I booked here because we had eaten at the restaurant before and had a good experience. Our meals were good this time too. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had been updated. Air con and TV all in good working order. Offroad parking was good. Staff very helpful.

The door latch didn't work properly so we had to slam the door shut. There was also a gap around the door. Traffic noise early morning was pretty loud. We went to the bar to have a drink before dinner. There was a free pool table but it was in bad condition (no triangle or chalk, or rests). I went to put a KENO ticket on but the only staff member who could operate the Keno and TAB was finishing her shift at about 6pm. Given there are no pokies there was not much to do.

Location was great. Opposite the Deborah mine and talking tram depot so could leave the car and travel by tram to the tourist spots. The meals were really good and we ended eating in the adjacent hotel both nights. Salt and pepper squid is awesome if you like seafood definitely worth a go. Room was clean and the balcony had a nice view over the pool. Electric blankets on the beds if that’s your cup of tea, not cold enough for us but I’m sure it would be appreciated in the middle of winter.

Was disappointed the spa was out of action. Was the main reason we booked there so we could relax after a long drive but that can’t be helped.

This is our second stay as we appreciate being on the ground floor with easy access to the swimming pool and bistro. The kitchenette has the usual handy equipment (bar fridge, microwave, jug, toaster, cutlery etc). There's lots of storage space The room has reverse cycle air conditioning and the tiled bathroom has a fan. Near the ground floor carpark is an undercover outdoor table and chairs, lovely to use my laptop there on a sunny afternoon. The staff are welcoming and do everything they can to accommodate requests. All in all, a convenient and enjoyable place to spend a night or two.

Only minor points - the beds are a bit too firm for our liking, the TV is free-to-air for only a couple of channels, we'd prefer all tiles throughout (partially carpeted) and the air conditioner is positioned over the sleeping area. No big deals, we recommend it to friends and will keep returning.

Staff Michael was exceptional, rooms are so clean, bathroom/shower very very clean, crisp fresh sheets, microwave 👌 the carpet was clean the pool area was beautiful table chairs trees 🌳mini resort. The location was perfect 5minute drive to town centre, takeaways 2 minutes either direction/mcdonalds/red rooster. Definitely staying here again and I highly recommend this place! And very reasonably affordable!

Beds were firm/hard no bounce but we managed to sleep tight. Some people like hard beds lol

The swimming pool was a must-have, especially as it was 38C the day we arrived, and as promised it was easily reached from our ground floor room. The Hotel Motel is close to the Talking Tramways Tour which we took the next day. Because the Hotel has a dining room, all we had to do to enjoy dinner was walk a few metres. (Highly recommend the roast veggie salad with added chicken, and cheesecake for dessert.) The modern bathroom was fully tiled. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

The only drawbacks were the air con positioned over the beds; and the double bed was too soft and had an electric blanket underneath (understandable but not to our liking).

I had a ground floor room near the pool. The room was clean and cool - it was quite hot during my stay. Grateful for pool and air conditioner. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to a Woolies supermarket which was quite handy. There is also a Hungry Jacks and Shell service station 2 minutes walk and a pub connected to the hotel. The hotel is a 20 minute walk to the center of town.

I could hear the the upstairs apartment TV but thankfully they weren't watching very late.

A group of us visited Bendigo for the weekend. We stayed in a new 3 bedroom apartment. Exceeded my expectations. Lovely and new. Comfortable bed. Balcony overlooking a grassed area. Modern facilities. Double lock up garage with access to the apartment from the garage. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

The only thing to mention is that it was a two storey apartment. The stairs were a little steep. Kitchen, lounge, dining and master bedroom/ensuite were located upstairs with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, toilet downstairs.

Proximity to everything we wanted to do. Good heating, including electric blanket. Very clean. Very good on site restaurant with excellent bar and waiting staff - big call out to Laura who's really on the ball.

Nothing to complain about. Thought from description that had kitchenette and then found water for kettle came from and dish washing done in bathroom. Just a personal hate. Had to request dishwashing equipment.

Our room at the National Hotel Complex was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. The aspect from the 1st floor balcony out to the pool and trees was lovely, and the whole place has a peaceful feel. After a day of driving we were exceptionally happy to discover there was a spa, which we jumped into after a quick dip in the (extremely cold) pool - what a wonderful treat for our weary travellers' backs! The National Hotel Complex is located very conveniently, too - a very pleasant walking distance from town, near the Bendigo Cathedral, and just opposite the Deborah Gold Mine. We didn't eat at the restaurant, not because it didn't look good, but because we wanted to walk into town, and once there discovered an absolute plethora of great restaurants! In the morning, on the hunt for coffee, we found an excellent cafe just a short walk from the hotel. I would thoroughly recommend the National Hotel Complex to other travellers. It's a great location from which to experience beautiful Bendigo.

The room was located quite close to the airconditioner for the restaurant (I think) and so was quite noisy until about 11pm, or so it felt. In all other respects we had a very comfortable stay.

Good location- directly across the street from Deborah gold mine and the start of the talking tram. Approx 15-20km walk from centre of town ( or a $15 taxi ride). Free parking at the hotel. Lovely pool and heated indoor spa. Room very spacious with large bed and sofa. Very comfortable bed- almost as good as our bed at home. Spa bath just about big enough for 2. Lovely hot shower with good pressure. Room and pool area both very clean and well looked after. Pub/ restaurant has a good varied menu with many GF options and good food.

Nothing really. Would be good to allocate a parking space to each room though wasn’t really an issue.
