Hotel Montana was perfectly located within walking distance to both the train station and the Lake. The Hotel itself is fairly basic but it was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We stayed for 2 nights and we had clean towels and maid service for the duration of the stay which wasn't expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also really good value for money and filled our stomachs ahead of a day of exploring. The hotel also had free WiFi with a strong signal which was great for keeping in touch with home.

The room suited our needs and we had no complaints.

Breakfast was OK but weak--no sliced cheeses for example, and you have to cook your own egg. On a work trip where you are tight for time, I would prefer more cheeses and ready-cooked hard-boiled eggs. Also, needs more bread diversity (baguettes would be nice). Also, the room was a bit stuffy, but too loud to open the window (but a common problem in cold weather).

The room was spotlessly clean, the bathroom was small but equally clean and there was an adequate supply of shower gel and soaps. The towels were well-laundered and well folded. I needed a Swiss adapter and the evening receptionist actually went to a hotel close by to get one compatible for my needs which I thought was exceptionally courteous. The lady in the breakfast room was polite and helpful and spoke good English. All the staff I spoke with had excellent English and Italian.

There was really nothing that could have been improved. I would have enjoyed an omlette at breakfast rather than the choice of just a boiled egg, but the breakfast buffet was more than adequate and the dining room was very well-run.

Breakfast was almost same in every day but we completed by things that are nearby. The location is near the lake and in the same time near railway station. Very easy to cross the city by tram, by bus as all is in the pass you receive for the period in Geneve

Very poor the cleaning products in the bathroom for the category of the hotel, no bar products in the refrigirator.

Very good location between train station and lake Leman. The area is full of restaurants and shops (at reasonably good price). My room on the 5th floor facing inside is very quiet and clean. Breakfast is good and provides good array of choices as compared to many hotels I have been. Shower room is very clean, bright and in good size. The price is at very good value.

Reception area looks tired, but we don’t sleep in the reception.

My friend and I only stayed here for one night. The hotel was clean and in an excellent location, a 3 minute walk from the main station and a 5 minute walk to the lake. There's a chocolate and souvenir shop right next door. There are lots of great restaurants in walking distance.

The bathroom in our room was quite small but was clean and fine for a night. Our room faced the main road so when we opened our door we had street noise but it didn't put us off.

Excellent location, easy to find from the train station. The reception staff were very helpful and advised on what trams to take to visit the various parts of Geneva. The hotel made contact with us regarding our Geneva passes (free transportation) which was very helpful and useful. Lots of cafes within a close walking distance. The beds were comfortable enough for a short city break.

I believe the rooms could become quiet stifling in July/August. It was Ok for us, the room had a stand up fan which was useful since we were fortunate to have great weather during our stay.

Our room was excellent and the location superb. Near the station and restaurants, and also a short walk to the lake.

The only criticism I have is that the English stations on the TV were not available, only news channels in English were available. After a busy day sightseeing it would have been nice to watch a programme and relax.

I wanted a room close to the Cornavin station, with a fridge in the room, and got exactly what I wanted. My room had even a small balcony. The bonus, though, were the reception staff. The airline lost my luggage and Thomas at the reception helped me communicate with the company that (eventually!) delivered my suitcase - I was extremely grateful for his help.

My room went out to the street. I actually really liked it, but it could have been too noisy for some. Breakfast maybe could have started sooner, but I suppose 7 am is OK for most.

Room-great. Great bad. Very clean. Great stuff. Delicious breakfast (loved the fish, yoghurt, bread, butter, coffee-I think I might say everything). Not far from Geneva Lake. Great for morning running. Center. Close to Gare de Cornavin. Ooo, and coffee maschine.

I love to sleep with open windows... There were something noisy happening outside 3/6 nights))) But it can be easily solved by closing the window.
