The reviews and photos are honest. This is an exceptional family hotel. We loved every aspect of the hotel, the warmth and professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the food!! We stayed in the hotel for a meal and it was superb with fantastic service. Breakfast was amazing, where can you get better? I don't know. If you drive to the hotels car park, you need nerves of steel but you think you're in an episode of The Grand Tour, but that adds to the experience!

Nothing - but next time we visit, we hope to upgrade our room to a room to that wasn't available this visit, a lakeside balcony.

This is one of the most exceptional hotels I've stayed at in the past decade. Every member of the staff goes above and beyond for guests. The location is phenomenal, the atmosphere is peaceful (even though it's situated in the center of everything), the breakfasts are fantastic (fresh-pressed OJ, made-to-order coffees, homemade cakes, non-dairy milk substitutes, etc.), the views of the lake are incredible, you can control your own A/C unit in your room... I had to leave Sirmione at 4am on my day of departure, and the hotel even offered to have a staff member make me an espresso before I went. They even sent me off with a homemade cake. Can't say enough good things about them!

Breakfast and the location we're perfect! I even got a freshly made pie to take with me at checkout. Lovely people, lovely hotel, great coffee. The deck is wonderful when it's hot out, time for a swim and chill. Single annex room was fine, I loved the showergel! Such a great smell. Unrelated to hotel, but related to Sirmione: I just personally wouldn't stay in Sirmione center for 4 nights again, it's better for a 1 or maximum 2 night trip, ór plan a lot of trips out of Sirmione (by boat!) because it's REALLY crowded during the day because of all the day trip-people. Too crowded for my liking... The streets are too narrow for the amount of people.

Nobody comes to the deck to ask if you want a drink (or at least not when I was there). I would have liked for them to come to me instead of having to go inside and wait for somebody to help me. Service is great though, nice snacks and great drinks. Staff is wonderful and so kind.

This was the most amazing hotel of our entire trip so far. Everything about this place is simply wonderful. We were so lucky to book it for the very first night of our journey, and we were absolutely delighted with every single detail. First of all, the parking service is incredible – you drive straight through the old town to the hotel, leave your car there, and the hotel staff takes care of parking and moving it for you. The whole hotel team was just outstanding: extremely kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. Even though we only stayed for one night, when we left, it felt like we were leaving family. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, like a true home away from home. Every detail of the hotel impressed us – the stunning view, the unique character of the place, the seaside pier where you can dive straight into the water, relax on the sunbeds, and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings. It was simply unforgettable. The attention to detail was exceptional – from the fresh flowers in the room upon arrival to the sweet little souvenir we received upon departure. Everything was so thoughtful and heartwarming.

As for possible downsides, although they didn’t bother us much, the room felt a bit old-fashioned (but very, very clean), and at night it was quite noisy for sleeping. Still, everything else was excellent: the bathroom worked perfectly, towels and all necessities were provided. Overall, this is a truly remarkable hotel that I highly recommend to anyone. If you ever get the chance to stay here, don’t hesitate – just book it and enjoy one of the most memorable experiences of your life.

Amazing location right on the lake, lovely decking area where you can climb/jump in for a swim and then relax on the lounger with an aperitif. The hotel is lovely and clean, and the food was delicious. Right in old town, so easy to walk and explore the area. Spacious rooms with air conditioning. Will absolutely stay here again, wonderfully calm and peaceful hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the town, and the view is just unbeatable.

Only downside for me personally was the hard bed, but I appreciate this is quite common in Italy, and some people would be fine with it!

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Marconi with my husband, my daughter, and my 85-year-old mother. One room was in the main hotel and the other in the newer annex. Everything was very clean. Both rooms were accessible by elevator. The location, right in the center, is incredible — you have to drive through narrow little streets to reach the hotel on the peninsula. The hotel has its own parking, and the view from the terrace over the lake is stunning. The staff is absolutely lovely and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, and even enjoy reductions in the city facilities.. Breakfast is exceptional (continental) — the mother of the family bakes cakes every morning, there’s freshly squeezed orange juice, fruits, salty an sweet dishes. We could play board games in the lounge. The location is ideal: 200 meters from the Sirmione thermal baths, 200 meters from the ferry dock for lake tours, and close to the castle and the ruins. Nice shopping closeby. I also recommend the boat tour around the peninsula, passing right by the foot of the fortress — a must. The hotel’s warm, family-style welcome made us feel at home. We would gladly come back!

We miss hotel Marconi and your lovely family

Had a fantastic 4 nights in Hotel Marconi. Great location just 5 minute flat walk from the ferry to multiple locations around Lake Garda. Situated right on the lake shore, perfect for walking and exploring Sirmione. At the front of the hotel you have the bustling Main Street, at the back you have the silence of the lake. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more friendly. Probably the friendliest and most helpful staff in any hotel we have stayed in. Family owned and run, the food was delicious. We ate in the hotel for breakfast and dinner every day.

Superb family run business who can't do enough for you, Always greet you with a smile and ready to assist you in all your needs. The best quality and variety of choices for breakfast we had whilst travelling in Europe. Excellent quality reasonable priced meals available for dinner. Table settings overlooking the lake with magnificent views. The room was very clean, spacious and very comfortable with a small balcony with views to the lake. Excellent location right on the lake and walking distance to everything, Paid parking on site. When we left we were greeted not just with a smile but hug and were giving a gift to take with us. Thank you to all the staff for the most enjoyable stay in Europe.

The location was perfect- in the middle of the town but you felt private and quiet in the hotel. It was so lovely to eat outside on the waterfront terrace, very relaxing. The hotel is picturesque with attention to detail. Room was spacious with very comfortable bedding and pillows. Towels were good quality and the room was very clean. Breakfast had good atmosphere and yummy food. Staff ensured that you were looked after. Carlos and his wife were wonderful ( as were all staff) They were welcoming, knowledgeable and made you feel valued. Sirmioni and Marconi hotel were our favourite spot during a month away.

Location is superb, right in the heart of the castle. Staff go above and beyond with welcomes and help with things to do and see and timetables for ferries and buses. A very big thank you. Loved the little outdoor space for a sunbathe and swimming in the lake to cool off from the summer sun. Breakfast was delicious would highly recommend the homemade strawberry and custard tart the pastry is soft and crumbly delicious. Breakfast by the lake is something special. I shall miss it. Car parking is available (with a fee) worth it. Fridge so water kept cool all day. A delicious treat at the end of our stay which came in handy at the airport. A wonderful stay.

I wish I had booked a balcony. There was a kettle but no tea and coffee I would imagine if you asked for it would have been given.
