Excellent fast wifi. Although reasonably small, the room was well thought out, with excellent use of space, including bench top space for cosmetics and toiletry, and good hanging and shelf and drawer space and hooks for items. The was still enough space for me to fit my yoga mat and do some yoga, which was all I wanted. The bed was very comfortable. The air con was quiet and worked well. The shower was excellent. Breakfast was great. Location was fantastic.

Only slight negative for me was lack of tea making facilities in the room. Also lack of communication prior to arrival- I had tried to email staff about my late arrival, but no reply- and when I did arrive, staff didn't answer intercom for 5 minutes and I was stuck on the street being unsure if I could enter the hotel. (check in area is not visible from the room as is on level 4) Luckily other people staying at then hotel were also outside and offered me reassurance- I would have been very stressed if they were not there.

Love the hotel, super clean. Great location about 5 mins walking to most places. We took the train a lot whenever we were going out or going to dinner, but a lot of locations were walking distance. There’s a convenient 7-Eleven literally right outside. I like how there is a tablet provided where you can schedule your cleaning, control the TV, control the lighting. Also the bar is open 24 seven for food drinks, etc.. The hotel itself has many perks and amenities that are accessible to those who are staying also checking in and checking out were extremely easy.

The room that we booked was extremely small I mean. There was only two of us. We were literally crawling over one another just to get in and out of bed. there was no room for our suitcases so we did ask the staff to hold our suitcases while we stayed. Booked a king bed for 2 people, but the size of the rooms was ridiculously small. That would be my only reason for not booking again. Unless I was staying by myself. Honestly, the hotel location and a lot of the perks were awesome, but the size of the room would be my reason not to return.

very unique hipster vibes…the shower was very cool! we loved the mood lighting ;) The shades allowed for it to be completely dark during the day. the whole room can be controlled by the in room ipad, which made it feel very futuristic. The shared spaces (gym, room top seating, bar area) were very nice and felt European.

it was very small, I got major cruise ship vibes from the narrow room. That being said, it was very cozy and so unique that it didn’t bother us. there was also a huge draw under the bed that fit everything we had.

The hotel is as described, given it's central location the rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed, there was something quite special about the view from bed! Hotel is well located for main attractions in Chicago with everything (including the metro) within walking distance. We didn't have breakfast included but did have a couple of exceptional coffees and the croissants were also delicious. Hotel is a vibe.

Check in was un-necessary complex, it's self service stations which after a long flight is just a lot to deal with. That written there were friendly staff on hand, which does make me question why they make it self service.

The location was very convenient as the hotel is in the middle of downtown and you can get to most attractions very easily by walking or taking public transportation. As a solo traveller, I definitely recommend citizenM because of how convenient everything was. The room was nice and pretty and the blackout blinds helped me sleep really well at night. The night light option was interesting too.

The iPad that had the controls of most of the amenities in the room including the TV didn't work that well since I had to restart the TV using the iPad a few times for the Chromecast code to appear. The double room that I booked was perfect for me alone but might be too small for 2 guests. The price was a little high compared to other hotels nearby.

I've stayed at many CitizenM hotels and they are all Euro/Asia style with tiny confortable rooms and large public areas. I am used to that style due to traveling all over the world, but if a person expects a "normal" hotel room they will be quite shocked. Personally, I like the tight space, nice bed, good shower and public places to have a coffee and work.

Check in at CitizenM hotels is always slower than manual check in that is lower tech, which is a paradox I have yet to solve.

I’ve stayed at a CitizenM before and knew more or less what it was like. I loved the location of this one. The room….though small, was very well laid out and very functional. If there are two in the bed, one will need to climb over the other to get out of the bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the common areas. There were many spaces to relax and enjoy the fun, whimsical art lining the bookshelves and tables. I enjoyed controlling all the features in the room with the iPad (blinds, curtains, mood lighting, temperature, and television). The bed was large, clean, and comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I love how trendy the hotel was! The iPad in the room was so cool to control the entire room. Also the location of the hotel was great and the view was wonderful!

Technology is great but it’s frustrating when it doesn’t work. The tv allowed me to stream from my phone but did not have any volume on my second night. I could have called down for assistance but I was already in my PJS. I also loved how you could control the room temp on the iPad but it definitely didn’t go to the temp I set it to. I love a very cold hotel room and I still found myself too warm at times.

My room was incredible. High floor with a city view. My bed looked straight out onto Michigan Avenue. When I woke in the morning and opened the blinds, I was looking straight down Michigan Avenue towards Millenium Park. The room was very funky, fully blackout blinds ensured a great night's sleep. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the Loop and within walking distance of the attractions. I used to pop back to the room throughout the day, to charge my phone, use the loo, get money....it was so central. I loved it so much, I've booked a Citizen M hotel for my next city break. I didn't have breakie here so can't comment on it but it looked nice.

Nothing. I loved this really really cool hotel

The elevator was very quiet and, even though I was quite close, I couldn't hear it. The shower was great and output a good amount of water that could be cool or nice and toasty. Everyone I met who worked there was very friendly and could offer good suggestions on where to go out to eat or things to see. It's quite convenient for the Blue line from the airport, being an 8-minute walk from the station making the journey to-from there very convenient.

There isn't much sound insulation from outside so the constant horn blaring and emergency vehicles makes getting to sleep difficult. I was on the 15th floor and it didn't help. On that topic, a higher floor may not be of any benefit because the North side room I was in had nothing worth seeing out the window.
