We stayed for one night on Saturday 9th November. We were made very welcome by the lovely lady at reception. She gave us some great ideas for where to eat in Spalding. Our room was spotless, bedsheets were clean, towels were lovely and soft and the heating was on. Room was toasty warm. We had no downsides or complaints except the breakfast. The fried egg was not runny, it was as if it had been sitting on a hotplate for a good while. Other than that it was delicious xx Thank you. We will be returning xx

Really spacious room with well chosen furniture and restful decor. Good quality bedding and every room amenity you could possibly need. Well stocked tea tray, piping hot shower and wonderfully welcoming staff who went the extra mile. We also enjoyed breakfast within our rate. Plenty of parking and a short walk into town.

As it’s a traditional period property, guests in the Executive rooms may benefit from taking ear plugs if they wish to sleep in a little, as although the rooms are generally super quiet the corridor and bedroom floorboards are wonderfully creaky which may wake lighter sleepers if other guests are up early. A very minor point.

We really liked this hotel, and if staying in Spalding, it's worth the 5 mins walk down the road. There was an issue with our room, which was dealt with by the staff to our satisfaction. It's a nice old building which has the inevitable slight defects, but we very much enjoyed our stay and will return should the need arise again.

Very clean bedroom . Lovely furniture in bedroom. Great selection for breakfast , cooked was really nice . Staff very nice and helpful. Extra tea , coffee and milk delivered to us . Lovely and warm bedroom .

First bedroom , extractor not working , could smell bathroom as soon as we opened door ,we were . Immediately moved to a different room , which was fine ! Carpets on stairs and paint needs revamping !

A fine old house, with character. Exceptionally friendly staff, ready to help with any requests. A well-stocked bar in the television lounge beside reception.

No lift, but not to be expected either in this type of property - and the staff member on duty was more than willing to carry heavy suitcases up for us. The mattress was a bit lumpy and the bathroom is due for modernisation, but the room was quiet and clean.

The location was excellent for our visit to exhibition centre. Did not have cooked breakfast but good choice of fruit, cereal and yogurt etc

Though the room and bathroom were clean the decor was a little tired, especially shower door and tiles were not sealed. Corridor air fresheners were overpowering

The breakfast was very tasty. The times were 7-9 which was good. There weren't any evening meals except for regular guests, but, the manager supplied takeaway menus and, made the phone call and then went and collected it. The fact they offered to phone for a takeaway in the evening was refreshing. The cost of the takeaway was added to the bill, and a table was set up in the bar for us to eat.

There were no evening meals catered for. Only regular guests that stay Mon to Fri were catered for.

Very friendly staff reception went out of her way very good she gave same breakfast cereals for the morning as I had to start work early as I'm a lorry driver she put wrap to keep it fresh for the morning comfortably bed's I would go there again

Booked a single and was given a double at no extra cost, nice clean room. lovely comfy bed and really good breakfast cooked to order.

ground floor room was close to the function room where a party was going on, hence a little noisy but bearable.

Facilities in the room were good. Iron, Hairdryer and toiletries all provided. Plenty of power outlets. Curtains kept early morning light out, even in midsummer. Great location with only 10 minute walk into Town but sufficiently off the high Street to have minimal road and street noise even on ground floor

Plumbing needs updating. Toilet didn't flush well. Tried small button and large button and neither worked well. Had to use both together but still not satisfactory. Soundproofing could be better. Heard a lot of noise from room above at around 6am on Sunday morning.
