I had such a lovely and peaceful stay at the Majestic Hotel. I was lucky enough to have a room with a balcony—my first ever!—and the views were absolutely incredible: the North Atlantic Ocean, a tranquil lake, rolling green hills, and charming little houses that reminded me of Norway. The floor-to-ceiling windows made it all feel so expansive and cinematic. The bed was unbelievably comfortable—probably the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. It felt like I was being cocooned in clouds. The room itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, with comfortable chairs, a lovely little table by the window, and plenty of storage space. I especially appreciated the peaceful, elegant atmosphere of the room—it really helped me unwind. The staff were exceptional—incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful throughout my stay. From the warm and helpful reception team, to the friendly breakfast and bar staff, everyone made me feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious, with a lovely cooked option and buffet selection too. And I loved relaxing in the lounge area with its royal blue decor, electric fireplace, and refreshing infused water (sometimes cucumber, sometimes lemon and mint—such a nice touch after a walk outside!). The location is perfect. The beach is just a short walk along the promenade, there’s an Aldi within walking distance for evening snacks or salads, and a bus stop right outside the hotel, with connections to the Doneraile Trail and other local attractions. The Dublin Airport coach stops literally opposite the hotel when arriving, and the return stop is just a few minutes’ walk away—incredibly convenient. Overall, it was such a beautiful, relaxing, and memorable stay. I would absolutely return, and I highly recommend the Majestic Hotel if you’re visiting Tramore.
The only minor downside was the shower pressure, which was a bit low—but the water was always warm and lovely, so it didn’t bother me much. Honestly it’s such a minor thing.

The staff were excellent - at the reception and in the dining room. Dinner in the evening was really good and well presented. I particularly enjoyed the medley of desserts. The cleanliness was noticeably good throughout the hotel and was exceptional in the bedroom and bathroom. I thought the decor was tastefully done throughout.
Very strong and noticeable cigarette smoke smell on the second floor bedroom corridor. This wouldn't usually be a bother but I felt it was particularly strong and unpleasant. I felt the chairs in the bedroom, while of good quality and design, were just not comfortable. There were two chairs that fell between the 'armchair' and plush 'dining room chair' type categories. They're not the sort of chair that encourages relaxation while watching TV in the room. Comfortable armchairs in the bedrooms would go a long way to adding to a guest's relaxation when on holiday.

We had an excellent stay. I was with my husband & small kids, as well as my parents, siblings & their partners. The hotel was spotless. The staff were all very helpful & friendly. We had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant with beautiful sea views. We had lots of space for the kids & the staff were lovely to them. Breakfast on both mornings was really good, with lots of options. The hotel is a very short stroll to all the amenities that Tramore has to offer. It’s a great place to stay.
We liked everything. If I had to pick something, I would say the family room we stayed in was a little small for us. Our buggy wouldn’t fit in the room but there was plenty of space in the hall outside for it: we didn’t mind doing this but some parents may have issue with it.

The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the pancakes. The maitre de went out of his way to be helpful when we wanted a table for 6 and the bar was very busy. He sorted us out and looked after us well.
The kitchen found itself overstretched and food took a while to be served. But we were warned and were happy to accept this. We would have like to be warned the kitchen was closing. We enjoyed our mains but were looking forward to a dessert.

Had a lovely time!! From the location to the facilities and the food we enjoyed it all! Bar food was lovely, we had the fish and chips. The location is brilliant fir strolling down to the beach. We had a sea view room and the view was stunning. Breakfast was a lovely mix of fruits, cereals, baked pastries, compote yogurt and fresh flapjacks, to hot food including eggs, sausages, rashers, potatoes, tomatoes and more,.we loved the selection. Staff were lovely, and the room had everything we needed. I've stayed there twice, and would definitely stay again!

Staff were professional and kind. Lovely atmosphere from everyone - front desk team, bar staff and restaurant. All exceptional! Location was perfect, Japanese gardens was only a short walk away.. beach and lake were just beautiful to be right beside. Lunch and dinner was fantastic! The Fish was by far the best 10/10! Room was really nice and comfortable, bed was great! Everything was really clean and tidy. Honestly everyone and the whole experience was just lovely.
Tv was poor, not many stations and the ones that did work were cutting in and out* No HDMI at the back of the TV which was a shame as we couldn't hookup a laptop or console while it was raining outside. Would definitely get hdmi ports accessible for guests, but thats only a suggestion. Breakfast wasn't particularly great but may have been our own fault for getting down at 9.50am..though the Food was cold and coffee wasn't great. But none of these are anything to keep me from coming back, in fact I'd only skip out on breakfast to Vees cafe or similar and quickly get back for the fantastic food, drinks and atmosphere! Really lovely location and stay.

We arrived in the evening, the receptionist was extremely polite, friendly, and kind to my 5 year old son - he was running around the lobby as he had never been in a hotel before so he was excited. We were upgraded to a sea view room with a balcony, courtesy of the hotel. This was a huge surprise and also a highlight of our stay as we woke up to an amazing view. The balcony also allowed me to smoke without having to go back downstairs every time - a rare treat in my experience. The room (and hotel in general) was extremely clean, a nice temperature, and quite comfortable.
My one negative comment, though not anything of concern, is that the TV in the room didn't work. I probably could have asked about it in reception, and I'm sure something could've been done about it, but ad I said it wasn't a concern of mine so I left it alone.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, from the receptionist on our arrival to the bar and waiting staff at our evening meal and the breakfast staff. They all went over and above to help us in every way and we found their attitude and attention to their jobs was excellent and really nice to see. They all seemed to enjoy what they were doing and each staff member had a huge smile on their faces which is a great reflection on the hotel. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and the atmosphere around the hotel was very peaceful. The room was lovely and spacious and very warm.
There was nothing we didn't like or had a problem with.

The location is beautiful and close to centre of everything + wonderful sea views from the front of the hotel busy
we ate in the bar - our meal wasn’t good ,both were just warm ,mine was very disappointing +a dry piece of chicken ,veg + lukewarm mushroom sauce in a jug ..The waiters were very few and very bus at the bar .not their fault. 4* breakfast .. Not this time !! No pastries .croissants or anything continental and we ate early 9:15am but the basket remained empty …pity as I was hungry following unappetising bar food the evening before…Big wedding the precious night + hotel busy but No excuse .
