We had a truly memorable experience at the Grand Hôtel Moderne. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the elegance and charm of this historic hotel, beautifully blending Art Nouveau style with modern comfort. What makes this place exceptional is its unbeatable location - just 50 metres from the Lourdes Sanctuary. Being able to walk to the Grotto and Basilica in mere moments was wonderful. Whether attending services, joining the Rosary procession or simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere, everything was right at our doorstep. The staff were warm and attentive, the rooms spacious and beautifully appointed. We especially appreciated the quiet, restful ambiance after a long day of exploration. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, convenience and a touch of old-world grace in Lourdes.

There is a car park nearby called the Merlasse at 1 Pl. Merlasse, 65100 Lourdes, France. The car park spaces were tiny and it was very expensive.

Location, ambiance. Bedrooms and beds. Evening meal in the restaurant was exceptional. Unfortunately it was spoiled by no air conditioning and no ice for soft drinks.

Aircon downstairs non existent for 4 days we were there. No ice available for soft drinks, when asked. Breakfast poorly stocked, ran out by 9am not replenished for guests after 9. Bar area small and not adequately staffed.

Great location, friendly staff who spoke English, extremely clean, daily room service, and a good breakfast. Great experience.

Coffee machine was down leaving 50 people to get coffee from the one working machine. 15 minute wait for coffee or a refill. Need to refill the in-room tea and coffee packets. Maids are only allowed to give packets at check-in. They cannot restock the packets. Change hotel policy. The bags are cheap and a good service with positive feedback if readily avaliable.

I drink a lot of water and I do expect the water bottle in my room will be replenished everyday but it’s not. I don’t know if that’s the case or do I need to call the reception every time I run out. But with the value of money they charge for a room I’m expecting it will be automatically replenished.

Location is very near to sanctuary. Only 5 minute slow walk to reach sanctuary. Room was very clean. towel was provided for each guest and changed daily if requested. bathroom has a hot shower. Breakfast has many option including bread, sausage, bacon, yogurt, various hot prepared eggs. Staff was courteous, helpful and very speedy in check in and check out process.

The location was perfect, the staff were wonderful, polite, helpful and very friendly. The room was perfect, very comfortable. There was a delicious menu available to consider each day for lunch and dinner. There was ample to choose from for breakfast as well

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is literally located across the street from the Sanctuary of Lourdes so this was a plus especially for my mother who has trouble walking long distances. Dinner was amazing, even better than some we had in Paris.

The breakfast was cold as the sterno was out. For the price we wouldn’t do that again!

Huge bathroom with wet room style shower normally allocated to less able bodied persons but it was a joy to use & it had a large double door which opened out to our large balcony & connected with the bedroom balcony & door also.

We didn’t try breakfast this year as it was so poor last year but to be honest I did not even look at the breakfast bar but it was very busy & full of people as I left at 7.15 to attend early Mass

Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until we left yesterday. The staff are truly wonderful and so so helpful. Our room was extremely clean and a wonderful view. We loved every moment of our stay and will return next year.
