Perfect location for the old town. Small hotel with various room sizes and it might be better to spend a bit more for a front facing room, as others are a bit dark. We were room 27 and the double bed was 4’ 6” which is stupidly small for two. I read lots of comments about poor breakfast, and they are correct. But in the bigger picture this is a well run good hotel and hugely polite attentive staff.

Perhaps the small elephant in the room above 27 would book into a zoo next time, so to relieve others of their pacing the room and re organising the furniture between 2am and 8am. Thank you.

Hotel de la Cigogne – Montreux Accessing the hotel by car is quite challenging, as it’s located in the old town. You need to press a button on the street; the staff will respond and open the barrier to allow you into the hotel zone. Parking costs 64 CHF per 24 hours, and the hotel staff handle the parking for you — they will park your car upon arrival and bring it back when you’re ready to leave. The reception staff were courteous and professional. However, when I requested a 30-minute late checkout, my request was declined.

I didn’t like the car access to the hotel.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Best location, walking distance to restaurants, shopping etc. Also liked that the hotel is in a very pretty square, with cafes, restaurants. No traffic, very quiet. Loved that I could bring my large (Weimaraner) dog to the hotel. My dog was also warmly welcomed to the excellent hotell restaurant in the evening.

The decor in the hotel is a little bit outdated. My dog had no bed in the room. The staff was informed about the breed of my dog, prior to my arrival. It could add an extra nice touch to provide a bed for the dog.

This is an Old World hotel in a great location and a stone's throw from great Lake Geneva and St. Peter's cathedral. The hotel's interior is very stately. The hotel sits on a cozy little plaza where you can grab coffee or a meal. The bathrooms are very high end. The bed was very comfy with very high end linens. And of course the staff was great.

Because the hotel is an older building in Old Town, our room was a little bit dark because the only window faced the inner courtyard.

The room was spacious and lovely and had all the necessary amenities, including being served Swiss chocolates every evening. The location is great and within walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. It's in the middle of a nice square. We had dinner at the hotel's fine dining restaurant. The food was excellent and the service immaculate. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Perfect location in a pretty pedestrian square in between the old city and the designer shopping area. A compact, boutique hotel, whose primary aim is to offer travelers luxury and a warm welcome. A relaxing breakfast service, unhurried and consistent.

The rooms offered limited opportunities for charging devices in this modern technological age. Plug sockets were old, hidden and sparse. The TV seemed to have a life of its own!

Cleanliness was superb. Location was excellent for accessing everything in the city centre. All staff were very helpful, apart from one gentleman from the restaurant/bar.

Bed was hard. One of the restaurant staff was very impersonable and aloof towards us, especially when we asked about eating in the restaurant. We asked him whilst stood outside the hotel, maybe he wasn’t aware that we were staying there, although that shouldn’t matter!

Very good location. Nice public area. Fireplace in the room.

My room was facing an inside court. It wasn’t pleasant. Had no actual daylight. It was not welcoming to stay in it.

Boutique Style Hotel. Centrally located. Extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good. The rooms are very big and comfortable. They assisted with interleading rooms. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The concierge was helpful with all our reservations. We would definitely return to this hotel.
