum island. It was close to public transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice that the hotel had a restaurant onsite; after our international flight we not have to have to find a place for dinner the front desk was able to make us a reservation at the restaurant. I hope to return to Berlin someday. If I do; I would unquestionably stay here again.
No soap for the sink in the room with the toilet.

We had a perfect weekend there! It was such a beautiful Hotel with extrem friendly staff and very delicious food! I would really recommend everyone to go there. The Gym is a real Studio and the Dr. Emi Spa is also very nice!! Every corner of this Hotel was designed with so much detail! Its located very central, you just need to walk a few seconds to get to bars, restaurants and shopping. I‘m from Berlin myself and sometimes treat myself by staying at a hotel with friends for the WE. I‘ve been in a few luxury hotels in Berlin but this „young hotel (it‘s very new) was the Best one I‘ve been to.

Beautiful hotel and a really nice location.
In my experience staff didn’t provide adequate service for the level of the hotel and weren’t particularly kind. In a similar hotel across other capitals of Europe, staff would be kinder and more attentive. Also I felt there wasn’t enough staff, only having 1 or 2 people max at the front desk and the door.

The hotel is super friendly, quiet, and very clean. Great location in Berlin. The rooms are super friendly and the bed is super comfortable.
The only slightly annoying thing is that the gym cannot be reached through the hotel, you need to go outside. The hotel staff did not provide me with a good description of how to reach the gym and I could not find it easily, they should have a plan printed out to show guests exactly how to reach the gym. In the gym, I was informed that the staff should have called that a guest was coming over. The gym itself is super nice and the staff there was very friendly.

Loved the ambiance of the hotel, the amenities, the bar, the design...it was all so beautiful. The history of the property is fascinating and seeing the remnants of its former life as the crucial Berlin telegraph centre was really cool. Loved (!) the elevators and the theme.
Our room was pretty warm - the staff were super receptive to resolving it but we did end up sleeping with the window open most nights.
