I spent four nights at The Place Luxury Boutique Villas in Koh Tao, managed by Guy, and it was truly exceptional. The villas are beautifully designed, each with a private pool—offering absolute comfort and tranquility in the heart of nature, yet just minutes away from vibrant Sairee Beach. Guy has mastered the art of hospitality: he is always available to answer every question and provide recommendations, yet gives his guests total peace and privacy. He strikes the perfect balance between attentive service and discreet presence. I was particularly impressed by the property’s commitment to environmental protection, featuring waste sorting and filtered water provided in every villa. Food delivery menus are conveniently available, and Guy can arrange excellent local taxi services as well. I will definitely return for another stay at this wonderful place!

I would add a central light control button on the exit. The pool, because of its red colour, could be a little cleaner just for the impression but understandably in the jungle with leaves and sand it’s nearly impossible…

Very private, beautifully decorated, a really unusually exquisite place. And the view….. As there is a mosquito net and there was a pleasant breeze coming from the ocean, we slept with the doors all open. Listening to the Sounds of the forrest while falling asleep was something real Special.

Nothing. However: it’s not suitable for people who find climbing some stairs difficult. ( there might be a villa without stairs- ours had some). Depending on the direction of the wind you might hear Noise from Sairee Beach through The Valley coming up. It didn’t bother us though.

Fantastic secluded bungalow with lovely view and plunge pool. Only 10 minutes walk from sairee town, quicker of course on a scooter that you can rent directly from owner. Feels remote but you can get anywhere in 20 minutes or so on Koh Tao. Owner covered all needs and there’s attention to detail everywhere with lovely touches. Some things you may think obvious but you don’t get these most Thai places - coffee machine, drinking water tap, outside terrace fan, free snorkelling gear, shaving mirror, first aid kit, sewing kit, stocked fridge (if you can’t make trip to 7 eleven), anti mosquito burner for terrace, ample towels, Netflix if you’re bothered about turning on the TV. Bungalow feels very large, plenty of space and massive open and light shower room. Loved it!!! We will definitely be back in future. Guy, the owner very pleasant, charming and laid back. Thai staff lovely.

It’s difficult to add anything everyone else hasn’t mentioned already, our stay at The Place was perfect. Our villa was beautiful and bigger than I was expecting! The pools overlook an amazing view. The staff could not be more friendly and even helped my partner arrange flowers to be delivered for my birthday.

As already mentioned, the properties are up a massive hill which is good to be aware of. Also, food delivery was generally good but when the restaurants are busy, it can be hard to get a hold of them (which is not The Places fault, but again good to be aware of)

The villa is beautiful and cozy. Especially the light-flooded bathroom is very nice. The terrace with the pool and the view of the sea were just fantastic (with beautiful sunsets). Everything you need is there, including anti-mosquito incense and net over the bed, umbrellas, kitchen utensils and much more. You could rent scooters directly on site. The hosts are very friendly and gave us lots of tips for activities and restaurants. They also helped us book tours (great snorkeling tour). If we had any questions, we could always contact the hosts via Whatsapp. The location is also great, you don't need long to get to the main road and you are still in a very quiet area. In general, you have a lot of privacy here and can enjoy the magical sounds from the nature around. We also really liked the fact that sustainability is taken into account here (e.g. room cleaning only when required, drinking water filter, mindfulness towards animals). The stay was perfect all round and we would definitely come back.

we had a honeymoon villa for 10 nights. we almost didn't sleep at all because of the noise from the big geckos that crawled through holes and lived in pockets between the roof and wall and of course got into the room. We had to clean up their stinky excrement every day, which was almost everywhere (on the wall, on the floor) we couldn't wait the cleaning service will come. we go to Thailand every year and we are used to small geckos and we don't mind them, but these big ones shouldn't be inside such an expensive accommodation. and we definitely do not agree with Ksenia's argument that we live in the jungle and it is actually normal. at the same time, the solution is so simple, just cover all the big holes so that the big gecko doesn't get inside

Guy is a real mensch, and the staff were very gracious. The villa was beautiful and truly charming as well. Not much can beat waking up in the morning to chirping birds, tranquil sounds of nature, and an outstanding view of the sea and the jungle... except perhaps an evening dip in your private pool that overlooks the sun setting into the ocean in front of you. Either way, The Place Villa 8 has both, and trust me, you don't want to miss out! Guy came to greet us at the pier when we arrived, which was very helpful as the pier was full of hustle and bustle, and also arranged our cab to the pier when we left.

Aside from the fact that the lighting in the villa was a little lacking, it had a couple more cons. However, they are also just the other side of the coin when we mention The Place's pros: 1. On the one hand, The Place is a 10-minute walk uphill from the center of town and the beach, but that's also what enables The Place to be so peaceful and quiet. 2. The Place is right in the middle of nature, and we loved that! However, because of that, we got quite a few mosquitoes and ants and needed to make sure to leave the doors closed (glass doors). If you like nature, this is definitely the place for you! (We sure loved it)

I love it. I can say that it is the most beautiful place I have visited during my trip. In terms of location, it is a 10-minute walking distance to restaurants, bars and markets, but at the same time, it is a wonderful place, away from the crowds, quiet, surrounded by nature.The view is wonderful. It was very enjoyable to watch the rain from my terrace during the monsoon season. Frankly, I took care to choose the places I stayed according to their cleanliness score, and I was definitely not disappointed in this regard. I was greeted with incredible hospitality. I had the opportunity to meet Ksenia. She is a wonderful person who is very warm-hearted, helpful and thoughtful. She was incredibly helpful, giving me information about the island's amenities, restaurants, and anything else I asked about.It's definitely a place I want to visit again. I thank them for everything. 🤗

Beautiful place to enjoy some quite and relaxing private time. The room is exceptional, a perfect private oasis.

No restaurants or common sitting area. Not recommended for older couples as the hill to the resort is very step and hard walk up. We rented a scooter from the resort which solved this problem. Hard to make a negative commend but the review asks us to add this in. Definitely recommend if you are looking for your own private place to relax.
