Clean, very quiet, beds are comfortable and very nice staff. Our room had plenty of light with two large windows, not gloomy at all. Very central location. 5 walking minutes from the lake and 2 minutes from the public transportation. Close to the old town and the Place du bourg du four with all the nice cafés to have breakfast in the sun. Of course, keep in mind, it’s a low budget/affordable hotel so don’t expect the same amenities as in a regular hotel (for instance toilets are in the hallway, no breakfast or coffee maker, the rooms are a bit bare, etc). but it was cleaner than many low budget hotels and the staff was very helpful. Also the city of Geneva offers you public transportation passes with your hotel room. We spent most of the time outside and just wanted a nice, clean, central and affordable room for the night, and it was that.

It’s not really about the property itself, but you have to know that on Sundays, this whole neighborhood is closed, stores, pharmacies, etc. No grocery store nearby. But a lot of restaurants and cafés near the lake, minutes away.

A friendly welcome at reception and a great location in the heart of the old city. Breakfast not served at the hotel, but the receptionist recommended a restaurant on the ground floor of the same building, called La Bourserie, which was excellent both for an evening meal and for a simple breakfast. The hotel is on the 5th and 6th floors of an old building, but the lift efficiently takes you up and down. Our room was small but everything was clean and comfortable.

We booked a budget room and we knew we’d have bunk beds, which were fine, and a shared toilet on the landing, which wasn’t a problem, but next time we’d probably try and get a room with double bed and private WC.

As many others have said, this is a centrally located budget hotel. The rooms are no frills but fine for a short stay. We had a triple room with two shower rooms which was convenient. The pull-down bed was also reasonably comfortable which is not always the case. The staff at the reception were very helpful and we received the public transport card in advance so we could use it to get to the hotel. The breakfast place recommended looked nice, but we didn't have time to try it.

There is some noise between rooms but they provide ear plugs. A kettle/coffee machine would be a nice touch. We were fine for one night.

Hotel Central Location is what makes this hotel. We are the type of traveler that books hotels for location to do what we want to do not to lounge in our hotel rooms. Hotel Central is withing walking distance of literally most of Geneva’s main attractions. And those that aren’t within walking distance you can reach with the free public transportation card provided by the hotel and the main bus/train line is right out your door. The room is equipted with most everything you need: private bath, balcony, TV. One glaring omission is a coffee maker. It’s the only room we’ve ever been to where the entry way is through the bathroom. The room is small by US standards but fits right in with the Europe. A nice touch were the ear plugs provided but the city noise was not a problem for us. The hotel is a 15 min walk from Geneva’s main train station. The reception is on the 6th floor and the entry door is locked as the building is shared with other businesses. There’s a key pad to the left, use the buttons to scroll to Hotel Central and press the intercom and they will let you in. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Check in is in the afternoon but our flight arrived in the morning. They were able to accommodate us and let us check in early which was a huge help. We would stay there again and recommend Hotel Central.

Lack of coffee maker. The room is small by US standards, but we didn't book this hotel to stay in the room. As with a lot of European locations the elevator is a 2 person car.

Best check-in service possibly ever. The guy who did it explained all that we needed to know about the local area and what to see, complete with map. Very helpful and efficient front desk throughout our stay. We found the rooms slightly odd as you entered via the bathroom, but in the end this didn't actually affect our stay. The rooms are small doubles so I booked a room each for myself and my two adult children. Very glad we didn't try to double up as the small double has the bed pushed against the wall. LOVED the location with the old town right on our doorstep. The room was warm and the view fine. Bed very comfortable. Rooms clean. Liked the table and two chairs.

Well this is a basic hotel charged at Geneva prices so overall we were happy. But coffee facilities would have been nice. If not in the rooms, then a central coffee machine in reception even would have helped as getting up and out before even a hot drink first thing was not great on a snowy morning.

The hotel is located at the right spot, just behind the main road. Walking distant to the surrounding. Check in experience was fantastic - the lady was so friendly and kind. We are lucky to get free upgrade of the room - more spaces. The hotel property is a mixed of hotel and offices - dont be surprise if you found that your floor has few offices. We love the hotel and intend to come back again after few days unfortunately it was fully booked.

The location was perfect and everything was in easy reach. We walked everywhere and made use of the Geneva pass for public transport (we had this emailed to us prior to our stay which was extremely helpful as we used it to get from the airport when we arrived). Staff were helpful & gave us specific directions of where to go for a reasonable breakfast (Croissant or pain au chocolat and a hot drink for €8). The room was adequate and we had opted for a twin which included shower & basin in the room with a shared toilet which was near the room. Another nice touch was complimentary ear plugs (also a forewarning of what was to come haha) and chocolates!

Although perfectly located the drawback was the noise at night from passers by. There’s not much the hotel can do about that and they do provide complimentary ear plugs on arrival.

The location is awesome right near the lake in fountain. It is very easy to get to and from the main train station and airport. There were multiple locked doors to get to your room so it was very safe and secure. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful. it being my first time in the city, she explained to me how to get around where everything was and more importantly how to get to the airport quickly and cheaply when it was time to go

The shower is the smallest shower I’ve ever seen. But there was plenty of hot water.

Excellent value for money, great location, lovely staff. To be honest I was expecting some pokey little hole for the amount I paid but it was really nice - quirky, comfortable, clean. And a balcony!

Nothing, everything was as described. Obviously I would have preferred a private toilet but it is clearly stated in the listing that it is shared. The fact that there was a shower in the room was a welcome surprise 😁
