An excellent hotel in great location for visiting the main sights of Geneva. It is opposite a park and a few minutes walk from the lake. We shared a junior suite with our teenage daughter on the sofa bed. Both beds were very comfortable. The room was large and came with complimentary coffee and soft drinks which were replenished each day. The room had a little balcony at the front. The hotel is on a busy road but we could only hear the ambulance sirens when the windows were shut! The room had excellent air conditioning. Our son stayed in standard double which was also comfortable and quiet (at the back of the hotel overlooking a courtyard) but without the complimentary drinks! All staff were very friendly and helpful (provided us with plug adapters and ice!). We parked our car in their car park for 26 CHF and had to pay extra for the electric charging point but this ensured the car was secure. We were sent a link for a free travel pass before arriving which allowed us to use the bus (2 minutes from hotel), trams and water buses which are all very regular and easy to use.

Nothing!

Breakfast was good, variety and taste. The staff was excellent and very helpful, spoke both English and French. Travel adapters were loaned from the front desk…Switzerland needs special adapters, not compatible with our French adapters. Just around the corner was a great coffee house, The Little Cup, with pastries and cappuccinos. Across the street, Park Mon Repos was an easy walk along Lake Geneva. We enjoy walking on vacation, sometimes up to 7-8 miles per day. From the hotel, we were able to walk over the Rhone and into the old city to see the Reformation wall and the Contemporary Art Museum. Dinner at Le Perron in the old city was fantastic, we had the Swiss beef fondue, Fondue Bacchus, so delicious. If you like ceramic and glass work, Musée Ariana is a wonderful museum in easy walking distance, just past the United Nations complex. The main train station, gare Genève Cornavin, is a short taxi ride.

A chest of drawers in the room would have been nice. The street in front of the hotel was quite busy at times and Geneva is definitely car oriented over pedestrians, except the promenade along the lake and in the old city. Restaurant Caramela next door had great service, but food was disappointing. Restaurant Perle du Lac across the street in the park was again great service, wine and beer, but the food was not as good.

Spacious well decorated room with excellent bed. The whole hotel has a fittingly calm atmosphere given its name. The bar has good light evening meals and the staff are helpful.

A shame there are no USB sockets for charging phones in the bedroom, because the Swiss power sockets didn’t work well with standard European 2 pin plugs. The wifi system is also a bit tedious: you keep having to re-register to use it. It would be good if the large TV in the room allowed one to use one’s own smart device via HDMI input. Oh, and if you are a light sleeper avoid a room near the lift as it makes quite a noise.

I love this Hotel, and I stay there every time I’m in Geneva, which is frequent Just right across some wonderful gardens to walk and nearby the lake, within 20 minutes walk from the city center, a neighborhood with lots of restaurants (Paquis), the train station, a beautiful department store (Manor), and a 10-15 minutes uber ride from the airport. I liked the room, the cleanliness, the kindness of the staff, the interior at the lobby area, and the breakfast offerings

The room (# 10), got particularly warm at night despite me setting the thermostat at 20c, that didn’t work Not sure it is an easy fix but the auto light in the bathroom disrupts sleep and it could be on choice if possible at all The power outlets are useful around the office desk, and in my next visit I will go for a higher class room since it is more spacious and convenient to work.

The 5th floor room was comfortably decorated and furnished, full of light, with a balcony which was pleasant to use. Everything was spotlessly clean and well finished. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff, especially the reception staff, were fantastic. The breakfast was excellent. Five minutes walk to the Botanical Garden. Free bus journeys into town and to travel hubs. We would go back and spend days there very happily.

The room was perhaps a little on the small side, but quite reasonable for the price. The wifi required logging in irritatingly frequently, and we resorted to using our mobile phones as hotspots. But our most serious criticism was the tea making things - and if that's the worst you can say, it says a lot for the hotel.

We were delighted to be given a room on one of the higher up floors, with a balcony and a view over Lake Geneva :) We have found over the years that hotels often give booking.com guests less desirable rooms than those given to the guests who book directly through them...so this was a really lovely surprise - thank you!

We found the accommodation expensive for what was offered....but that may be linked to hotel accommodation across Geneva being in high demand given an international expo on at the time. We realise that it is fancy technology to have motion detector lights in the bathroom....but it would be lovely to be able to switch off this feature, so as not to be blinded by light during night trips to the bathroom!

Everything! A few days before our booking I emailed as to the best way to get to the hotel. Received a reply very quickly. And also got a free travel pass to use on the local buses and water shuttle boats and trams. Used to get from airport to hotel really easily. You take the No 5 bus from outside airport terminal, go out to the left, walk straight up then turn right, then left again, the stop is outside a pizza restaurant, direction to Thonex Vallard. Get off at Nations stop, then walk across the road, you'll see the 3 legged chair then the bus stop for No 11 or 22 is to the right, get off at Jardine Botanique. Going back to the airport is in reverse, and the no 11 or 22, you take from the same stop you got off, outside the pharmacy, as the bus turns around there. You'll see a hotel Eden on the corner the hotel Mon Repos is next door. Hannah on reception very helpful, as are all the staff. Hotel tastefully decorated and has a relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are clean, with safety deposit box, tea coffee making facilities, tv, adjustable temperature, fridge. Rooms tidied and cleaned every day. En-suite with shampoo-shower gel, hand wash, good hairdryer. Breakfast amazing lots of choices including a few hot dishes eggs, sausage, bacon and hash browns. Fruit, juices, pancakes, pastries, yogurts, bread and lots more. Fabio behind the bar is friendly and helpful. It is about a 20-25 min walk to the centre or a bus ride on the no 25 or 1 to the hotel with your pass, you just get on the bus we were never asked to show it. You also get to the train station or bus station within 10 mins, buses are frequent. We also did a trip on the bus with key tours to Chamonix. We took the train to Annecy in France, remember euros if going into France. And train to Montreux. All worth a visit, would definitely stay here again.

Nothing really.

Quiet, comfortable bed. Responsive staff: the first room we had smelled of cigarette smoke. upon informing them of this they moved us to another room that was free of smoke smell. There was a tiny bit of smoke smell but apparently guests ignore the non smoking rule. This room was much better and very comfortable.

The location is far from downtown but on the bus line which made it easy to get to the sights. Restaurants in the neighborhood were closed except one that was overpriced and not the best food.

Excellent location, close to the park, lake, restaurants, and international conference facilities. The hotel staff is professional and very helpful. If you stay a bit longer, get ready to be used to the same breakfast, but since it is Switzerland quality, it is still enjoyable.

I would recommend management work on improving the elevator since the outside doors not closing properly and it can take time until it works.

We only spent a night. Not long enough to say much. Room was very nice.

The light goes on automatically when you go into the bathroom. So in the middle of the night it’s terrible to not be able to dim the light. Was hard to get back to sleep! Otherwise everything else was good. We didn’t have breakfast here and left very early in the morning to catch our train. The man who checked us in was not very friendly or helpful with the few Questions we had.
