The staff were very helpful both in advance as well as during the stay. The breakfast was plentiful and a good variety of things to have. Location was good, only 5 mins to the main drag. Only a shortish hop to the airport. No shortage of things to do and places to see.

Very, very small things:the shower hose needs an above head height holder. In my room, you had to hold the shower attachment, which was a nuisance. The shower door let water seep out so the bath mat became saturated, and the handle to open the door was inadequate, so you had to reach up and pull the glass by hand.

Bloom Hotel has an excellent location at the edge of the old town, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic (and young!). The airport shuttle option is affordable and spared us a 20-minute cross-Ljubljana walk with suitcases from the bus station. While we arrived after front desk hours, the instructions for accessing the hotel and our key were clear and easy to follow. We liked the breakfast; it was simple, but had everything we needed, and was regularly restocked. The recent renovations given the hotel a surprisingly modern feel, though are also quite minimalist. The standard rooms are slightly small, but were in keeping with our expectations for a small 3* boutique hotel in a historic building. The air conditioning worked well - which was a relief given the mid-30s heatwave during our stay.

My wife found the mattress to be a bit hard, though this is often personal taste. For what it's worth, we didn't struggle too much with those infamous shower heads mentioned in other reviews; we also used a bath mat to soak up the slight flooding from the base of the shower, so neither point was much of an issue for us.

Very good choice at breakfast. Staff continually checking all was ok and replenishing food and drink where necessary.

We had a studio room. We are both over 70 and found it quite difficult to clamber up the steps to bed. It was quite dangerous going down the steps especially if we wanted to use the bathroom during the night. I think it should be made known that the studio room has this arrangement and is not suitable for older people. Other than that the room was comfy and clean.

We had an overall good stay. The hotel is in a perfect location — close to everything you need, and the breakfast was really tasty. The staff were polite and helpful, and the room was generally clean (though I wouldn’t recommend walking in white socks).

There are just a few minor things to keep in mind: our room was tiny — while the photos do reflect its size, if you're traveling with two suitcases, it’s hard to even find enough space to open them properly. That said, the hotel also offers larger rooms, so the experience might be more comfortable if you choose one of those. Sound insulation wasn’t great, and it could get noisy at night — especially with the window open. The room also lacked a kettle, and the minibar was fully stocked with drinks for purchase, which left no space for personal items. Still, for a one-night stay, it worked perfectly fine.

The hotel is brand new, so it is very clean and in great shape. The decor is tasteful and sleek. We visited in February, so likely lower prices, but I found the value for money to be great - we had a large room with a queen bed and a pull out sofa. The breakfast was also nice (eggs, bacon, pastries, meats, cheeses, cereal) and served in a cute breakfast room with views of the courtyard. The location is also great - you can walk to the Dragon Bridge and the base of the castle hill in about ten minutes.

It would be nice if the shower had a place to “hang” the shower sprayer vs. just having to hold it in your hand. The safe in our room was not working either. I would also recommend some hooks for towels in the bathroom vs. only the towel heater.

Clean, comfortable and lovely vibes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was generous and tasty. Free coffee and tea available anytime. Excellent location walking distance from anywhere in the old town area and the castle. We’d stay here again any day!

The doors to the room could be more soundproof and stable because our door rattled with people walking past and we could hear the music and talking in reception area. The shower did not have a high place to put the handheld shower so you had to wash you hair bent over or hold the shower by hand. But the shower screen and floor did not contain the water and it went all over the bathroom floor. The heating in the bathroom floor was also patchy with some cold parts and some warm parts.

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at Bloom Hotel. The hotel is perfectly located, at walking distance from the city centre and near cute, local shops and Michelin star restaurants. The street in front of the hotel is residential, so there is heavenly silence. The bed was our favourite feature from the room, very very comfy. Also, the walk-in shower and the l'Occitane products were very much appreciated. At first glance, the breakfast may seem scarce in diversity, but it has everything you could think of, and the inner courtyard is the perfect set-up for every morning.

I couldn't find a fault anywhere.

Good central location, staff helpful, nice varied breakfast.

We were given top floor studio apartment. This involved climbing 5 sets of narrow stairs or going in a very small lift which faced the internal walls! I am claustrophobic so climbed the stairs.. Our bed involved climbing stairs also as it was elevated above floor level. ( not good for my husband who has hip replacements. The velux windows had no pole to close blinds. The church bells rang out from 7 a.m. no alarm required! Shower needs a higher vantage point as water leaks on floor into bedroom.

An absolute gem of a small hotel in a really lovely area of the city - close to all you would want to see, while being in a quiet spot. the breakfast was varied and plentiful and served in a lovely bright dining room. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large sofa, great for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The staff were friendly and helpful and the information shared in advance (particularly about parking) was spot on. We would definitely stay at Bloom Hotel again if visiting Ljubljana in the future!

As many guests have noted, the handheld shower is tricky and messy. If they sorted this out (easily done, surely?), I would give them a perfect 10. Not that this would stop me staying at Bloom again though! :)

A lovely boutique hotel in a quiet area close to all the sights and restaurants of the city. Clean, modern and in a brilliant location. Cosy rooms, but fully equipped. Breakfast was good - a reasonable selection of meats, cheeses, eggs, yoghurts etc - exactly what you would expect in a small, boutique hotel. Staff were welcoming and helpful. A lovely stay!

There was very little not to like. Our only concern was that the shower door in our room had no seal, so the water leaked all over the bathroom floor.
