Spacious accommodation with kitchenette (basic), large fridge, dining table, coffee table and wardrobe. 3 large windows, comfortable bedding, clean, modern bathroom. Location was literally across the road from the main Geneva train station - cafés, shops all a 2 to 5 minute walk away. Laundromat next door at side of hotel with inexpensive washing machines. Trams, buses and trains all run from this main Cornavin Geneva Railway station. Hotel gives you a Geneva Transport Card which allows you to use all local Geneva public transport (train/bus/tram/ferry chattels across the lake) for free, including from the station to the airport. Train noise was not noticeable - we noticed trains slow right down and enter station slowly - wasn’t an issue for us.

The hallways outside the rooms of the part of the building we were in were being renovated - paint/ wallpaper etc, but there was no noise. Kitchenette needed facelift; power sockets were in inconvenient locations. But - the size of the room and the location made up for all of this and it was a very pleasant stay.

We initially booked for three nights but once we saw the picture post card view from our 5th floor room, we added another two. Very comfortable bed and modern bathroom with good hot shower. All staff were brilliant, very helpful and efficient. Station is at your doorstep for trains to all locations. There is a paid laundromat downstairs which we gratefully used and it was also very clean. Kitchenette is a bit tired but everything functioned well and the fridge was great.

There is nowhere to sit other than the table in the kitchenette or on the bed. There is a load of space for chairs and a coffee table.

You are so close to the train station, that you could roll out of bed, and be on the platform, that’s off putting for folk, but see once you closed the windows, didn’t even know they where there! But it mean you can get the train off the airport, and straight into the hotel! What I loved Was they gave me and my Mum a free transport pass for our full stay, so we got to travel on public trams, trains buses and shuttle boats, and we used this to our full advantage, and we are thankful cause we don’t think we could have covered all that we did in the short amount of time! The rooms are comfy the duvets are the thick ones you expect to find at home, so you just melt into your bed, also ours came with a bath too! The staff were friendly but rarely seen them, that’s not because they weren’t there but because we didn’t need them. What a fabulous stay ☺️

Could do with more basic toiletries, but shop nearby so wasn’t a problem

Hotel Montbrilliant is adjacent to the main railway station in Geneva and therefore within walking distance to most major attractions. It is a comfortable and relatively affordable stay. This was the third time I have stayed with them. There are many restaurants and bars, shops and supermarket close by. Everything provided was functional and comfortable. The staff are always very accommodating and pleasant.

Although everything works well, the room I stayed in is a bit tired and in need of a renovation. So, manage expectations. Having said that, the pricing at this hotel is cheaper than alternatives in the local area, which is why I return.

This was the second time we stayed here. The location couldn't be better and the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable and really good value for money. It was great to have the kitchenette.

This time we were on the top floor and the rooms are in the process of being renovated so the room felt quite tired and was quite basic and in need of some TLC. Having said that, it was large and comfortable and we were still very sad to leave.

The location right at the train station made travelling around very easy. The free transport card was an added bonus for hopping around and getting to and from the airport in about 6 minutes. The room we had with a kitchenette was I have to say a bit dated in the kitchen area. Othewise it was fairly modern with newly reformed bathroom that had a very spacious walk in shower. The room was spotless and cleaned daily with a change of towels when needed. The big bed was very comfortable and noise from the trains did not disturb us at all they seem to glide in and glide out of the station . The staff at The Montbrilliant are absolutely amazing very helpful, friendly and efficient.

The self catering apartments section has it's own entrance around the side of the hotel and first impressions are not good as you enter into a very drab, dingy hallway. Pity really as it could be brightened up easily with fresh coat of lighter coloured paint and some better lighting.

We have stayed at the Hotel Montbrilliant before. It is a very conveniently hotel next to the station, close to restaurants, bus and tram routes and so much more, but being a bit back from the lakeside it is excellent value for money. On this occasion we stayed in one of their studios. This was very comfortable and quiet and we got all we needed from the Co-op just down the road. The staff on the desk kindly provided us with a Swiss adapter plug (general two pin continental plugs don't work in Switzerland!!). The hotel cafe is a little gem - it's open until 7pm and serves light meals - very handy when most restaurants only serve big meals in the evening.

The room could do with a bit of refreshing and the small air conditioning unit rather struggled to keep the temperature down to 24 degrees.

The room was slightly bigger than I imagined (small single with en suite) but was clean and tidy and decorated in keeping with the location. Train line outside the window wouldn’t have been my choice but I was only using the room for sleeping and freshening up and wasn’t disturbed by the trains. It was a great location for hopping on and off of trains and buses to explore. Entrance is lovely. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, happy to fill up water bottles and give directions and ideas of things to do. Great budget option. Would stay here again

The gym was very basic and a little dated but served its purpose. Breakfast was 18€ to pay at the property. Sensor for corridor lights didn’t reach as far as my room (309) so to be able to see to turn the key in the lock when leaving I had to walk to the corner of the corridor and come back. Ok going to the room because you set sensors off in advance though.

The location was very convenient. It's right in front of the main station (Cornavin). Another handy feature was the free public transport that comes as standard. The room was clean and elegantly decorated, had working AC, and came with a very comfortable bed. My room was on the fifth floor, so there was an amazing view of the Jet d'Eau The staff were friendly and professional and made me feel very welcome

There was a leak in the shower, but nothing that a towel couldn't mop up. The downside to being directly in front of the station is there is a fair amount of railway noise (you can only hear the sounds of the trains themselves, not shouting passengers etc). I'm used to living near a train station, but this may be a dealbreaker for other people (so I thought it was best to mention it).

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Geneva. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The single room was quite spacious and well equipped. I arrived early but the room was ready which was lovely. The location is fantastic - right next to the railway station, bus and tram connections. Even with a lot of luggage it is easy to walk there and an ideal point from which to explore the city and region. The rooms are quiet though. There is aircon to keep you warm or cool.
