Value for money: Comment: The hotel felt quite expensive, but it was during a busy week. I wouldn’t pay more than €150 per night during a regular season.

The Hotel is conveniently located next to the Gare Cornavin train station, with bus stops a short walk away and even within walking distance to the lake and old city.

Although the bathroom was generally clean, the towel heater behind the door was full of dust, obviously not cleaned regularly. I struggled to set the aircon to a comfortable temperature (It was rather cold which was not bad in the heat, although I would have liked it a bit warmer). The walls between rooms are very thin, the noise from the TV in the room next door was a bit disturbing

I travel a lot by train in Europe and look to stay "close to train stations"... but this was just so "unexpected". Got off train, came out and right there standing was Hotel Montbrillant. Plus the Reception Desk (at time it was M. Cissé) was so warm and welcoming. Just what you need at end of your journey! I particularly asked for room overlooking station.... and just loved the views across Geneva : mountains - lake - fountain, etc and the trains passing below. Would definitely come back here and will always be at Hotel Montbrillant.

Booked this hotel very last minute and wanted something close to the main train station. At first I wasn’t sure where it was and didn’t recognise it from previous visits but it is literally a few steps away! Really enjoyed my stay here! You are amidst the hustle and bustle of other travellers and have the noise from nearby trains when the windows are open but it really wasn’t a problem. The café/bar downstairs, Oh Martine, was fabulous, serving great food and drinks with its tables spilling out onto the terrace. I really couldn’t fault it. It became a little noisy when a group had congregated right by the station entrance but they soon moved on. I had a Single with Kitchenette which was situated in the Studio and it had everything I needed and more. The room was large and the single bed was more like a king and was very comfortable. Even had a glimpse of the Jet D’Eau from window! Bought food and drinks from nearby Coop and prepared them in room. I felt safe as a Solo traveller and would stay again.

Don’t expect luxury if booking a room in the Studio. If I have to say anything it would be that the room needed updating. The furnishings were old and dated but you get what you paid for.

Fantastic location, very friendly staff. Nice and close to shops, and station. Only a 20min stroll to the lake. Loved the kitchen facilities, and despite being close to the train station when the windows were shut you couldn't hear any noise. It was very hot during our stay, but plenty of air conditioning was provided. Value for money in expensive Geneva. Would recommend.

If I had to be picky it would be the fluctuation of the water temperature in the shower and it was a very high step to get into it.

We initially booked for three nights but once we saw the picture post card view from our 5th floor room, we added another two. Very comfortable bed and modern bathroom with good hot shower. All staff were brilliant, very helpful and efficient. Station is at your doorstep for trains to all locations. There is a paid laundromat downstairs which we gratefully used and it was also very clean. Kitchenette is a bit tired but everything functioned well and the fridge was great.

There is nowhere to sit other than the table in the kitchenette or on the bed. There is a load of space for chairs and a coffee table.

Spacious accommodation with kitchenette (basic), large fridge, dining table, coffee table and wardrobe. 3 large windows, comfortable bedding, clean, modern bathroom. Location was literally across the road from the main Geneva train station - cafés, shops all a 2 to 5 minute walk away. Laundromat next door at side of hotel with inexpensive washing machines. Trams, buses and trains all run from this main Cornavin Geneva Railway station. Hotel gives you a Geneva Transport Card which allows you to use all local Geneva public transport (train/bus/tram/ferry chattels across the lake) for free, including from the station to the airport. Train noise was not noticeable - we noticed trains slow right down and enter station slowly - wasn’t an issue for us.

The hallways outside the rooms of the part of the building we were in were being renovated - paint/ wallpaper etc, but there was no noise. Kitchenette needed facelift; power sockets were in inconvenient locations. But - the size of the room and the location made up for all of this and it was a very pleasant stay.

I had a short but very comfortable stay at Hotel Montbrillant, Geneva. The location is truly unbeatable—right next to the main train station and within walking distance of all the key attractions in the city. A special shoutout to the gentleman at the reception during the day (apologies for not catching his name). He was exceptionally polite and courteous. We had driven down, and the hotel parking was a bit away from the main entrance. Despite having the map, I struggled to find the parking spot. He went out of his way, got into my car, guided me to the correct location, and even walked me back to the hotel. That level of personal attention and kindness made an impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Geneva—especially for those looking for convenience, comfort, and great hospitality.

One area that could use improvement is the buffet breakfast. It was a bit underwhelming and didn’t quite match the otherwise high standards of the hotel. I hope the management looks into enhancing the variety and quality, as it would truly complete the overall experience.

Fantastic location next to the train station, literally 5 meters from the exit (I did not notice any noise from the trains). The rooms are comfortable, the mini bar has free bottled water which is very appreciated. Airconditioning works great ( and you do need it in summer). Lake is a good 5 minute walk and great restaurants and pubs can be found in the direct area as well as some small supermarkets.

The rooms are nice, there's nothing wrong with them other than that they are a bit dated. Most important thing is that they are clean and comfortable.

You are so close to the train station, that you could roll out of bed, and be on the platform, that’s off putting for folk, but see once you closed the windows, didn’t even know they where there! But it mean you can get the train off the airport, and straight into the hotel! What I loved Was they gave me and my Mum a free transport pass for our full stay, so we got to travel on public trams, trains buses and shuttle boats, and we used this to our full advantage, and we are thankful cause we don’t think we could have covered all that we did in the short amount of time! The rooms are comfy the duvets are the thick ones you expect to find at home, so you just melt into your bed, also ours came with a bath too! The staff were friendly but rarely seen them, that’s not because they weren’t there but because we didn’t need them. What a fabulous stay ☺️

Could do with more basic toiletries, but shop nearby so wasn’t a problem
