The staff are friendly and welcoming. Our room was light, bright and spacious. The furnishings were good with quality curtaining and bed linen. The mattress was softer than our own but comfortable. The evening menu offered varied choices. My steak and ale pie was exceptionally good, home made and served with fresh vegetables. English breakfast was freshly cooked to order. The village is quiet and peaceful. The inn is opposite the church whose bells chime every hour. Fortunately the sound within the bedroom was adequately muffled by the curtains. We enjoyed an evening stroll around the village, which is important for us at the end of a long day on the roads The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with easy parking. Rooms have their own entrance door because they are converted from former stabling and look like little cottages. This does mean that you have to walk outside to reach the bars and restaurant. I recommend the Bull Inn as a hidden escape from the bustle and traffic, but just a short detour from the motorway. We would certainly choose to stay here again.
There really wasn't anything to not like. I would have felt safer getting in and out of the shower, which is in a deep bath, if there had been a handrail on the wall. I believe that other rooms have separate showers.

We stayed to attending a fabulous wedding at Irnham Hall. Room was clean and cosy even though spacious! Comfy bed with beautiful white sheets. Fluffy white towels in the bathroom, with lovely complimentary toiletries. Also plenty of drink options in room too! Thought of most things you need for a fabulous stay. Rooms are on ground floor and away from the main building so very peaceful. It’s set in very pretty village and pub has wonderful gardens. Amazing breakfast, we had a great view of the church from our breakfast tablet. Landlord was very friendly and made us so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back to stay and explore area more. Thank you.

A friendly hotel, with excellent facilities that are pet friendly. Arrived at 4pm on Thursday 08/05/25 with the option of using the key safe to collect our room key or wait 5 mins for Leon to arrive. We waited for Leon who then showed us room 5 that was spacious and comfortable with an outstanding bathroom. The restaurant was closed that venting but Leon had arranged for a Mexican street vendor to be in the Car Park to serve the Bull Inn guests.

A very pleasant stay. Comfortable room, free adjacent parking and lovely food in the evening and for breakfast from very pleasant staff who are clearly experienced hoteliers.
Only minor comments: the floor length thermal curtains keep out the light but hanging in front of the radiator trap the heat behind so it's chilly in cold weather at night with them closed. Windowsill length ones are better. Some blinds or nets might also improve privacy in the day in these ground floor rooms too. Some people will love the church clock bell that never misses the top of hour 24/7, but others won't... sometimes felt a bit like Quasimodo - "the bells, the bells!!"

I loved how the rooms were separate from the pub. I thought they were really cute and quaint. There was no noise which is not something you'd expect staying at a pub. The staff where really friendly. The rooms were warm. The showers temps were easy to control with great water pressure. Super dog friendly. Really accommodating place. Breakfast was included and it was gorgeous infact all the food was really tasty. The Landlord went out of his way to ensure we were welcomed including the dog also ensuring we had plenty of coffee and milk for our rooms.
The beds weren't very comfortable. Could maybe do with a mattress topper?

✅ Dog friendly and no extra charge for him to stay 😁 ✅ Lovely friendly staff - fell welcome as soon as we arrived ✅ Individual room with own external entrance to the building, so could come and go when I wanted with my dog without disturbing anyone else. ✅ Able to park right outside the window of my bedroom (plenty of parking space). Small room but fine for a solo traveler. ✅ Full English breakfast at no extra charge Would definitely stay again

We booked to stay here, just the day before, on our way back from our NE England and York Trip. We wanted to stay flexible as we were visiting places along the way. We were not disappointed - We were greeted with a very warm welcome and the Husband and Wife team who recently took over this establishment couldn't have made our stay any better. The room was very comfortable with crisp fresh linen and fluffy towels, plenty of room, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in room and everything we needed for a good nights sleep. The rooms were in a lovely courtyard at the back of the main pub with a covered entrance leading directly to the restaurant and bar area for breakfast and evening meal which we thoroughly enjoyed. We heard some lovely stories of the local area and how they came to take over the pub and accommodation after retiring up this way. They both had the experience and the local community are very supportive of them both too. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Bull for its location to visit the neighbouring area and countryside which is beautiful.
There is nothing we didn't like - everything was great and would stay again

Accommodation was comfortable, clean and quiet. The manager was very good. Gave great customer service and made us feel very welcome. We were invited for a nightcap after our evening meal and introduced to local people who were very friendly. The pub was lovely. Such a shame that it is closing.
The fact that this was the last week the pub would be trading.

Lovely rural location. The rooms were separate from the pub, a purpose built room and en-suite, ground floor - own porch and seating area outside. Lovely hosts- friendly, breakfasts & evening meals delicious. Slightly more expensive meals than some pubs but definitely worth it . Breakfast cooked to order, advised night before approx time we wanted to eat - didn’t wait long and cooked breakfast was served. Pub was a lovely local , people very friendly. We’d definitely stay again.
Nothing to not like!

We stayed one night with our dogs. Our room was on the ground floor and opened directly onto the car parking which was convenient for the dogs. The room itself had been recently refurbished and was clean, quiet & well euipped with very comfortbale beds. Breakfast was excellent and food in the evening looked good (we had eaten earlier). The evening we stayed the but wasnt too busy but it was freindly. Would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay and had no issues
