The location is excellent — it’s very convenient for transportation and made it much easier for me to get around the city. The staff were responsible, professional, and very friendly. The hotel also offers breakfast and some additional services that guests might find useful.

Compared to other more luxurious hotels, the basic facilities here are somewhat limited. For example, the lobby is quite small and not very spacious. The room I stayed in was also very small, with an odd layout — it could only fit one bed, and the desk was quite small, yet the hallway inside the room was unnecessarily long, which felt like wasted space. Additionally, the bathroom didn’t provide toothpaste or body wash — only shampoo was available. The hotel is located in downtown Oakland, and the surrounding area may not always feel very safe. This is not the hotel’s fault, but rather a reflection of the neighborhood. One night around midnight, I was approached aggressively by a homeless person, which made me feel quite unsafe.

It has upgraded since the last time we stayed there . You now can park your car in Next to the hotel itself. Which is nice.

In our room you have cable /Roku. We couldn’t get the Roku advertising off our screen ? That was irritating. . I know we could have called front desk but we just wanted to relax after a long drive .

Location and price, ease of booking and paying.

I wish it were clearer on their website that here IS PARKING NEXT DOOR AT NO COST. I drove around all over downtown Oakland looking for overnight parking, even paid at one lot only to be told too late that I couldn’t park overnight and couldn’t even be in their corporate building when I tried to get info about local parking. I eventually called the hotel desk exasperated after an hour, only to find out that I could park god free in the lot next door, except that there was no night security, if that was ok with me, which it was.. There was no sign at the lot saying that it was for hotel patrons, either.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ramada Hotel in downtown Oakland, CA, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the check-in process a breeze. What really impressed me was the amazing pricing I received for such a prime location in the heart of Oakland. As a young traveler, it's important to find accommodations that not only meet my budget but also offer convenience, and the Ramada Hotel nailed it. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable Hotel stay in downtown Oakland.

While my stay at the Ramada Inn in Oakland, California near downtown was overall positive, there was one minor inconvenience that I noticed. The room did not have a fridge or microwave, which would have been convenient for storing and heating up food. However, I want to emphasize that this did not significantly impact my experience, and it was more of a casual observation during my second night. Apart from this, everything was great.

The breakfast was nice - I like that it was early (6:30a). For a rehab hotel with tiny rooms, they were surprisingly well appointed. Good lighting. Good closet. Good bathrooms

The bathtub should have non-skid runners and safety railings. And Downtown Oakland needs a lift! I doubt I would stay there again.

Clean, friendly, competent, nice room.

I ordered online the room.with two beds for two people. I was shown a pic of two beds and I said I j wanted that room at the price that was shown with it-- double beds, 2 beds. I got one tiny bed me and my friend had to share and a very small room, not like what the picture showed at all...so it was misleading Not the end if the world but...was disappointed.

The property is convenient to BART and Jack London Square. The rooms are smallish, and mine didn’t have an exterior window, but I just wanted a comfortable bed, shower and TV. Impressed with the TV channel choices, and my bathroom was HUGE! I’m 6’5”, and my room with a queen bed was perfect as a solo traveller. The staff was friendly and I felt at home here. I will stay there again during my next visit to Oakland.

Not a dislike, because I grew up in Oakland, but some may feel uncomfortable with the neighborhood, but I felt comfortable. It was also 4th of July, so lots of people were out.

The location was not ideal but the breakfast was good daily and the coffee was great and the hot water for tea was also. the room came with microwave and fridge, always a big plus

the room configuration was very odd and not efficient. Our view was an alleyway with pigeons. yuk. no pool and a very small 3 device gym.

Quaint hotel, good heating, large and comfortable bed, having an iron provided and hair dryer. I like the hair products. the room was nice and quiet.

The breakfast didn’t have eggs. They only had blueberry muffins-I don’t like blueberries. I wish there was a microwave in the room. More soap and toilet paper should be provided.
