All forms of public transportation you need to get around are right at your doorstep! The staff was very helpful in accommodating my room requests and even assisted with sending my luggage to my next hotel. There's also a mall with a movie theater right next door. We actually caught a film that was at the end of its run, and it was such a nice feeling to have just a short walk "home" afterward. One of the clever touches I really appreciated was how they handled drinking water. Instead of providing bottled water, each room came with a reusable flask you could refill with cold, filtered water from a machine located in a dedicated room on your floor. Paper cups were also provided in that room, and of course, there were the usual glasses in the room as well. I actually missed this setup after moving to another hotel, where I had to keep asking the staff just to get more bottled water. 7-11, Lawson and Famima close by. There's even a large supermarket just a few minutes’ walk from the north exit (not the one inside Hiroshima Station), and it stays open late, which was incredibly handy. The room itself was a good size, with ample space for luggage and just relaxing. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay!

If I hadn’t read the comments, I wouldn’t have known there was no water provided in the room. I would have needed to make another trip to the convenience store to get a water bottle. Thankfully, I brought a bottle along, so I could quickly refill it before heading out to explore. The hotel didn’t have a coin laundry on its premises, which was a hassle. There was no option for a foam pillow—the pillow was either too hard or too soft, so I didn’t get a good night’s sleep. I got a good deal on my room because I booked before the hotel opened. I checked the price later since I was considering staying there again, but it seemed too high, even for the convenience. I will probably reconsider staying there if better options with more value for money become available.

When I arrived to the Hotel I found out that I lost my bag with all of my important things, however Makiko, one of front office team, is very kind to me by assist me to contact with all JR lost & found. She tracking everything and give me all her support to me, which is impressive for me However, the room might be too new so there’s lot of dust when we inform front office team, house keeper team clean up for us which is much better. Location is the best the department store and near JR line + Shinkansen. Super!!

Location location During the summer season when it’s so hot and humid It makes a difference when you are located close to the station I would recommend this to those family with young kids Lots of eats and shops within the station and good ones too?

Great location. Right on top of the train station. Comfortable rooms and a great restaurant. Would recommend for a quick stay at Hiroshima if you (like me) intend to visit the memorial and Miyojima island. Breakfast buffet is exceptional and would recommend!

The location is very convenient if you want to spend a few nights in Hiroshima & to explore Miyajima or Iwakuni. Our room was small but comfortable & the big picture window made it light & bright. Because the hotel is above the station, there are numerous options for breakfast & other meals so we didn’t use their dining room. There is a great cafe for coffee & pastries on the right as you exit the hotel They have a large separate room for left luggage in which you can lock up your bags which is, as far as we know, unique to this hotel. The trams into the city are a 5 minute walk away.

It was a little hard to find amid the myriad exits of the station. A few more signs would go a long way.

The service at this hotel was the best we got on our trip this year. Everyone on the staff is extremely friendly. Shipping lugage was spotless, no self-service style. You're fully helped by the staff. We had rooms on the 17th floor, no noise at all from the train station below. Breakfast is very extensive and really well tasting. And again with great staff. Location is perfect if you want to do train trips to Itsukushima and Fukuoka like we did.

Rooms are quite small, surprised me a bit since the hotel building is big.

The stuff was amazing, they were nice and willing to help. The room was new and clean, every thing was just amazing and the view from the room left us with no words. The best thing tho was the location, you have a bullet train to the other big citys, a local train and many buss stations, also there the hotle is inside of a big shopping area and lots of restaurants as well as 7 eleven and starbucks. I highly suggest staying in this hotle when coming to visit hiroshima.

At first it was really hard to find the hotle because google maps can’t direct you to it and there is another hotle with the same name but with out the “south gate” so it got us really confused. But other then that when we found it using people in the area it we were very pleased.

Hotel Granvia Hiroshima by far, was the best hotel we stayed at in Japan, not including the Ryokans. The Hotel Granvia Hiroshima was located right next to the Hiroshima Train station, and the hotel elevator would take you to JL train station level. Be impressed not surprised when you find out that the reception desk is on the 7th floor. The staff was exceptional in their efforts to help us navigate luggage transfers and travel by train and bus destinations. The hotel is elegantly designed, and even though the rooms are smaller than what we are accustomed to, it is also designed efficiently and beautifully . If we travel to Japan again or any international travel, Granvia Hotels would be our first choice. This Hotel chain is highly recommended for an elegant and highly rewarding hotel experience.

None at all... the Hotel was exceptional!

The location above the station was perfect for us, as we arrived by Shinkansen and stayed 2 nights before departing by Shinkansen again. From here, you can walk to the main sights in the city, or take the tube anywhere. The hotel is also situated above the Minamoa mall, so it’s very easy to get food or do shopping. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. We really liked that the shower and toilet are separate rooms. The hotel just opened, so it has all the high-tech features, such as a smart TV and convenient self check-in. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They helped with everything, including the luggage forwarding. They always greeted us with a smile.

We liked everything

This Hotel directly above the Hiroshima station was luxurious, quiet and extraordinary. The service orientation was worldclass, the rooms outstanding and the price still affordable. The strategic location made it possible to come from Kyoto in the morning, leave the luggage there, see Miyajima and Hiroshima in one day, stay there overnight and use the first Shinkansen up north in the next morning. And indulge in affordable luxury in between.
