It is a lovely glamping site. Guests stay in tents or wagons. It is located conveniently in Colorado City close to the Grand Canyon, Kanab or Zion. We chose to stay here as a base to visit the different National and state parks. We never met the owner, but we got detailed instructions how to open the tents, use the sauna or the other facilities. Whenever we had a question or wish, we could reach out and got a quick and helpful answer. I loved the homely feeling of the place. It has been built with a lot of love and care. The sauna is lovely on a cold winter evening to heat up and stay cosy. In the office there is a coffeemaker, a microwave and utensils for cooking. Coffee, tea bag, creamer and water is provided. The showers have shampoo and shower gel. Everything was spotless and we had everything we needed.

There is currently a construction site next door. As we were out the whole day, it did not bother us much. What we did not realise, how cold it gets in winter. We had temperatures below freezing and that was a bit tough while staying in tents. There is a heater, but it does not heat up the tent well. We were provided extra blankets on request, so that helped in staying warm and cosy.

This place is a gem and a glamping dream! Aesthetically, this little spot really is Pinterest perfect. The commons area provided all the little extras we may have forgotten. There is even an electric car charger!!! (This completely surprised me) If clean bathrooms and HOT HOT water are your thing - DSR hits the spot!! But, my favorite was the ambiance while sitting on the deck while the sun was going down and enjoying an iced cold beverage. So grateful for it being dog friendly, wished we could have stayed one more night. (July 8-9, 2023).

Softer sheets.

We arrived after dark in winter, after restaurants in the town had closed. Our host helped us through everything we needed by phone, and in Bee's Market we found all we needed for a fine evening meal.

In winter, the cold is the challenge in a tent. We were satisfied with blankets and a heater. We never got the temperature inside the tent above 49 degrees, but we were fine.

The views were beautiful. Blankets were very warm especially considering how cold it was. Bathrooms were very clean. Rustic in a good way.

The housing development next to the property. People were playing loud music 2 nights. Kind of ruined the ambiance when trying to enjoy the fire and stars.

One of the best views of any camping grounds in the world. Everything was super well organised and very clean. A very unique experience. As we visited in off season we were almost the only ones there, which made it even more unique!

The staff was phenomenal. After converting me from Desert Sage to Gooseberry retreat they did everything in their power to make sure the transition was as smooth and as possible. The facility was excellent and so were the provisions.

Loved the entire experience most especially being able to stay in a wagon & tents. Traveled with my girlfriend and family and we all enjoyed it. Everything was very clean and the Mountain View and as amazing. Thank you for the hospitality.

Just a bit cold at night in the wagon/tents but other than that it was great. Loved sitting outdoors by the fire to keep warm before bed.

Considering it was a Glamping place, the owner did an excellent job in making sure that everything needed was available and more. Space Heater, powered restrooms (not like those pumped shower and toilets found in other glamping places), etc. Place was very clean, well maintained. And the backdrop was very beautiful. There is also a Tesla Level 2 charger. The owner was also very friendly. There is also a Grill, fireplace at each tent/wagon.

Nothing to dislike

Lovely location and very well equipped with everything you need for a camping experience. Unfortunately the weather was not good so we didn’t manage to use the barbecue however you can find it all the amenities to cook your food.

To be honest, everything was perfect!
