10/10 for location which was literally a short walk to St James Tidal pool and Folk Coffee shop. Its away from the busy noisy Kalk Bay but close enough to mooch around there at leisure. Views were great and I loved the African retro deco - the breakfast were a real win which Yoliswe cooked up with a smile and a friendly manner.

so not that it was a real issue but a tea/coffee facility in the room would have been nice. We did walk downstairs to help ourselves but its nice not to have to do that. then the outside terrace had umbrellas which were far too low to sit under and ashtrays were full of cigarette buts which was a bit offputting. But - the views were great and we used the deck chairs instead.

Breakfast was awesome and view and location spectacular. Really enjoyed the stay.

There was no signage on where the B&B was I phoned quite a few times so waited 20 minutes before I could check in. The people next door helped me with the location and said that it happens often that people cannot find the place and the phone does not get answered. Please can you add the cellphone number on the bookings.com site. Very annoying if you cannot get hold of anyone and there is no signage. Place next door is also nr 7

The setting and views are superb, with a quick walk down the hill for a swim at St. James tidal pool. Yoliswa and Mandisa looked after us beautifully. Thanks for the delicious breakfasts every day. Sitting in the lounge looking at the view was fantastic. It felt like home from home!

Nothing. Having a line to hang costumes and towels on would be an added bonus.

The place is nice and homely, with quirky decor. Delicious well prepared breakfast is included in the room rate.

I arrived late at night as I had advised. It was during load shedding. There is no sign on the gate. I didn't know if I was at the right place. There was no sign indicating where the bell to contact the staff. It was pitch black. I was using my phone light to see where I was. The phone number given in Booking.com DOES NOT EXIST!!!!! I wasted 20 minutes struggling until the power was resumed

Very good location as my visit was to visit my brother in St. James retirement home. Very friendly staff and good breakfast.

At the top of very steep hill with lots of steps to front door and to rooms. Not suitable for old or disabled. Did not like having to leave room for seperate toilet across the corridor and then having to go to separate room next door for bathroom although it was for my use only

Nicely decorated room en-suite with great view over False Bay. Friendly and helpful staff. Competitive price with good facilities. Well located in St James within easy walking distance of Kalk Bay (along the road) and to Muizemberg (along the coastal walkway). St James had its own tidal pool, beach and beach huts. Nice cafe nearby (Folk), which has music at the weekend.

Spectacular location and views. Very clean, comfortable and excellent art and books. Walking distance to the greatest tidal pools and all of Muizenberg and Kalk Bay. Solid breakfast. Kind, dedicated staff.

Bit of falling around about which room we booked, so had to move out of original (glorious) room. But others also good, although much smaller.

Yoliswa, the lady who runs the place couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming, and every morning she prepared my breakfast to order, which was always delicious. It felt like I was a guest in someone's home, rather than in some impersonal hotel.

Just for information - potential guests should be aware that the B&B does not take cards for payment on check-out. I was not expecting this, and when I needed to draw cash at the nearby ATM in Kalk Bay, it was not functioning due to load shedding. While they accept EFT payments, unfortunately it was simply not practical to pay by bank transfer since I did not have a South African bank account. Luckily I had the time to go back later with the payment once the ATM was back on line...

Loved the art, the books, the garden and the whole tasteful and creative vibe of this place. It's like a traditional English home in an African setting. The views over False Bay from your bedroom window in the morning are spectacular. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of options to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is very well located for easy access within walking distance to St James and Kalk Bay. There is safe off-street parking.

Staff member who welcomed us was so warm and friendly! She made us feel right at home! Views are spectacular and the room was spacious and comfortable!

Pillows weren’t great and the room needed coffee/tea facilities. It was awkward going downstairs during the night to make coffee.
