The gorgeous views and picturesque surroundings cannot be beat here! The town itself is very cute as well. Comfortable beds and kitchen to cook breakfast in the morning. The hot tub shaped like a boat and sauna were a hit! And my kids were in love with the dog and arctic fox!!who live on the property—both are very friendly. This will definitely be a core memory.

A couple minor things—a few updates to the kitchen furniture would be nice as well as bathroom. Extra hooks in bathroom would be nice as well. Lastly, if you have any mobility issues, this is probably not the place for you. Both bedrooms were in the upstairs which requires you to climb a steep ladder (also not the most convenient if you use the bathroom a lot like myself).

The location was superb! The cottages were adorable, however, the bathroom seemed quite small. Also, no toiletries. The area was stunning, especially with the cool boat hot tub. Also, the resident dog was a joy to meet. Never spoke to anyone. Paid on Booking.com, and picked up info at check in booth. Was directed to a certain cabin number on a note, went to the unlocked cabin and the key was inside. Left with the key inside when we left.

I hadn't realized that anyone traveling in a camper van could stop here and use the facilities. (Laundry, sauna, showers and hot tub) The hot tub had many people in it and I came to realize that everyone in it was not staying in a cabin, but a camper van parked right in front of our cottage. Apparently in the non summer months this is allowed. However, with how much I paid for a cottage it would have been nice for us to not be cramped in a hot tub with so many people that weren't paying as much as I paid for this special feature. Luckily, everyone we met in the tub were very nice and a joy to talk to.

Wow amazing!!!! The boat shaped hot tub was one of the best things of the property!!! We dipped in right as we checked in! Lovely stay lovely rooms! The next morning we woke up to see other tourist playing with a wild fox! So cute and amazing how it isn’t afraid of humans

Nothing really bad to say except there is a slight smell when first entering the lobby, but we were told by MANY locals that Iceland is not known for its food, so it could just be someone’s dinner. Overall the stay was amazing! Would love to rent a cabin next time we have more people!

The property was stunning and the surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous. We also got to see an incredibly cute and playful artic fox. This was a dream come true for both of us! The hosts were so lovely and helpful. Our rental car broke down en route to the cabin. We had to wait for it to be repaired by a mechanic which we were advised would take 5hours. I called to let the host know we would be late checking in and to apologise. I thought this meant our stay would be cancelled but the lady was so lovely and offered to change our stay date so we could enjoy the lodge for longer. We are both so grateful for this kind offer and the generosity and understanding from the hosts. We are already planning on returning to Iceland so we can stay for longer at this property because we loved it so much.

There was nothing. Everything was perfect.

That was just one of the most beautiful places I ever rent. The whole area and fiord were extremely beautiful and peaceful. Is super worth it to turn out of the route 1 to stop there. The little house was beautiful, from outside was the cutest cottage ever. And from inside was small but just great, was extremely clean and well equipped with everything that was needed. The beds were comfortable, and the little kitchen was enough to cook some little thing. The hot tub in this beautiful surrounding was cool! And the visit of this little fox around the area was just SOMETHING ELSE! I will definitely come back when I have the chance

The only thing I regret is that we didn't went with enough time to enjoy the surroundings

Interesting breathtaking place, near ocean, we were listening to the ocean waves, wind all night, beautiful architecture of holiday homes, If there will be better aquipments in kitchen or more plates it will be great, because in the morning we should wait for making tea for the cups. Room and bathroom in the main building were a little bit older, but still clean and cozy, warm room and we feeling welcome. Also the bottle of water was waiting for us and the paper with my name, the checkin way and the map of area. Very pleasant experience for us,thank you.

The location of the cottage and the views are absolutely amazing. The cottage was very clean and beds were very comfy. We also enjoyed the boat hot tub!

Only a minor point. We stayed in a cottage for 4 people but only had 3 plates and limited glasses. Some extra or new crockery and glasses would be nice. The decor is a little dated inside but you can tell the cottages are well loved and well taken care of.

Property was beautiful and cabins clean. Hot tub was cute and we loved having a washer/dryer available. Kids especially enjoyed the dog and fox hanging around the cabins.

Steps leading up to the loft were quite steep and hard to get luggage up/down. Also food options in the area were quite limited later in the day. (Pizza restaurant was closed when we were there)

Everything was amazing, the best part besides the location was the baby artic fox. He is so playful and sweet. The mom got killed by a hunter and the owner/employees are taking care of him.

They provide equipment to make coffee (water boiler and French press) but no sugar packets. We went to a local store and got milk and coffee, store didn’t have granulated sugar. We had hoped they would have some somewhere and there wasn’t any. Everything else was amazing

We loved the cottage! We stopped at Bonus in Egilsstadir on the way and picked up supplies to make dinner, it was nice to make dinner and have cocktails in the cottage kitchen and not have to leave again. Very cozy eating soup and bread and listening to the wind howl! We loved being in the cute boat hot pot and walking around the beautiful surroundings. Comfy beds! We only stayed one night, next time we will stay longer!

Next time I come to Mjoeyri cottages I will get the cottage with the bedroom on the ground floor, the ladder was very steep and after a couple of Icelandic vodkas I was scared I was going to kill myself on it.
