I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on that. I booked a superior room, which was quite spacious and very clean. The hotel's location was excellent—during my stay, I had easy access to the city center, historical sites, the river, and more. After booking, the hotel reached out to ask where my 3-year-old son would prefer to sleep. I requested a cot, and when we arrived, there was a clean, neatly prepared cot in the room, complete with a teddy bear. My son was surprised and delighted. He played with the teddy bear and happily slept in his cot with the toy. As a parent who usually faces challenges helping my son sleep while traveling, this creativity by the hotel made our stay more pleasant.

The only aspect I did not like was the bathroom. During showers, the water temperature kept fluctuating between hot and cold. Fortunately, since the weather was warm, it wasn’t too uncomfortable.

- a lot of parts of the hotel need to be renovated - single bed in room much too narrow - no (!) Vegan meal available with room service nor restaurant/ bar; although I was very hungry, no effort was made at all to prepare me a simple pasta or salat; this being even more nuts considering they have vegan options at breakfast - quality of bread and green salat at breakfast bad - price to pay for gym too high as a hotel guest (18,5 euros per day) with no family pass available - shower towels too small

Friendly staff on arrival with easy check in. Has a great ‘green option’ for the environment which is that if you don’t need your room cleaned every day as it’s likely to be a short city break then you can forfeit it and get a free drink (coffee, wine, beer, soft drink) per person for every day you don’t have it! It was well located for the Cathedral, the Christmas markets and shopping but also away from any noise! Clean, comfortable and well located!

This is just being picky but I’m not a fan of feather pillows due to a dust allergy, so more used to a substantial pillow.

It was an amazing experience! Me & my partner stayed in the Dorint Hotel for our honeymoon. And the hotel did everything to make our stay unforgettable! The service was the best part about this hotel! All kinds of requests we had were fulfilled very quickly and on the highest level of quality. The staff was very responsive and was genuinely willing to support us in whatever we had on our mind. Especially we want to express our gratitude to concierge Sascha! He is such a kind and friendly person. He made sure to organize everything for us on the top level. The location is perfect! It's right in the city center. But still is was very quiet, the soundproofing was good. You can easily get to any part of the 5city. The tram and bus stops are in 2 min walking. And all kind of shops, bars and restaurants you need are also within 5-10 min walking. We will definitely come back to the hotel ourselves and recommend it to our friends!

The Dorint hotel is in a great location for tourists who are wanting to explore Cologne as it is located just on the edge of the old town pedestrian zone area. We loved our huge room on the top (seventh) floor with large windows and lots of natural light. There was a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. We also appreciated the secure parking directly below the hotel, although it was expensive. The staff were friendly.

The weather was very warm during our stay and the air-conditioning in our room struggled to be effective and it was quite warm overnight for sleeping. This might be even more of an issue in the height of summer. They were some amenities in the bathroom, cotton buds, needle and thread etc but no shampoo or conditioner or shower cap which we found a bit odd. Parking was very expensive.

Exceptionally friendly attitude and stuff! They changed my booking dates free of charge, and called me a taxi to the airport per my request. Breakfasts are very tasty. The windows are noise-proof so it was quiet in the room and I slept well. Location is great - very close to the city center and the Dome.

Minor drawbacks - The cup in the room was scratched, it’s better to change it. Also the electric kettle didn’t turn off automatically and I had to watch it every time I wanted to drink a cup of tea. You can hear the sound of TV in the bathroom, there is a dynamic in it, and I didn’t find how to turn it off.

The location is central and only a short walk from the main train station. The hotel was very nicely decorated for Xmas and check in was quick and easy. We asked a couple of questions of reception during our stay and they were always very helpful. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. On Friday morning there were little Santa chocolates at breakfast which was a nice touch, although these didn’t appear on the weekend.

Charging €18 for the gym is disappointing. Most hotels of this standard would provide complimentary access.

The hotel is in very good location. Near the River, near the main market , near the Dom and the most famous Squares and attractions of the city. Also a lot of nice restaurants in very close distance. The rooms are of a good size with confi beds and pillows. Breakfast is very nice!! Recomented

The fridge was not in order that means no mini bar in the room. And for the stars of the hotel only one bottle of water for 2 persons for 4 nights is unacceptable. Also smile, polite and kindness from the staff is necessary.

The Hotel exceeded our expectations, We had a three rooms which were very nice and finished to a high standard, The Breakfast was extensive with a chef on hand for any specials you required excellent staff very attentive, The Bar area and staff again were of the highest standard very cosy great atmosphere, Location was perfect for the Markets and shopping areas also the old town for bars and restaurants, Great on site underground car park.

No Complaints great trip

Hotel’s location was great. You could have easy access to anywhere you like. The famous dom is 6 minutes away, there is a massive shopping street with almost all brands you like. Also underground is just beside the hotel. Nearby restaurants and supermarkets with ready meals are very good. Food in hotels restaurant was excellent. Rooms in hotel bright and spacious. Pillows and duvets are very cosy and comfortable. We all slept very well. Breakfast was very good with variety of continental and hot food, my kids especially enjoyed chocolate drips. There were plenty choices of variety teabags with lemon, ginger and fresh mint!

We had to wait 2 hours to check in to the hotel! Staff said rooms are not ready yet due to late check outs , however people who arrived later than us were all checked in on time! We were very tired after long journey (woke up at 3am) and my kids ended up sleeping on the reception sofas! The female staff of the hotel are very sweet and helpful which I couldn’t say the same about male staff. I had to ask for one thing few times until it gets done, which was annoying. The fresh water isn’t replaced daily and there are not enough teabags. We are tea drinking family, unfortunately only one tea bag was left when we arrived which then never replaced. I had to get couple of teabags from the restaurant downstairs once.
