Located right across the street from the train station so quite convenient although be prepared to walk (15 min at least) if you want to visit the old town as it is across the bridge. Otherwise you can take the bus. I did find the price expensive compared to other places I've stayed before getting to Bayonne but it was one of the cheapest options available as Bayonne is quite expensive to stay in. Quality/Price was good. Rooms were clean and quiet.

Breakfast was just ok and expensive for what is offered so enjoy breakfast elsewhere if you can.

Hotel Cote de Basque is ideally situated for a visit to Bayonne and the surrounding area. We arrived by air at Biarritz and a number 3 bus drops you right outside the hotel. Once at the accomodation it is within easy walking distance of Bayonne centre and the sites and superb number of restaurants and cafes. It us just beside Gare de Bayonne. We were able to get trains into the countryside and do superb walking in the mountains. It would also be possible to get buses to the coast and the major resorts. The rooms we had were very comfortable with air conditioning, which was wonderful at the time of our visit. We choose breakfast, which was excellent and good value for money. The staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel provided storage of our large luggage items while we went hiking. Communications were prompt, clear, and helpful. Overall, it was a tremendous establishment to stay with.

It was all very good. There are no points of criticism.

The first room I got had a small window that cannot be opened. I am claustrophobic . So I changed room. The new room on the 5th floor was great with a view of the roofs of the city. I really loved that. Actually it was a family room, with 2 beds. Bathroom was nice as well. Wish I had been able to stay longer. The staff is fantastic. The place is close to everything. It has a restaurant downstairs. There is a supermarket nearby, Carrefour, and other grocery stores, clothing stores, a laundromat. The train and bus station is across the street. (As far as a laundromat, use the one on Place des Basques. It's only 5 euros.)

Good location and quiet despite directly at the train station and streets (our room was on the side of the building). Comfortable bed, fresh air, good size of the room and everything was clean, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

We didn’t like the breakfast very much. Almost only packaged stuff or from machines (Daft, water, coffee) and not much fresh or particularly healthy food. Also no French/Basque specialities as far as we could see. It didn’t fit to the overall very charming hotel.

The features of the building were beautiful. The location was perfect if arrive by train or by coach. The hotel is just across from the old town which was excellent. The Fete de Bayonne was just starting and this hotel would have been prime location for it, unfortunately we were the leaving on the day it started. Excellent A/C in the room which was very modern.

Unfortunately for us we arrive quite early and the late check in time was frustrating however we did leave our bags to explore.

Modern good size rooms with comfy beds and plush towels. 24hr reception. Reasonable continental bfast 12€-plenty of cafes within 100m. Good email/msg communications.

Nothing to help drying out wet clothes. Shower gels are those in a small paper sachet. No hairdryer. Noisy as its on a main road junction and curtains are not black out. Limited (5/6) bike (velo) storage.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and the AC was very good. My room and bathroom were spotless and the hallways were very clean also. Literally across the street from the train station and a very easy and convenient walk to many restaurants, bakeries and the market. And there is an elevator!!

The room was very stylish and clean, with plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. The breakfast was amazing!

The only slight negative was that the curtains could have been thicker and/or lined in order to exclude more light from the street outside (our room faced the road junction by the station) However, it was quiet enough, and wouldn't stop us staying here again!

The hotel is situated right by the railway station and close to the river and cathedral. There is a bus there direct from the airport. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful. We were able to leave our big luggage there and go hiking for 6 days before returning for another night.

The room was clean and perfectly nice. The location is great - right by the train station, easy to walk to the center of Bayonne, and easy to take the bus to Biarritz. The staff stored my bags after check-out, and they were nice enough to store them for a few hours again when I passed through town a couple weeks later.

The room was very small and more bare than the pictures. It would be nice to have a little fridge and some glasses.
