I loved my stay at Hostal Evoke, central location and super comfy rooms. The guys who work at the reception are very lovely as well, especially Jesús and Ayda. I will definitely recommend Evoke!

The apartment is conveniently situated in the heart of the city, just a short walk from Plaza Mayor and the renowned Museo Nacional del Prado. Despite the compact bathroom, the shower is ample in size, ensuring adequate comfort. The apartment is equipped with all the essential amenities, including a comfortable bed and a clean and well-maintained room.

Location was superb. Very close to restaurants, bars, all sorts of businesses, in the heart of downtown. Also close to Museo del Prado, Jardín Botánico and many otherr attractions. Very safe even at night. I got a room with a double-bed. The room was very clean, with a good assortment of toiletries (even toothhbrush and paste in the room) and big enough for a solo traveler. Would pull it off for two people, but on the smaller side. With so many things to do around Madrid., it works not only as a place to stay at night but as a headquarters to take a break in the afternoon (especially in the hot summer of Spain) and continue exploring Madrid in the evening (still with sun light till 9 pm + in summer). The staff was excellent, very helpful and professional. Aída and María in the hotel desk were superb. I had a great experience over a 3-night stay. Highly recommended.

There is a large sign hanging out off the building by the third floor, around other signs popping out in the street. It's visible and readable as you walk on the street, but there should be something bigger at the very door (there is a small sign at the keypad). I memorized the big, wide, wood door at the entrance as the reference to locate the hotel when I was coming back.

Hostal Evoke is in a great, central location for Madrid's main sights, which can all be easily walked to. Antón Martin metro station is also only a few steps away. The building that the hostel is in, is clean with a beautiful wood staircase. All reception staff were very polite, warm and friendly. The single bedroom was clean with a small fridge, always useful to have. As the en suite bathroom is tacked onto the end of the bedroom, this means that the large window has to be entirely opaque, which took a bit of getting used to, as you can't look outside at a view. At least the window can be opened, so you can see outside then. To start with, it made the room feel a bit enclosed, but the location is what you stay at this hostel for, and it's fine for a few days. Tip: take the metro to see the views from Faro de Moncloa. The amount of greenery around one side of Madrid is staggering.

The hotel is very close to the city center and is located in a very safe area. The room was well-equipped and very organized. It was super clean, and many details were considered for guests’ comfort; the bed was also very comfortable. They also provide personal care boxes with high-quality toiletries. The room was quite small, but I had a very comfortable stay; there are larger options available. Special thanks to all the staff—they were incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly. The room is small, but perfect for two nights of staying. It was clean, it looks very modern, they provided me shower gel, mini soap, as most of the accomodations do, but I was surprised to discover that there were also a toothbrush, a razor and shower cap for hair. The staff is very kind and they are there for you. I really enjoyed staying there, not telling you that's very close to downtown, and 5 minutes away from the oldest Tablao flamenco 1911 of Madrid, same close is the house of the playwriter Lope de Vega (free entrance).

For the price, the location is great, and the staff was amazing. The first lady I talked to had a welcoming smile, easy to talk to and was ready to give recommendations in the area if asked, all the rest of the staff were lovely too. It was also nice being able to leave my luggage there with them if I needed to after check out, they let you know that you can leave it there for as long as you need. Even if it was a little small, I would definitely book this place again. It's situated near the metro and bus stops, so getting around is really easy but you're centrally located so it's to just walk around.

The first thing I didn't like was instructions on getting there weren't all clear, I wasn't aware it was situated on what's considered the 2nd floor and the other thing was that I could hear a lot of what the person in the room next to me was doing. Also, if you're a bigger person, the beds might be a little small, but they were still comfortable.

very friendly, welcoming and helpful people which is the biggest plus for me in this hostal. The location is extremely central and very close to the next metro station. the hostal has been renovated recently, it's clean and the old building very nice.

the room itself is very small. the bed not very large neither, to put it in nice words. the biggest minus is the almost non-existing isolation between the rooms. you hear everything from next door.

Had nice receptionists! All of them were nice and very helpful! It’s located at the city centre but the noise outside won’t be heard inside the room. The room was spacious! Booked a room with 2 separate beds. They were kind enough to lend us a kettle to use in our room! They come clean everyday for free and had supplies for basic shampoo, brush, razor etc The only thing is that the walls are abit thin so you can hear the other room shower or talk sometimes but luckily our next room mate weren’t too noisy. Still, its located in the middle of all the shops so id still come back!

Room was average size but was plenty enough room for what we needed for a 4 night break. Bathroom was small but had everything we needed for a short break. There was air conditioning and a ceiling fan which was great

We were close to reception, walls are thin and we heard more noise there as people came in an out through the night but wouldn’t stop us booking again in the future.
